Jibril

Durability

Offensive magic

Maneuverability

Major changes: Only feats from the anime movie which I've listed here.

Minor Changes: No Heaven's strike since it basically drains her magic for years after she uses it according to the wiki and is therefore a one time attack that would render her unable to fight for the rest of Scramble

Okita Sougo

Role: Shaman

Series: Gintama

Bio: Okita Sougo is the 1st Division Captain of the Shinsengumi, and was a trainee at Kondou Isao's dojo in his youth. Later he went to the city with his fellow students and they founded the Shinsengumi - a police organization intending to protect the people of Edo. Sougo is a huge sadist and plays pranks on the people around him but he knows when to get serious and his heart lies in the right place, most of the time.

Medium: Katana

Research: Mini-RT

Justification: Being able to cut a car in two, his strength should be a match for Armstrong. He's a bullet-timer, although his durability is kind of iffy.

Major Changes: N/A

Minor Changes: N/A

After being told that he was chosen to be a Shaman, Sougo didn't give it much thought, he decided to just go to the coordinates at the specified time. He had some work there anyway. The graveyard. The masochistic ninja girl had paid some good money to be buried alive here with the sleeping Boss, so after he nailed her coffin shut and threw her down a dozen meter deep hole he went for the lone hill.

On top of the hill he found a muscular blonde man gazing at him with passion.

"Let us grind our bodies together in a passionate exchange and see if you are worthy of the title of Shaman, young man!" the man said boisterously.

"Sorry for the intrusion, I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere" Sougo excused himself and turned to leave.

"Wait, do you not want to try and land ten blows on me for a chance at becoming the Shaman King?" the muscular guy asked.

"Eh? But isn't Luffy the one who will become the Pirate King?" Sougo asked.

"No you misunderstand." the man held his arms up as if to stop Sougo.

"Nope, can't be, I mean he says it like every chapter. He'll definitely be Pirate King by the end, old man." Sougo explained to the stupid old man. If Luffy were here he'd definitely punch the geezer for doubting him.

"I agree." the guy said reluctantly. Then he closed his eyes and thought a little.

"I see." the man nodded. "It appears we got off on the wrong foot."

"I am Major Alex Louis Armstrong, the Strong Arm Alchemist, nice to meet you." Armstrong said as he flexed his muscles and pink sparkles appeared around him. "You must prove yourself in combat before me, in order to participate in the shaman tournament-"

Before he was finished talking, Sougo ran at Armstrong, katana drawn and slashed. Armstrong managed to jump back in time, avoiding any damage to his body.

"You work fast young one, perhaps too fast, one shouldn't hurry or-" the little piece of hair on his head fell, leaving his bald head to sparkle in the moonlight. Armstrong was alarmed. "What have you done, that style of hair has been passed down the Armstrong line for generations."

Sougo slung his katana over his shoulder, eyes closed, looking disappointed.

"You can hardly blame me old man. I severed the thread that had locked away your dignity. Now you can live proudly and accept who you are. You don't need to try and hide your baldness anymore." Sougo smiled a sweet smile as he addressed Armstrong. "Baldy."

"Prepare to be struck down by righteous fury, young man, for one does not so easily mess with tradition." Armstrong called as he hit his spiked fists together, then slammed them to the ground, transmuting it and several stone spikes started protruding from the ground, headed Sougo's way.

He sidestepped them, jumping aside from any new ones that threatened to skewer him as he moved closer and closer to Armstrong.

The alchemist crouched low, making a stone wall between he and Sougo. The samurai cut anyway and moved away as the parts of the wall turned into spikes that threatened to hit him as they flew through the air.

As Sougo dodged, the cut he'd made on the wall, that now looked like swiss cheese, due to all the spikes flying out of it, became obvious as the sliced part slid down, revealing Armstrong behind it. And much like the wall, most of his mustache, fell from his face.

"What have you turned me into?" Armstrong demanded to know.

"Well I was trying to turn you into those hip bald guys in American movies that say lines like "I'm too old for this." and what not, but you just refuse change, sticking to your old ways." Sougo complained as he leaned against his sword.

