tbf they were headed that way anyway, until the Unit-04 incident got followed up on by trauma after trauma, and they didn't really have time to try to get freaky any more.

At least IIRC it's been ages since I've watched the series.

In the rebuild, her body hasn't aged during the 14 years gap, because of LCL exposure (movie science). At the end of the rebuild, you see adults character (all of them but Asuka is only in a background IIRC and they look pretty similar.

…weird. I swear the composition of the shot was different. Little kid with the pickaxe was swinging it, Anya wasn’t in Yor’s arms. The sign indicating it was Dachau’s was more plainly visible. Goes to show how unreliable my memory is…

But like, no. Khyleri has a schtick and this was for shock value. They’ve drawn Anya building the loli skinner [EXTREMELY GRAPHIC REFERENCE], Sayori in a box full of tree ornaments piloting the submarine that imploded, Anya getting attacked by a gorilla, Yor Forger dying in a house fire (or just cooking), hell there’s more

That was vile. Yes, there’s plausible deniability and it did spread some awareness. I’m not giving Khyleri credit for that, though.
