The complete silence when it comes to pricing is quite deafening.

Indeed, maybe we will get lucky and they will go the route of mighty wings and drop the prices to try to get rid of them after no one buys.

u/Square-Principle-195 Jun 16 '25

Seriously, same, I loved these so much, fuck McDonald's GREED

68

u/ChaserNeverRests Jun 03 '25

Popeyes just announced a wrap with one chicken finger is $4, so McD will likely be equal that or more...

90

u/apb89 Jun 03 '25

Wild 4 dollars for a single tender in a shitty tortilla. These companies have truly lost their minds.

27

u/Jeskid14 Jun 03 '25

Luckily del taco has theirs for around $2 for years

12

u/Bear79 Jun 03 '25

Same for Sonic

4

u/apb89 Jun 03 '25 edited Jun 03 '25

Oh ya, I actually enjoyed the sonic ones when I’ve tried them.

5

u/zgillet Jun 03 '25

Used to work there. Solid wrap.

3

u/MassiveLie2885 Jun 04 '25

I liked the Sonic ones because the sauces were so good but the Popeye's ones are lametastic.

1

u/AnAppleBee Jun 04 '25

They’re good, but I wish they still had the ranch one. My sonic only has the $1.99 ones with queso in them. The 1.99 chicken sandwich is a good stand in though.

1

u/EquivalentChampion24 Jun 14 '25

Sonic’s snack wrap made me sick from the cheap cheese wiz they use instead of shredded

1

u/toddfrancis34 Jun 08 '25

The sonic ones are tiny but fire

9

u/apb89 Jun 03 '25

Wish I had a del taco near me

4

u/Jeskid14 Jun 03 '25

Get the snack wraps at sonic instead. They have them available too!

1

u/DirkKeggler Jun 03 '25

Those are more like a chicken patty,  rather than whole pieces of meat

3

u/Flimsy6769 Jun 04 '25

The people who’ve really lost their minds are the people who keep buying it

1

u/Jearbear_14 Jul 10 '25

Blame the companies less than the people who keep buying it. They could price them $6 and people would STILL buy 4 wraps

1

u/apb89 Jul 10 '25

yep cant deny wat u saying

3

u/scislac Jun 05 '25

To make it worse it's advertised as 3.99 in the ad images in-app but the item is actually 4.49 instead... Totally wild IMHO.

1

u/kitkat21996 Jun 14 '25

Sonic's had them - with bacon and queso - for $2! Honestly mcd just keeps getting more and more disappointing

3

u/Resident_boofer Jun 03 '25

My exact same thoughts. I commented on their posts, but I doubt it will get them to share the pricing.

1

u/viperware Jun 17 '25

Over/under on $4.69?

1

u/jjsslo Jul 10 '25

$2.99 jahbless

86

u/Spongemage Jun 03 '25

The new tenders are so terrible that it actually killed all of my excitement for snack wraps returning.

40

u/PotentialDrag182 Jun 03 '25

agreed. and they're not even gonna have a honey mustard flavor! wtf.

10

u/rosstamonsta Jun 03 '25

Maybe order it plain, and then get a side of honey mustard sauce and open up the wrap and put the honey mustard sauce in there. next best option

27

u/Hrhnick Jun 04 '25

“That’ll be .25 cents for the sauce, and we probably won’t remember to put it in the bag anyways.”

0

u/StuTheBassist Jul 04 '25

Then take a second to check the bag before you walk/drive off?

4

u/MassiveLie2885 Jun 04 '25

Burger King and Popeye's both have honey mustard options.

1

u/Amethyst-Clouds Jul 10 '25

I miss the chipotle one 😭

13

u/avelineaurora Jun 03 '25

Big same. I was jazzed to try them and they were absolutely awful. I'd have to debate eating more even if someone offered for free.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

2

u/MassiveLie2885 Jun 04 '25

I figured it would be bad simply because it is McDonald's. Even the fries I don't get the hype. The hot n' spicy McChicken is good though.

4

u/Open-Comedian8845 Jun 05 '25

Burger King gas gas wraps for a while now that are identical to the original snack wraps, do yourself a favor and just go to BK once

210

u/masterz13 Jun 03 '25

If it's more than the $1.99 it's worth, pass. Knowing them, it'll be like $3.49 per wrap. And it's the wrong chicken tender anyway...bring back the chicken selects.

96

u/_Bren10_ Jun 03 '25

Yea if it’s the McCrispy strips, no thank you. I’ve had gas station chicken strips that are better than those.

47

u/Hydration__Nation Jun 03 '25

Well I guess no thank you I am sorry.