"I would have much preferred to stick to my old facial hair, but I must embrace the here and the now and commence with your test, for it is I who determines the future of the Shamans. And that is no light burden, even for one such as myself." Armstrong said as he posed, flexing his muscles, pink sparkles appearing around him.

"Let's go on with this old man, I've got a guy to kill back at the base."Sougo finally interrupted the man and took a stance.

"Whenever you're ready, young Shaman, come at me!" Armstrong said, hitting spiked fists against spiked fists, creating a spark.

Sougo swung his sword down at Armstrong, while the alchemist erected a wall from the ground. The sword hit the top of the wall, but didn't hold up and the tip of the blade broke of, spinning through the air. Both fighters followed the sword tip's movement, Sougo moving to the side of the wall, up until it reached Armstrong, below the abdominal area.

Both stared as a jet of blood spurted forth like a geyser from Armstrong's crotch and painted the wall in front of him red, until it stopped, leaving his pants, the ground and some of his jacket also soaked crimson.

"The genetics that have been passed down the Armstrong line for generations." he said, expression numb. "Gone."

"I really should be more careful how I swing this thing." Sougo nonchalantly said, looking over his sword.

"Boy," Armstrong stood proud despite the injuries to his very soul. "You have harmed me like no other. You have ended and entire line, an entire tradition, in one blow. I will not be angry at you for I asked you to come at me."

"Oh" Sougo was disappointed. Did that guy realize it was actually hot sauce and not blood.

Armstrong reached into his pocket and pulled out a weird looking wristwatch or something and gave it to Sougo.

"Here, this is an Oracle Bell. It will guide you in your upcoming battles." Armstrong gave him a salute to send him off, not showing any signs of phantom pain at the sight of all that 'blood'. Sougo bitterly took his watch thing and left.

Lapis Lazuli

Role: Spirit

Series: Steven Universe

Bio: Having her gem sealed away in a mirror for thousands of years, presumably during the war between the Homeworld Gems and Earth, Lapis was stuck only able to barely communicate through creating images in that very mirror. This lasted until she met Steven Universe, who freed her from the mirror. They became good friends but Lapis still chose to return to Homeworld. They treated her pretty bad there too and soon she was brought to Earth as a prisoner on an expedition mission which failed and resulted in her fusing with another gem to save her friends (for some reason she couldn't just fight) by imprisoning them both at the bottom of the ocean. She was freed, lived in a barn for a while and her loyalties now lie with Earth and her friends, the Crystal Gems.

Medium: A mirror

Research: Lapis RT and Malachite RT

Justification: Surviving a giant explosion should be enough to take some blows from Armstrong and not get popped. Her water constructs are pretty strong taking into account Malachite's feats in that regard. Speed is equalized.

Major Changes: Her fusion, Malachite's, Hydrokinesis feats are added on to her own

Minor Changes: N/A

Floating around in space was boring. Boring and white. It was like floating through a white sheet of paper with no idea of what was up, down, sideways etcetera. She could be plummeting straight down for all she knew.

She wished Steven were here at least. He'd just point at patches of white and tell them what they were, like when he'd showed her those 'cities'. They all looked the same to her. Or better yet Peridot. She'd do something stupid and Lapis would be entertained by it.

"You there. The alien in blue!" a voice called from behind. She rotated her body, flapping her water wings to do so and indeed she found herself facing some very muscular legs packed in some very tight pants.

Was that how earthlings made those sausage thingies, using live muscular humans? How cruel. What a fate. Still not as bad as being trapped in a mirror, but she could sympathize with it.

Lapis looked down at the man's face and flapped her wings again, righting herself. She had been plummeting straight down. Like in life like in death, was she right or was she right?

"Hello are you some kind of important person?" she asked the man. He was dressed in a nice suit. Maybe he was one of those lawyers from TV. "Maybe a lawyer, or a manager. I'd like to file a complaint to this afterlife. My planet doesn't preach such stuff. You shattered, you dead, you gone."

