⏪️ Throwback Thursday Diljá — Power (Iceland 2023)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzlTcA0OC5sShe had amazing vocals (and power). No way Poland qualified over this. This really deserved that final spot, and probably the most underrated song that Iceland sent in recent years. I think it would’ve qualified if they had a different draw, but it’s still what it is. Iceland 2023 for the bot

I agree. This was one of my favorites from 2023. I thought the song was nice and her vocals superb.

my third place of 2023, absolutely phenomenal vocals staging and song, totally robbed of a final

My third place of 2023 too… and maybe my number one if it was entered in 2025.

It's an entry that works on paper for me, but everything just sort of went wrong. The vocals were a little too much, the instrumental was weirdly mixed and (ironically) not really powerful and the stage looked so empty. Also (this is a niche concern but still) personally I think this is one of the entries that were most screwed over by the higher framerate of the camera used in 2023, it looked SO uneasy on the eye to me.

I liked this one. Her performance really sold the emotion of the song

I feel like I'd like this song more if I listened to the studio first. Something about the song live felt really empty, and I think it was just bad mixing. The staging had nothing going on either, but honestly I didn't really notice is that much. The problem was I couldn't help but feel like something was off, likely due to how quiet the instrumental was.

I'm ngl this was actually a mess the choreography was over the top and Diljá was oversinging and I think she's rlly talented but this wasn't it

Criminally underrated. Although I must admit that the whole package of Bridges was better. But Power still should have qualified over Poland