McDonald’s literally wrote in their press release description that they would contain McCrispy strips

And I agree with you that the strips are absolute trash like so bad wouldn’t get them free with an app deal would choose fries

27

u/Usual_Phase5466 Jun 03 '25

To be fair, some gas stations have some absolutely banging chicken strips..

8

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '25

I had some amazing Krispy Krunchy (gas station) chicken today. The one time I ate the new McCrispy strips I had to force myself to finish them.

5

u/KolKlink2024 Jun 04 '25

Does every city have a Krispy Krunchy Chicken in a gas station?

2

u/[deleted] Jun 04 '25

Probably lol. My small town has about three of them at different gas stations. Some are good and some aren’t, but when they’re good? Damn, they’re good.

3

u/KolKlink2024 Jun 04 '25

Agreed. Some also go by New Orleans Krunchy Chicken

2

u/MassiveLie2885 Jun 04 '25

I am still trying to find some amazing cheese crackers I got from a gas station once. Every time I find something at the store that might be similar it is gross or only halfway to what I'm looking for.

17

u/Enzhymez Jun 03 '25

Not saying the McCrispy strips aren’t terrible, but some gas station chicken is actually fire depending on where you live lol

4

u/zgillet Jun 03 '25

Casey's strips aint bad, they remind me of the Selects.

3

u/jordanundead Jun 04 '25

They always McSoggy.

1

u/Internal_Lawyer7394 Jul 09 '25

Facts I bet you 7-Eleven has better chicken tenders now

1

u/PatternIllustrious54 Jul 10 '25

Those new strips are NOT good

36

u/momerak Jun 03 '25

Oh They’ll be $1.99*

*with in app purchase, using the coupon for $1.99 w/ a value meal purchase (regular price $3.49) limit one.

When a McDouble and a small fry is $9 without using the app and coupons? Even late night I go to Taco Bell and get 2x the food for 1/2 the price from their value menu

2

u/MassiveLie2885 Jun 04 '25

Ew, you have to buy more McDonald's food to save on other lackluster McDonald's food? Yikes. Sorry but they are the lamest of the big fast food restaurants, the coolest thing about them is their collabs with Disney and Pokemon for Happy Meals...but even there, Burger King has the best Pokemon collab ever, I guess McDonald's use to have good ones but now it is just the dopey cards.

2

u/Open-Comedian8845 Jun 05 '25

Nothing on Taco Bell's menu is that cheap anymore

11

u/BurritosSoGood Jun 03 '25

Yeah I don’t think they have the right chicken for this.

6

u/F4ze0ne Jun 03 '25

Jack in the box is $3.49 each for theirs.

21

u/masterz13 Jun 03 '25

And that's overpriced too. Popeye's is $3.99. I know we don't live in 2006 anymore, but come on. It's a single tender, small tortilla, ranch, and lettuce. I don't even know if they'll put a sprinkle of cheese on it.

6

u/real_picklejuice Jun 03 '25

plus every single jack wrap i've had was thrown together by a 5 year old. Idk why it's so hard for them to actually W R A P a single tender

1

u/MassiveLie2885 Jun 04 '25

Popeye's fails at wraps imo I did not know Jack in the Box had them.

4

u/Rynetx Jun 03 '25

I think Popeyes uses a different chicken than their strips for the wrap. They described it as a generous piece of fried chicken.

1

u/Internal_Lawyer7394 Jul 09 '25

Yeah, I tried it the other day. I’m actually thinking about getting it again. The Popeyes tender was kinda massive. Like hotdog size? I was like what

1

u/MassiveLie2885 Jun 04 '25

Popeye's wraps are not good imo. I will not be craving that. It is for the best, I really liked the Crispy Cuppy from Papa John's and ordered it quite a few times, the pepperonit bites not the full pizza and when I went for the papadia it was lame, and the funny thing is a YouTube content creator refused to try the Papa Bites but they were the most alluring thing.

That said I am kind of a fan of the pickle flavored wings but n ine bucks for six boneless wings seems excessive.

6

u/Some_Ride1014 Jun 03 '25

The new strips suck, I miss the selects.

3

u/ZachPL_ Jun 03 '25

The McCrispy strips suck ass, if its not like chicken selects no one is buying that garbage

3

u/Bluberrypotato Jun 04 '25

They're available here in Puerto Rico, and they're around 2/$6. Looking at the average prices in Florida, and they seem to be similar to the prices here.

