Why did you leave the red pill?
I’d never labelled myself a red piller but I was addicted to being exposed to the red pill content just for cheap dopamine. Some red pillars had good takes but I don’t see that as necessarily a red pilled ideology but more common sense.
What made lead to detached myself from the red pill movement is promoting burnout culture. They push the narrative that being poor is always a personal failure, ignoring systemic issues like wage stagnation, rising living costs, and economic inequality. Their whole persona is built around punching down, making them feel superior while farming attention from both supporters and haters. And when they get backlash, they play the victim, acting like they're hated just for being rich, rather than for being obnoxious and demeaning. Andrew Tate is prime example; he often post videos moaning about people for judging him when he judges everyone else and call them “brokies”.
It’s also common for red pillers go obsessively attack peoples for playing video games, even if it’s 1 hour a day. So yeah, what made you leave the red pill?

It simply did not mesh with my in person experience, and online behavior definitionally should take a backseat to what is personally observed. There's nothing people put at stake in online behavior the way they have to do it in person, so it's just worth less.
And since red pill is terminally online, it lost by default.

Yeah the aspects they ascribe as being innate to ALL women are things I only encountered in the absolute most damaged, traumatized and hurt women I've ever met. It's kind of telling that one of the old-guard of redpill is Rollo Tomassi. He often mentions his experience dating a woman with BPD. I recently went through a similar experience, so I can tragically sympathize with the guy. But I'm healthy enough to realize her behavior was a result of severe dysfunction and not just because she was a woman.

At some point, it became super obvious that it’s about manipulating vulnerable women to your advantage, not forming a healthy relationship with a partner. That goes against both my religion and my personal values.

When I was insecure and very angry the redpill was my best friend. It gave me comfort to blame my problems/internal problems on the world by acting like they didn’t exist…..since mental health isn’t real. Once I grew and did a lot of soul searching and therapy. I realized my very toxic traits and mental health issues, dysfunction in my life etc. As I did that I slowly started to distance myself from the redpill the more I realize how toxic it was. FYI the soul Searching never stop if you want to grow in life.

Rationale: it produces none of the intended outcomes.
Emotionale: it's exhausting being angry all the time.

copy pasting my old reply. I am also going to add: racism and culture war garbage.
It became very obvious that the redpill pushers were scammers.
Also, I like having sex, and the redpill became an obvious barrier to that.

I was tired of the racism and antisemitism - realized I believed incredibly terrible, nonsensical things that did nothing to improve my life and I had created a digital footprint that may come back to bite me. When I left, I was harassed and stalked in such a way that has led to the FBI getting involved, further solidifying my desire to change.
I’m really scared for what we’re setting up Gen Alpha for. They have free range access to the internet and are not safeguarding their identities in these extremist online circles. They’re going to experience a whole world of hurt when they face the drama and blackmailing from red pill communities. We need to do something about this.

so it was the racism and antisemitism that made you leave... but not the misogyny??? The actual core of the entire thing? Right..

Because it was affecting my mental health, self-esteem, and making me afraid to take emotional risk like expressing attraction and talking to women, thus unable to grow and build the type of relationships I wanted to build. I just became lonelier while watching other people enjoy their relationships. And also realizing that what I read and watched online didn't match what I observed in real life. I'm still affected by a lot of it, and work to reverse it's effects.

The bigotry especially racism, Christian chauvinism and anti-Semitism.
You are right, they do ignore the systemic issues going on in society.
There are other men’s groups to look for that are more inclusive and supportive.

Late to this post but mostly because I wanted to get married and start a family, and that community was for whatever reason extremely against that. I’m now married to a woman I love more than anything and can’t imagine my life without her in it.
TRP community would call that a “beta” mentality or “blue pilled”, when in reality it’s a perfectly natural thing for any man or woman to desire. To run away from that desire is what’s actually unnatural.
