I’ve come to realize that there is no escaping once you’ve read that story. You just have to keep getting constant, unexpected reminders everywhere you go on reddit.

Why not the coconut?

5

u/HalfCaffAfternoon Oct 16 '18

Ah yes, a nice sip of coconut milk should do the trick! And I see this one already has a hole in it!

u/dilsexicbacno Oct 16 '18

Excuse me while I vomit.

We have gone too far.

u/NECROmorph_42 Oct 16 '18

Oh no you really do feel ill. /u/asifbaig has a coconut with a hole in it that you could use? After all, there’s nothing suspicious about coconuts.

Not as far as the swamps of Dagobah though

I dunno, it's not really that bad. As long as they're not having kids I don't see the harm. The only real danger is potential genetic issues in children, but sex itself seems fine, as long as you're not making kids with it.

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

It's just reeeeeaaaal weird

18

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Yes it is really that bad.

It’s disgusting

u/Tavia_Melody Oct 16 '18

But it's not really your business, and it's not hurting anyone. Disgusting or not, you're not involved in it so what does it matter?

u/SumThinChewy Oct 16 '18

This is incorrect

2

u/Hypertroph Oct 16 '18

It’s an abuse of power, among other things. Like a teacher having sex with a student, except with the bonus potential for genetic abnormalities.

u/Ewokmauler Oct 16 '18

I mean this is also ignoring the moral issues with it.

Technically it isn’t wrong but it should be

7

u/kathartik Oct 16 '18

no, it's wrong.

1

u/Ewokmauler Oct 16 '18

Absolutely I agree, I was trying to point out this guys obtuse beliefs

2

u/kathartik Oct 17 '18

haha okay, sorry my bad.

2

u/Ewokmauler Oct 17 '18

All good man! I can see how my comment would be misinterpreted.

Especially with that guys wack comment on top of it Hahahah

Have a good one bud!

Technically it is wrong but it shouldn't be. Clearly society has a massive problem with it, you being part of that society, yet there isn't really anything too negative about it other than society's distaste for it. Logicially speaking, it's not at all dangerous, and it's only really harmful for children's genetics if it continues for several generations, so as long as children aren't made this way at all there's really no risk on anyone's part, the only issue is the general distaste for it by most of the population.

7

u/Ewokmauler Oct 16 '18

I think logically it could be dangerous. The bonobo, a primate well known for the swinger society doesn’t allow the mother to mate with the child. The child can mate with anyone else of a pack male or female and that doesn’t matter so clearly there is some sort of societal implication of danger with this beyond what our human societal standards are.

Tl;dr chimps don’t even fuck their mums, there’s instinctual danger involved beyond genetic issue

-2

u/TexasSnyper Oct 16 '18

And genetic issues is relatively rare for incest, especially for first generation. Unlike what is portrayed in media, simply being a child of incest doesn't create genetic issues. All it does is remove the ability to diversify your genetic gene pool so any latent genetic issues has a higher chance to express itself.

Yeah, I didn't think just one instance of it would do that much.