2

u/Cautious_Topic5687 Jun 04 '25

lol the chicken selects just aren’t profitable enough for them

2

u/trojanusc Jun 05 '25

One single hash brown is almost $4 now. Nothing is gonna be $1.99 lol

1

u/Dr_Clout Jun 05 '25

Although I agree… a snack wrap in 2010 was roughly $1.39 give or take

15 years later you think it’s only going to have gone up .60 cents? That doesn’t make sense

30

u/Atlanta-Anomaly Jun 03 '25

Now let’s get back parfaits

9

u/Mixture-Emotional Jun 03 '25

I was just thinking about this yesterday! I had completely forgotten about them and was wondering why they got rid of them. Sure, no one goes there to eat healthy but those were pretty good as a snack or treat after the food.

14

u/mattchewy43 Jun 03 '25

They got rid of them, along with many things (salads, snack wraps, selects, bagels) during covid.

5

u/ZombeePharaoh Jun 03 '25

Bagels are back, and they even brought them back to places where they left 20 years ago (Arizona).

I hadn't seen a McDonald's bagel since I was 10, and I'm 35.

5

u/TuvixWillNotBeMissed Jun 03 '25

They were a bit labor intensive to make, and had to be made in advance. Also they required ingredients that aren't in other menu items, like fresh fruit. They're never coming back.

4

u/El-mas-puto-de-todos Jun 04 '25

I worked at mcd, and I loved making them along with the salads. I took my sweet ass time making them. The fruit definitely was not fresh, it was frozen. It was a scoop of dannon vanilla yogurt, 1/8 cup of frozen berry mix, and another scoop of yogurt. When they sat in the fridge the fruit thawed out.

3

u/Boomshockalocka007 Jun 03 '25

They'd be $4.99 nowadays.

23

u/Jesse1205 Jun 03 '25

I'm not celebrating until I see how overpriced they're gonna be

5

u/KingWizard87 Jun 04 '25

I wouldn’t be celebrating till they announced they weren’t going to use the MCrispy strips as the chicken.

They are horrendous.

22

u/avelineaurora Jun 03 '25

Pass. I genuinely have no idea how those "McCrispy" strips made it out of testing, they're literally the worst tender from a fast food joint I've ever had. I've had better chicken tenders from a gas station, and I'm talking Circle K not Sheetz.

41

u/Knightmere1 Jun 03 '25

Popeyes just came out with snack wraps and they are amazing.

29

u/holyhibachi Jun 03 '25

They're also $4 lol

15

u/-cutigers Jun 03 '25

And you think these are coming out less than $4.99?

3

u/CumDwnHrNSayDat Jun 03 '25

They will absolutely be less than that

1

u/ctilvolover23 Jun 03 '25

They're going to be in a combo meal. So, hopefully not. Especially since a combo comes with two of them.

1

u/NoCardio_ Jun 03 '25

Is that a good thing or a bad thing to you?

2

u/holyhibachi Jun 03 '25

If they're $4 they better be good and substantial

3

u/ChaserNeverRests Jun 03 '25

They have one single chicken finger in them, so they won't be substantial unless you're a toddler.

5

u/holyhibachi Jun 03 '25

Right so "they're $4 lol"

16

u/yautja0117 Jun 03 '25

The new strips are awful so PASS. You can make decent wraps at home that aren't full of woody tendons and would probably cost less on the whole.

3

u/SnorkinOrkin Jun 11 '25

Yes! They are advertising the snack wraps (one tiny chicken finger) for $4.00.

Get a package of frozen Tysons Chicken Breast Tenders (in whatever flavor) and bake them golden and crispy, throw on some fresh shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and whatever dressing or dipping sauce, all wrapped in a warm tortilla, and there you go!

Tysons Chicken Breast Tenders/any fingers — $8.99

8oz shredded cheese — $2.99

Lettuce — .89

Flour fajita sized tortillas — $3.29

Whatever dipping or dressing you have...

All of that for the price of four "snack wraps." 😋

2

u/yautja0117 Jun 11 '25

I go a step beyond and get the Spicy Simply Bare Chicken breasts ($11 for 6) and I get the massive burrito wraps. I make mine massive and usually get 2 wraps a breast. Add lettuce, tomato and bacon.

2

u/SnorkinOrkin Jun 12 '25

Ooof! That's even better! Oooh, baby, yeah!

Thank you. I'm putting that on my grocery list to check out for my next shopping run tomorrow.

This thread made me hungry, ngl.

2

u/yautja0117 Jun 12 '25

Hopefully you can find them! I only see that brand at Woodman's. The regular ones are ok but kinda bland. The spicy ones are fairly mild but have good flavor.

