It’s not sympathy votes, their song is an absolute banger. Original, creative, memorable. Ukraine have forever had top tier entries. Ukraine 2012 (for the bot)

The fact that they WON the semifinal is heavily thanks to sympathy vote, than they would have Qed even without and the fans were wrong, but it's not a song that wins a semi normally.
