Due to phones not being invented yet, a messenger had to personally get the Ghostbusters. Jin didn't trust anyone but himself to deliver such an important message.

But what if he went into like a cave or something right after his parents died and he started getting swarmed by ghosts? Then he might become some kind of ghost-man later on in his adult life to scare all the criminals he would face

You know, never thought about The Ghost as a secret identity thing before. Honestly, would probably make Shimura's reaction to Jib being The Ghost worse.