2

u/SnorkinOrkin Jun 12 '25

Ooh, it's at Target. I've got it on my list to check out. I do love the spicy ones. Thank you!

15

u/ios_static Jun 03 '25

“After months of waiting, McDonald’s has finally revealed that the Snack Wraps will begin rolling out to stores on July 10, 2025, and they will be available in two different flavors: spicy and ranch.

The spicy variant, of course, brings the same habanero kick from the Spicy McCrispy Sandwich as it uses the same sauce. Ranch is described as “smooth, rich, and irresistibly savory” and is a nod to the original 2016 snack wraps.

Each one features a single McCrispy Strip, lettuce, cheese, and whichever sauce your heart desires.”

27

u/masterz13 Jun 03 '25

2016? The original snack wraps were from the 2000s lol

12

u/Tony_Lacorona Jun 03 '25

lol I worked at McDonald’s circa 2005-6ish when the snack wrap came out, young intern alert 🚨

6

u/ios_static Jun 03 '25

They might update the article, I’ve seen it happen before when Reddit users correct them

4

u/NotYoted Jun 04 '25

they were discontinued in 2016

-2

u/Mydogdexter1 Jun 03 '25

This is confusing since the Mcdonalds near me have had snack wraps for like literally ever?

11

u/KiKiPAWG Jun 03 '25

Nah if they don’t have the selects back then forget it. They going to be bunk

8

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

WTF, no Big Mac snack wrap?

3

u/apb89 Jun 03 '25

This man asking the real question.

1

u/TisforTrainwreck Jun 04 '25

This is honestly a crime against humanity.

10

u/mad_injection Jun 03 '25

Literally every comment is negative

9

u/Filmatic113 Jun 03 '25

With the fried shit tenders no thank you

7

u/notthatkindoforc1121 Jun 03 '25

I would be excited for these had I not tried the McCrispies last week. Like, if they were $2 each I'd still choose something else. Odds are this is like $3-$4 each lol

7

u/swiftxstew Jun 04 '25

this would’ve been exciting if the new chicken strips weren’t absolutely horrific barely breaded rubber

6

u/TatumLacksAura Jun 03 '25

The new strips suck unfortunately.

5

u/ancientalienzombie Jun 03 '25

No honey mustard one is crazy

3

u/HorsedickGoldstein Jun 04 '25

Facts can’t believe I had to scroll this far to see someone else upset over no HM

7

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

It won't taste good with the new strips

5

u/MaximumBiscuit1 Jun 03 '25

Honestly a waste of time. The new chicken sucks, no honey mustard or bbq, and its probably gonna be expensive.

4

u/Electabuzz21 Jun 03 '25

Damn Popeyes dropped there’s too lol.

3

u/brb214 Jun 03 '25

No chipotle BBQ they can fuck off

3

u/Icosotc Jun 03 '25

Let’s just hope they use the classic crispy chicken strips, and it tastes the same. I ordered their new chicken strips the other day… pretty gross. Definitely had better tendies from a gas station before

3

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '25

I had the Popeyes version today. Delicious.

3

u/Lost-in-EDH Jun 03 '25

Sized as a snack, priced as an entree

3

u/juneXgloom Jun 03 '25

Damn I was hoping they'd bring back the grilled option with the chipotle BBQ. I practically lived off of those.

3

u/DelayDue3090 Jun 04 '25

$4.29 a wrap I bet

3

u/drewber83 Jun 04 '25

I'm guessing they'll be priced at 2 for 5 maybe $3.29 each? Anything above that I don't think folks will be interested.

3

u/Massive-Handz Jun 05 '25

If it’s the mccrispy chicken strips, no thanks. They are not the same as the buttermilk crunchy flavor they use to have back in the day….. I’m so old

3

u/Massive-Handz Jun 05 '25

PASS. They need to bring back the chicken strips select recipe. The mccrispy tastes nasty

2

u/WISCOrear Jun 03 '25

The beauty of the snack wrap was that you could get 3 or 4 under $10.

If these things are $4, $5 per wrap, gtfo.

2

u/Mrmeeksees Jun 03 '25

Its using the new chicken strips, which are F- tier dogshit. This is not the snackwrap we know and love

2

u/Erocdotusa Jun 04 '25

2 for $3 and I'm in

2

u/Donnie_the_Greek Jun 04 '25

Dang these were discontinued in 2016, seems like yesterday.

2

u/GeekPanda Jun 05 '25

So they are gonna be using their new nasty overpriced chicken strips and they don't even have the decency to bring back the original trio in full? No honey mustard or chipotle BBQ? Pass...

