Earliest released Eurovision entry after September 1st?

Now I suspect that there is a thread somewhere already for this but I cannot find one through the Search, so I'll pose the question again...

Is there a Eurovision entry that has an earlier commercial release than Blanka's "Solo"? 23rd September is the date to beat that appears on download and steaming sites.

Jako is *really close* (29 September), and the two I thought might beat it are 21 October (Viszlát nyár) and 23 November (Pali się), so that might be the earliest one!

Edit: forgot another early one, 13 October for Doomsday Blue

Solo (Poland 2023) is even earlier - September 23rd :)

Speaking as the OP, that is the song that is the starting point in my post 😁

Im sorry what? Jako was released on 13 march 2024. If anything it was one of the last songs released for esc 2024

It was confirmed for Eurovision on 13 March. It was released with Ladaniva's album much earlier

Really? I feel like that’s one of the few times when a song was released first and then announced as an entry much later

hasn't happened much at all in the last little while. Space Man was another one, although that was released much closer (22 February, then announced for ESC 10 March)

It’s the same case with „Solo” and „My Słowianie”

Self titled album with "Jakob" on it was indeed 29th September the previous year.

Guess that's when it was confirmed as the Armenian entry? But often the songs have already been released and are available to listen to, it's just not known that they've been lined up for Eurovision yet.

Belgium 2011 and Switzerland 2011-2016 had online submissions sites where every submitted entry was publicly available that opened on September 1st each time. I guess not strictly a commercial release but for the purposes of the rules it’d count I guess

Good call, I had forgotten those submission processes where the entries got added online until the closing date. Problem is knowing when the artist who got to Eurovision actually submitted it! The Swiss ones did give us fans something to look at over Autumn though 🙂

And actually it was Belgium’s idea before the 2011 contest to move the deadline from October 1 to September 1, and they started the online submissions right away.

Cyprus 2025 choose very early Theo, but the song was one of the last releases.
