That arc will always remain in my head for how brutally difficult it was shown to be. I don't have the best memory of how it ended but didn't we get left on a cliffhanger for it? I don't recall it ever being stated how that particular game was ended. I like to imagine the Italy aliens wiped the floor with everyone and went back to chilling without being bothered again.

The Italy aliens were legit stronger then the aliens that invaded during katastrophe

The invaders were a not thought out plot with lots of inconsistencies.

Remember the rescue team fought some aliens in some kind of TV show(those at least had the power of the Oni Boss), the invaders spawned aliens to destroy the yakuza hideout(people clearing Gantz at least 7 times)

The invaders were defeated offscreen with a bogus match between Kei and their hero.

My hope for Gantz E is that the Vampireplot and the Italyplot don't get dropped.

Oku read the negative feedback(they didn't want another 3 year mission) on twitter and other messageboards and axed the arc.

It's suggested Kei killed the boss then Gantz glitched. It was never resolved