The man shook his head

"I am Senator Armstrong. I'm sorry, I'm just a representative. You'll have to take your complaint to the Great Spirit yourself." the man said. Then he smiled. "Or better yet, become one with the Great Spirit."

"I'm Lapis Lazuli. Just the complaint please, I have some very bad Fusion related memories." Lapis said. "So can you take me to this Great Spirit."

"I am afraid, I am a man with limits," he paused. "Or rather I was a man of limits, but sadly a man crushed my heart and now I am here." he sighed "At least I am helping strong willed people live on freely, I wouldn't be doing this otherwise."

He stared Lapis in the eyes.

"Only one person can take you to the Great Spirit. And that's your Shaman. And if you get to reach the Great Spirit, you can do a lot more than complain." he snapped his fingers and pointed down. There was a flat plane that was never there before and on it were two men, facing each other. One looked very confused, the other one also looked very confused but was also meditating. From what she remembered from the hours upon hours of Steven telling her about his friends, with pictures, PowerPoint presentations, DNA samples and everything. The one looking nervous was Lars and the one looking nervous and fake meditating was Ronaldo.

"I purposely chose weak fools to teach you how you should give those weak ones below us guidance in order to reach your goal. I trust you know how to possess them and if not then." he descended down and both teens appeared to notice him, one looked in fear and the other in recognition and fear. "Watch" he said and her descended upon Lars - or was it Ronaldo, forget it! - descended upon the skinny donut eared guy and gradually lost transparency.

Skinny guy looked up at her with a smile, moving his hand as if to adjust his glasses but stopping halfway.

"Come down here and let's tussle" he said in Armstrong's voice, hitting his fists against one another and for a brief second it was as if they were covered with some sort of black substance.

Music started playing from the fat one's phone. From Lars's phone. No, no no. That wasn't his name. No, no. Yes?

"Heh." the guy actually had glasses to adjust and did just that. Why didn't Armstrong pick him. Then she found herself shifting into a smoky substance as she was drawn towards the teen's outstretched palm. Ah. So that's why.

"Spirit form." he called in a cool voice. Then he dramatically thrust the spirit ball that was Lapis into himself and called the name of the act "Unity!"

Lapis stood and crossed her, or rather the kid's arms. She could feel the ground and all. It was nice having a body.

Oh her body was charging straight at that Armstrong guy with an unnecessarily loud yell. Guess she wasn't good at controlling him as she thought. Whatever, she only needed him in order to use her water, if he damaged his body being too reckless he'd just fix it right? Just like gems did.

Armstrong crossed the distance and slammed the teen in the stomach, sending him flying back. His body, his problem.

Lapis sent a pair of water hands after Armstrong. He dodged the first one and jumped over the second one, both of them splashing behind him, doing no harm. Then once he was close enough he slammed a fist into the teen's head, smashing his head against the ground.

Lapis summoned a wave to push Armstrong away and create some distance and he jumped back. Then she made a water fist and it, lost its form. What?

"Guh!" the teen whose body she was occupying coughed. Then coughed again louder. Then even louder. "Huh it's harder to cough up blood irl, who knew? Anyway, Lapis Lazuli. I am sorry I have failed you, but my current form, it can not match up to his speed and power. Losing consciousness. I have failed you."

"Form, you say." Lapis trailed off as she though of some shows she'd watched with Peridot. She'd always ended up sleeping halfway through but.

Water covered the teen's body, then it hardened into a sphere of ice. Then that sphere burst revealing the armored new form of her body. Complete with full armor, wings and a tail, all made out of ice, along with a helmet with a visor. The teen was even playing some music on his phone.

"Now with my new form, you cannot touch me, Armstrong! I have grown times stronger than before." the teen yelled and he tried to take a step forward, which led to the ice armor becoming unbalanced and toppling over, visor first.

"Um Lapis Lazuli-sempai, there seems to be a problem, I can't move." the teen said as he lay on the ground motionless.

Lapis, personally didn't see any problems. The kid looked cool and couldn't hurt himself anymore, leaving Lapis free to use her water manipulation to fight Armstrong. Humans, who could understand them?

Such thoughts went through her mind as her oversized ice fists clashed with Armstrong's armored ones.

