As an Irish citizen it’s really for good reason. We basically spit in the face of the rest of Europe for things we have no control over and things they have no control over just so we can claim some moral high ground. Most Irish people would probably support just demonising the shit out of Israel and somehow think that will solve the problem while the Germans, French and Dutch don’t do that and actually have the Israeli government at least listening to them. The Irish people and the Irish government have just made that harder. So yeah we receive a lot of hate because we deserve it.
