💬Discussion The United Paradox - how is it possible?

Just finished watching Fulham v United. How can this same team that played well against Arsenal play like this v Fulham?

Is there something that I am completely missing while watching United games?

Funny Camera in ligue 2 Every replay is unwatchable

I know no one watches this league but today is a game in ligue 2 whete saint-etienne plays USB so USB vs ASSE the game starts and there is nasty glare that makes the game unwatchable for the 1st minute. Every replay that happens on the left side of the field is being flashbanged constantly. I don't have any footage as my service dosent give me replays

Edit: sunset so it only ruins the game for abt 15 minutes

📖Read Do players and managers have more pressure to perform week in week out in the Premier League compared to other leagues ?

Upvotes

There might be arguments on whether the Premier League is the best professional football league in the world, but it is definitely the most watched and talked about. Every game especially involving the traditional big 6 is heavily scrutinized and analysed week in week out by tacticos and trolls. Take for example the 007 gimmick. It's mostly done for PL players. There's is pressure to perform and win immediately which can even be argued has stagnated Manchester United's rebuild. As much as the limelight might be good for the overal league finances, it has exerted undue pressure on most players and managers and almost ruined a couple careers (Mc Tominay). It has also made some players dodge the PL ( Bellingham Brothers)

💬Discussion [ Romano ] Rúben Amorim confirms technical decision for Onana benched and Bayindir starting !

Rúben : "It's the kind of decision that the manager has to make! Jusr try to see the game, try to imagine the next game and try to put the best players to win the game, so I did that"

Got me thinking about the tactical reasoning behind it. Looking at their stats, both keepers have pretty similar save percentages (around 67%), but Bayındır seems to have better distribution numbers - especially with long balls at 44% accuracy compared to Onana's 13%. Maybe it's about fitting the system rather than pure shot-stopping ability?

Do you think this was just a tactical experiment or could Bayındır actually challenge for the #1 spot? And does anyone else feel like modern football values distribution over traditional goalkeeping skills more than it used to?

Why aren't more teams in for Wissa?

19 goals and 5 assists last season alone, and can play across the front 3 positions if not left wing and upfront

I haven't watched him closely but it's hard to not notice him often pop up with a goal

main negatives are that he's going to turn 29 and has afcon coming up, but his contract expires next summer so he should be relatively cheap

Obviously Newcastle are in for him, but still weird that he's not even seen as a good squad player for most teams
