I'm planning on taking PHYS 2212 online over the summer to lighten my courseload for next year, but I'm also doing an internship, so I'll be clocking in 9-5 every weekday. I've heard PHYS 2212 is a pretty big time sink, so I wanted to ask-- is PHYS 2212 doable with this schedule (as in, would you recommend doing it along with employment)?. Also, how is the class structured-- are the exams synchronous, etc? (I've never taken an online class at GT before).

I took physics 2 last summer and I enjoyed it. I didn't have a good time in physics 1 so I was nervous taking physics 2 over the summer but it really wasn't that bad. Not sure if the structure is any different, but Behrens was the professor and he honestly is just there for office hours and answering ed stem posts. He's a pretty sweet prof and quite helpful if you attend his OH. All the lectures are Alecia's previously recorded lectures from another semester. In my opinion, that really helped me learn the material better since she's really great. Since everything is already posted, you can easily get ahead and learn the material earlier. I do think the tests end up being like, every two weeks or so because the timeline is quicker? But when I took the course, we logged onto a Teams call and the GTA would watch you as you took the test. It's doable with an internship if you're okay with sacrificing time on the weekends and in the evenings.

I learned all material pretty quickly before exam days. I don’t see a problem taking this one class with an internship.