2

u/CompetitiveRub9780 Jun 05 '25

Are they not doing the grilled ones anymore?

2

u/hippiejo Jun 05 '25

Gonna be trash just like the McCrispy strips.

2

u/No-Examination-7081 Jun 12 '25

Not even bringing back the grilled chicken or ranch option so I'm out. McDonald's grilled chicken used to be absolute fire, im surprised more people havent commented on that. The OG grilled ranch snack wraps were my go to back in the day. You used to be able to get like three of them for six bucks and be good to go. I don't know why these shitty corporations can't just do what the customers actually ask for. The new mccrispy strips are fucking gross as well. I tried them recently and the breading was so slimy and the chicken was rubbery as hell. I don't see this going well for McDonald's, especially with how high the price is going to be. McDonald's is only good for their breakfasts anymore anyway, otherwise BK is superior in every other aspect

2

u/Kateemmacxx Jun 13 '25

Bro the snack wrap was my favorite thing to get!!! Id add pickle and dip it in sweet n sour 🤤My husband told me they were coming back and I said they better not put one of those nasty looking tenders in them! Just googled it and they are using those new tenders 😒 i havent even tried them but they don’t look good. The old chicken they used was good and looks so much more appealing too!!

2

u/dvdvante Jun 29 '25

the tenders suck so bad yeah :[

2

u/Fluffy-Raspberry-673 Jul 07 '25

They released today that it will cost $2.99

1

u/ARustyShackle Jun 03 '25

Once they removed them from the menu I started just making my own at home since they're brain-dead simple to make. Frozen chicken strips in the air fryer turn out just fine. Throw them in a tortilla with some cheddar jack cheese, lettuce, sauce, and you're good to go. So, if they're any more expensive than they were before (they will be) then I don't see myself going out of my way to get these again.

1

u/PlayedUOonBaja Jun 03 '25

I thought it was their burger snack wraps that people wanted them to bring back. Seems like an easier thing to do than a fried chicken option.

1

u/Glotsby Jun 03 '25

Not even bringing back their most popular flavors. Why are they so set on using that terrible sauce on their terrible chicken sandwiches? The new strips suck too.  Popeyes ones are the only ones I’m gonna be trying.

1

u/HippoProject Jun 05 '25

They were a $1.49 back in the day. If a McChicken is $3.50 now, I’d say the Snack Wrap will be around $4.00. Which would be crazy, the whole point of the Snack Wrap was that they were a cheap snack.

1

u/Dmte Jun 05 '25

Release pricing, you cowards.

1

u/Outrageous-Feed5667 Jun 05 '25

First off, the tortilla has always tasted like construction paper, with way too much sauce on a sprinkle of cheese and 4 strands of lettuce that tastes worse than straight up grass. And now you're feeding us lawsuit-waiting-to-happen McCrispy strips that's made out of bones and pig feet for HOW MUCH?

1

u/Toricitycondor Jun 06 '25

I just want the Big Mac burger one back

1

u/communitygarden17 Jun 06 '25

they’re not even bringing chipotle bbq flavor back, this sucks

1

u/ReceptionThen8492 Jun 07 '25

I wonder if these will still be as good as

1

u/cbwb Jun 17 '25

Is the breading seasoned? My people don't like much seasoning . They like BBQ sauce, but would be nice if they could like Taco Bell too.

1

u/TheReal2012HD Jul 10 '25

Why didn’t they bring back honey mustard smh

1

u/Suspicious_Taro_3388 Jul 10 '25

No big Mac snack wrap is pathetic I'm sure it's gonna be 6$+ anyways for a chicken tender on a tortilla

1

u/Hotmom1183 Jul 12 '25

This is ridiculous… saying the snack wrap wasn’t released until 2006 I had my stroke in 2003 and my husband used to bring me snack wraps all the time!!!

1

u/WarlockOfDestiny Jul 21 '25

$3 for a wrap lmao

1

u/Freelander68 1h ago

I tried the Sonic Bacon Ranch Queso Wrap recently and holy mackeral it was amazing. I am definitely going to try the Sonic Southwest Crunch Queso Wrap as well in the near future.

0

u/thegreat11ne Jun 03 '25

Stefan Johnson about to cry tears of joy rn

0

u/emwashe Jun 03 '25

If this is more than a mcchicken I’m out

0

u/stayhappystayblessed Jun 04 '25

Can't wait to try these out.

0

u/Proud_Apartment_7816 Jun 04 '25

Hopefully it'll be on the Mcvalue menu, but either way it's on and popping I'm getting like 10 of them
