Discussion Is it possible to play this in vr?
That would be amazing, is there a mod or something? Im sure it’s great on a 2d screen but games are so much more immersive in vr

This sub gets a ton of almost-identical posts from people who loved Firewatch, and are looking for recs of similar games. SO ... here's a sticky post for the subject. If you know of another game that evokes the spirit of Firewatch, post your recommendation here!
Future posts asking this same question may be subject to deletion.

It could be called cheating but honestly, Jules is never going to come back. Seeing your love one slowly lose themselves is soul crushing, no doubt about that, but i dont think its fair that it should be Henry whole identity from that day forward. We all have the right to move on with out lives, it just doesnt feel right with me to be kept from everything else because of a partner essentially passing

Ive ran into multiple TV shows in which Firewatch music was used, yesterday i ran into a youtube video from a dutch TV show that used "Something's Wrong" in their show https://youtu.be/9_4f5PVg1jY?si=bR0PvWCYSLD1NvvT&t=1584 . And earlier this year i was watching a belgian police show in which a cameracrew joins the Belgian police on patrol that used multiple songs from the game, one of them being Camp Approach but its been a while so dont remember the other ones.
I was wondering if some of you have noticed the same in TV shows that you watch.

(sorry for the bad english)

Why didn't Ned just bury Brian's body?
Seems to me like setting a full operation to monitor and implicate a firewatch team is much harder than just burying a body.
I like the lesson behind the game... I took some lessons from it which I appreciate:
Running from your problems won't solve them.
Giving yourself time to grief can help you get a better perspective.
The lessons may sound contradictory I think both apply. H needed that time to realize running away wasn't a solution and that he needed to be a better husband, but that didn't mean he couldn't move past the relationship. He was able to establish a connection with someone else.
Anyways, I like the lesson from the game but I think the whole Ned situation is at the core of the game and it doesn't make sense. Just bury the body and then there's no need to simulate a conspiracy. Literally go somewhere else. He's doing the opposite of escaping his problem, he's living on top of it.

I've just finished the game and I'm surprised that almost nobody has noticed how obvious it is that Dave is Delilah. If you look at the stuff in the supply crates and the stuff in Delilah's watchtower at the end, it's very obvious. The flowers from one box are the same ones delilah put in the outhouse and the tower. The bars that ron likes so much can also be seen through a gap in the drawers. There's also a picture from one of the boxes in Delilah's tower. So are the antlers - which Delilah knew immediately that they were antlers

so, just finished the game! 100% and got all achievements so now to give my thoughts and a review
TLDR: 8/10 visually beautiful and characters are great, fell in love with them did not like some story beats and the ending
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok now the positives, first things first the soundtrack is amazing holy hell im downloading that asap whoever did the work on that in this game it was a masterclass, and the artsyle and the general vibe of the world is also masterfully done! i adored it! just a beautiful aesthetically pleasing game
Henry and Delilah where great, i adored both of them and there many flaws as people, Delilah was my personal favorite character (sorry hen) and us choosing what kind of "path" henry went on was done pretty seamlessly into the story
just the vibe of this game was great, i don't normally love walking sims but this one was just a treat! just a vibe dissecting these two is exactly what i wanted too see, MWAH! well done chefs kiss
Now my negatives, the plot was super engaging and fun just DOING my job as a firewatcher and enjoying the world, but as soon as the whole "mystery" element with the Goodwin's started is when i got disengaged ill be honest, i very much liked the element with the missing girls i thought that was actually really cool and interesting
im not sure why the game tried to tease some giant government conspiracy with the private fence and the doohickies and what not when it was just some loser hiding in the woods, and im also not sure..what the point of it was? honestly i was fine just wandering and vibing and having Henry and Delilah's relationship fall apart naturally as there more toxic parts show
and im sorry, i just did not really care too much about brian he seemed so sweet but i just rolled my eyes at the whole thing, i felt like if the game wanted to have the whole idea of Delilah being guilty about brians death, have brian and his dad fall in or something not a whole conspiracy thing
im still confused as to why ned tried to manipulate Hen and D at all? if he wanted to be left alone and spy i figured he would just not fuck with them at all right? its true he might be stupid but i feel as though it was just plot for the sake of plot
and the ending, im sorry i understand it was thematic and bittersweet but i just did not like it, the whole game felt like it was buliding up too those two meeting and we got a stupid conspiracy plot that felt out of place that "ruined" the chances of them meeting, and the awkward goodbye like they will never see eachother again made me roll my eyes, i dont want them to be together romantically or anything like that, i just want them to stay..friends? again its just a me thing
But, i will say i still enjoyed the game, i probably wont replay it unless i do a video on it diving deeper into the story and my thoughts (let me know if anyones interested) but besides that 8/10 great game!

