[Anime] I decided to rewatch the anime (mygod)
Hi! I don't know how to start his, so when I was 10 years old in 2017, I had found this anime out. Not because it was gory or pornography, but because people said "this anime has a bad animation". So I had forgotten this until my 15~, that I, for some reason, had remembered the anime. It was and still disgusting, but I did love the style, unlike Berserk. Then decided to read the manga, and I really like it. Gantz has made me love sci-fi stuff. Still thinking the story could be better.
In the past week I started to watch the anime again after 3 years. It was a terrible experience. 1st episode was OK, although animation being extremely cheap. Second one was... I can't remember. Kurono was running the whole episode like Scooby-Doo trying to kill a monster - slept the entire episode... and then I stopped watch it after this.
It's even worse than I remember, actually.
- Characters don't blend well
- Inconsistency
- Bad composition
- Powerpoint slides | there's a scene where they've set 4 keyframes in camera's position/rotation, while Katou was gently saying something out loud... even my machinimas in Minecraft were better than that.
- Models are low-poly even though extremely close. I thought I was playing a random Nintendo 64 game, cause that ground should be grass, but it's a plan with a grass texture without depth.
I need to know if there's a new anime of gantz is being produced, cuz it's a great manga. I love the suits, guns and company, but the 2004 version is a bullshit.
Huh I'm tired so this post may have a bad grammar

I'm going to disagree on the characters not blending well, specifically I thought Kishimoto and Tetsuo's characterizations were a big improvement over the manga, and other than Kurono being a much bigger perv in the anime I felt the other characters were true to the manga. I'm not gonna be too hard on the animation because this is far from the only anime I liked that had inconsistent at best animation, it's just something a fair amount of anime had from the 90s/early 2000s and even still to this day. The 2004 anime is how I first found out about Gantz, and no one could ever make me hate it lol

I mean 'blending' the characters in a 3D scene (I expect blend is the correct word). It's OK if it works, but I think didn't here. I don't hate it, sometimes it's just weird. I'm trying to avoid the story cuz I didn't pay attention in the episode 2/3, so I'm gonna watch them again. Btw I love the credits
Even though this, I'm glad there's an anime. The manga is hefty :)

I love gantz and i never watch gantz anime series. Like air gear.. The art of the manga is too good for mediocre anime of that time to replicate it. So i wont bother..

Gantz: O is cool even if it changes a few things about the Osaka arc.
it's one of the best 3D animations out there imo
