This is very well-written. Only 35 people had the guts to sign?

This is not true. Not only was the letter shared with staff across regions, there were staff from 3 or 4 regional offices as well as HQ who had a part in organizing and writing the letter. We knew going into this that we would have a harder time gathering support than other agencies who have published similar letters because of our agency’s geographic spread and the culture of fear that has been bred under this administration.

It may not have made its way to you, but as someone who was on the team that put this together, I can promise it got sent to people at every region. We are a team of about 10, and unfortunately we couldn’t reach everyone. We shared in as many groups as possible and with our personal networks to the best of our ability. Stand Up For Science is still gathering signatures of support, so if you would like to sign and/or share that option is still available.