I am 26 looking to rp oc x oc (or double up and do 2 oc x ocs as well) I like to use actors as faceclaims but if you like animated we can! I do mxm for me but we can double and do anything for your side!! I move to discord normally and I do romance and slice of life mainly!!! All ocs will be 21+
Firewatch: muse a has had a rough few years since turning 22 (or older). So they decided to take a summer job away from everything. In a large national park called haven Cove, he works as the Southside watch tower ranger. He watches for ruckus, hazards, law breaking, and of course fires. Muse b is the north side worker who has worked here yesr round for a long time. They chat over walkie talkie and have to spend the summer alone yet semi together. (Original by Mercury The Witch inspired by the game "Firewatch")
This rp is for FUN so I dont know everything about the job but the game inspired me to rp. So yeah I do mxf or fxf too and all 4 ocs could work in different towers like north west east and south

How do I bypass the “not loading” glitch in the title screen? (ps5) only thing I haven’t tried is deleting the game and downloading it again. Will that delete my data or will it save it? (I also have PS+ if that matters) super frustrated cause I was at day 79 about to finish it for the first time.

I saw this game on switch, thought people would like it?! There are a few versions of this game, you walk around places , not just the forest but i dont think has a “main plot” like firewatch

I have it on ps4 But i thought of getting it on switch, is it still patchy/buggy? Or is it not worth it? Or is it?!

What happened to this studios next game? I've been excited for it since they teased it. Last thing I remember was that the studio banned pewdiepie from playing their next game on his channel for saying the n-word and it still isn't out.
The man went and started a family by the time the next game came out, we even got gta 6 before their next game even, like come on.

We've been working on a sci-fi narrative adventure game for 5+ years and we finally have a release date for it -- September 18! Arctic Awakening is a first-person narrative adventure set in the unforgiving Arctic. Your plane crashed in a storm, leaving only your court-mandated therapy bot for company as you journey to find your co-pilot and uncover the mysteries buried beneath the ice.
You can find out more info and wishlist at https://arcticawakening.com/. Happy to answer questions here as well!

I can’t really think of anything aside from red dead 2 that gave me new perspectives on my own life from a piece of media.
Are there any games like firewatch, that legitimately gave you that feeling? I had considered giving Edith finch a go, but I think the story of a guy escaping his life really hit me in firewatch and I’d love to play anything similar.

Two Forks Turtle Locations Map - High Res
I made this map some time ago.
If you're having trouble finding the turtle, set autosave off and occasionally save manually. Save and reload, then go search a possible turtle location. I think you'll find a turtle. Maybe on a different day.

so I missed Turt on day 2, its day three now and I have boarded up the window, Delilah is waiting for me to tell her to give me work. I have hiked out to both the lake and the Thorofare trail areas and he isnt there, did i miss the lil guy this playthrough?

Just finished the game. Loved it.
I truly escaped when playing it.
But I was suspicious of Delilah the entire time.
Consistently waiting for the proverbial shoe to drop.
For her to turn into the murderous creature she really is and reveal her true (evil) intentions.
I felt like she was trying to set me up the whole time (for what, I don't know, but I couldn't help but feel on edge). Any time she'd ask me to go check on something, I thought to myself: "OK, this is where you die."
Her banter was half-OK, half-insufferable (maybe it's an American thing? I'm British.)
I feel like she'd be a catfish in real life.
She definitely needs help. Absolute category-A psycho, there's no doubt about it.

For what it's worth I dont think being set in a national park and following a person with a somewhat troubled past is enough to make this movie similar enough to Firewatch for me to care, I think there are way more important aspects to the game than the place it is set in, but I just stumbled across this trailer and thought some people here might enjoy it.

Thorofare hike is PEAK this game has one of the most well made ost's of all time, each song represents the in game section and story SO well, we need more Chris Remo

I just finished it, I cried during the credits, I saw my images and then a few extras of maybe Ron/dave and Ned and his kid, I love this game, the ending made me kinda angry though, so many loose ends
