Fan Art This scene made me cry Spoiler
P.S. I am bad at drawing. But really wanted to portray this scene.
Btw my horse is Kage. What's yours?

The scene was so sad that horse was the true goat and by the way, nice drawing

I agree that horse was an absolute goat, even though it was a horse ha ha pretty sure it was probably a goat in disguise

Your understanding and portrayal of the line of action and posture of the horse is astounding! Keep drawing my friend, you’ve got a good eye for it :)

That drawing is awesome! And my horse is always a black horse named Kage then a white horse named Sora

I did the same thing but I picked a horse that looked identical to my other one. lightish brown color with the white nose strip. i used to say "rehab was supposed to be a fresh start" every time i called him over. Phrase will never be the same anymore 💔

Wait, the horse dies? I thought Garfield would be with me forever, the game literally said so.

Made me cry too. First open world action game to do so. The only other game that made me cry was Spiritfarer.

I noticed that if you bow in front of the grave, there's a small animation where the ashes swirl around Jin. Nice addition.

Love your style! I love how you interpreted the scene and how you gave brush-like textures to the piece. It gives the artwork a mythic feel like it was drawn into a scroll
Keep up the good work!

Fun fact. If you visit the resting place and bow, there’s an environmental reaction.
Rest well, old friend.

I really like your drawing, looks like it’s a memory. I was so sad when mine died.

Killing the protagonist's horse or mount is an unnecessary heartbreak tactic that should've stopped after RDR2. The only part of this marvelous game's story I hate with a passion. RIP Kage, you ride with the Kami now.

Same here. I had to stop the game for a day or two. Once I was able to get back into the game, I wanted to head back to that fort and KILL everyone at that fort.

As crude as the drawing is, we understand! Kage was my friend, even in my 2nd play through

Your drawing is fantastic.
It looks like something that you’d genuinely see as a painting or representing the tragedy of war.

the game has been out for 5 years at this point and you’re on the ghost of tsushima subreddit, what did you expect?
1
u/kalikid01 Jun 07 '25
Yup this subreddit already ruined a major plot twist for me. “ How were you guys able to beat ********?” Right in the damn title. I pretended to scroll by and forget the name of the surprising foe.

Why don’t I remember my horse dying?! I remember they gave me a new one when I had to infiltrate lord shimura’s castle. Am I missing something?
1
u/V555_dmc Jun 07 '25
You get the new one because the one you start the game with dies. Tbh I don’t remember exactly how

u/Craigyoung810 Jun 07 '25
If that made you cry you might have depression issues you should look into that

The thing is…I played the DLC(Iki) before going into the third part…In the boat part, I thought Kage(my horse)died…now he’s actually dead