"See," Armstrong said as he broke though a water construct of a fist. "See what damage the weak do to this world!" he ran forward, destroying constructs with his body's momentum. "You waste valuable resources protecting him, wheres if there were only strong people everyone would protect themselves." He ran at a dozen water hands shouder first, making them lose their form and come down as rain. The rain took the form of chains that went to bind him.

"Yup." Lapis agreed, speaking through the teen's mouth.

"Then you agree with me!" he called with vigor, ripping free from the dozens of ice bindings. "My hands are tied up here, but you can untie them, be my right arm down on there, as an alien surely you understand sacrifices have to be made."

Armstrong charged straight at Lapis' body, preparing his fist to strike.

"Then prove your strength and become my agent!"

"Nah" Lapis said. Wave after wave of giant water hands crashed into Armstrong, each hardening into ice, turning into layer after layer of ice prison. Finally, when there was no more water Lapis stopped and looked at her creation - a prison of hands.

"Wah!" the teen cried. "It is like every single weak person that has suffered because of him has united and one hand at the time they defeated him, because if they are weak individually, they are strong together."

Yeah, Lapis just thought of it at the moment and did it because it looked cool and effective. Lapis left his body and looke down at him.

"Sure." she nodded. "Totally what I meant by that." and then she plummeted down again. Like she always did.

Crocodile

Role: Spirit

Series: One Piece

Bio:

Medium: Sand Clock or Pirate Hook

Research: Respect Thread

Justification: Crocodile briefly clashed with the likes of Doflamingo, he takes strikes from pre-Gears Luffy, survives an attack that wrecks a city block and his speed is equalized.

Major Changes: No Logia intangibility

Minor Changes: N/A

u/glowing_nipples Jan 19 '19 edited Jan 19 '19

Analysis VS Armstrong: Since he can't use his Manual Dehydration direcly on Armstrong due to his armor, he'd probably resort to using it on the ground in order to turn it into sand which is favorable for him. That way he can cause sandstorms and use his other sand based attacks in conjunction with his physical strength. His durability isn't the best but having the same speed as his opponent will help him. Crocodile might have a slight advantage in strength but he lags behind in durability. I'll give him 4/10 against Armstrong.

Biggest Strength/Weakness: Crocodile is the kind of guy who sneers at trusting others, but he can at least cooperate with others when it suits his interest. Another weakness is that he, for a long time, lived in the Paradise section of the Grand Line, avoiding combat with people who can touch him, though he seems to have gotten over this. As for his biggest strength, that's his Devil Fruit. Others in the tournament are unlikely to know a Devil Fruit user's weakness to the sea and along with his Manual Dehydration he can be a scary foe to face when there's no water around.

Character In Setting/With Team: Crocodile will see his Shaman as nothing but a tool to use to reach his goals, without really trusting them at all. But he is somewhat loyal and will go along with whatever the plan is, even going out of his way to save his teammate's other friends and allies on a pretext that he doesn't want the enemy to feel victorious. He can work with others rather well, as proven by the fact that he was the leader of a criminal organization, but he can get annoyed pretty easily. He'd see Scramble as an opportunity to reach his goals.

Motivation: His goal in Alabasta was to find the Ancient weapon Pluton which was hidden there. He values military power. Along with that he wanted revenge against Whitebeard who gave him a humiliating defeat back when he was in the New World.

Mr. 2 Bon Kurei

Role: Shaman

Series: One Piece

Bio: A rather flamboyant crossdresser, Mr. 2 Bon Kurei was originally an agent of Baroque Works, a secret organization headed by Crocodile that sought to uncover the ancient weapon Pluton and conquer the Kingdom of Alabasta. As his title would imply, he was one of the strongest agents, behind only Mr 1 and his partner, Crocodile, and Robin. His part of the final mission was to impersonate the King of Alabasta and agitate the Rebels in order to spur the civil war into action. While he was successful in this regard, he later failed in his next mission to take down Sanji and the other Strawhats who were helping Princess Vivi. After this he aided the Strawhats in escaping the Marines, due to the friendship he made with them earlier, before he realized they were his enemies.

