Lots of temples in Japan look just like this.

Kaminarimon has/had a fujin and raijin outside the gate. Todaiji also has em.

Can you share photos? In the fan translation of Gantz they noted that they could not identify a temple that looked like it in Japan. I myself have not been able to identify one either

They mightve replaced them? This is the statue they used to have at sensoji. It’s behind a fence to prevent vandalism.

It looks like there are a lot of wide shots of kaminarimon with differing statues.
