Fresh corn mash
Looking to do a fresh sweet corn mash and was wondering if anyone has just ground up the entire ears of corn (corn and the cob itself) and mashed it instead of just stripping the corn off the ears and grinding it up and throwing the cob away.
Thoughts or suggestions?

I did see a video of someone using a very good amount of fresh corn and the corn "milk" from the stripped cob (but not the cob itself) and putting that into a thumper for a 100% corn whiskey. I forget if they added any other liquid or spirit to the thumper, I watched the video a long time ago.
They said that it created a significant amount of fresh corn flavors that carried over into the final spirit. Seemed interesting to me, so I thought that I would pass it on.

Moonshiners - last season? Made my mouth water as I watched an episode on this 😆.

How about that? I haven't watched Moonshiners in years. Moonshiners is just fiction, it is just a soap opera. Although the Discovery Channel hasn’t publicly confirmed that when the Moonshiners writers develop episodes for their fictional docudrama they pull a lot directly from the broader home distilling community; although they dont confirm it, this is well established. So when I said I saw something on some video in my reply above, I meant on a real home distilling forum, like a YouTube channel, not a fake TV show. Not to be a jerk, just to clarify.

If you have a thumper I watched a yt video from still in the clear. They added a can of cream corn in the thumper along with a little bit of wash and produced a very flavorful distillate. I tried it out was blown out the water on how great it came out.