Taken to Impel Down along with other Baroque Works agents, he would later again find himself helping Luffy, who was breaking into Impel Down in order to free his brother. His efforts and actions were among the most important to not only helping Luffy's mission, but also saving Luffy's life. He would ultimately sacrifice himself again in order to let Luffy, Crocodile, Ivankov and others escape from the world's greatest prison.

Medium: Swan-themed Wing Decorations (like the ones he wears in Alabasta)

Research: Respect Thread

Justification: No scaling, he has some good speed and durability that can match Armstrong's. And although most of his speed is scaling he can unleash some reasonably fast attacks

Major Changes: No Scaling

Minor Changes: N/A

1

u/glowing_nipples Jan 19 '19 edited Jan 19 '19

Analysis VS Armstrong: Mr. 2's strength is as good as or a little better than Armstrong's. His durability, endurance and willpower are a match for Armstrong's and his weapons, the swan heads increase his range and concentrate his attacks into a single point. He lacks behind in speed. Considering all that I'd give him a 3/10 against Armstrong.

Biggest Strength/Weakness: His biggest strength is his love for his friends and his willingness to sacrifice himself for them. He can accomplish insane feats as long as it's for the purpose of helping them. His biggest weakness is his love for his friends, which often leads to him sacrificing himself for them. Though everything often turns out for the better.

Character In Setting/With Team: Although he worked with a criminal organization for some time, Bon Kurei is good at heart and will get along with other good people he considers friends. He'd likely enjoy the opportunity offered by Scramble to become Shaman King and he's used to traveling to weird places for work, being that he worked in the Grand Line, so the setting would be just back to business for him. He is very good at inspiring others.

Motivation: Helping his friends.

Morgiana is a fanalis, a race of extremely powerful humans native to the Dark Continent. Luckily during an excursion to a dungeon she was freed from her chains by fellow slave Goltas as well as Aladdin and Alibaba. Feeling indebted two the latter two, she traveled with them across the world, trying to constantly get stronger in order to be of use to and protect them. Morgiana comes across a rather stoic, but is nonetheless a very kindhearted girl who is willing to do anything to help and protect her friends and those in need.

His wife and unborn son murdered by his officer before his eyes, his trust in the peacekeepers ruined, his thought-to-be-lifeless body was sent in a funerary pod into space...

Where it landed on a dead planet, inhabited only by an alien weaponer named Salomon. The alien says he nursed Bach back to life, and tells him what happened to the planet. There was a long war, and Saloman was bred to be the ultimate weapons designer. He built bombs more powerful than anything his people had ever seen, ending the war in a day... and destroying all other life on the planet in the process. It left his world a planet of ghosts.

Thaddeus stayed with Salomon in exile for over a year, before deciding to get the justice he wanted so badly. Taking a ship, and a pair of powerful energy bands that Salomon created, Thaddeus Bach truly died. And in his place, rose Space Ghost.

In a certain plane high in the sky, powered by powers yet to be explained, among the many passengers, some chatting excitedly, some brooding by themselves, all excited to some extent and all with a free seat next to them, sat a young red haired girl.

Not really the talkative sort she was hesitant to approach the others, but the adventurous feeling in her gut wouldn't let her go to sleep either. She looked out the window next to her. Even she had to admit that they were pretty high up, neither Alladin nor she had ever felt the need to go this high, well they had but they'd started feeling pretty light headed. It was rather beautiful outside.

Morgiana wished she could be with her friends, but she also knew this was necessary. It was an opportunity to get stronger and help those two not only in their emotional turmoil but on the battlefield also. To conquer this tournament is to be granted great power.

She couldn't afford to lose.

Some time later a lady with a black skirt and white shirt approached her, pushing a cart in front of her.

The passenger turned to face the woman.

The woman chuckled as she saw the passenger's face.

"Aw, what a sweet young girl. She looks so determined. " the stewardess thought as she gave Morgiana a fond smile, presenting a small transparent packet of peanuts in both hands. "Want some peanuts?"

"Sure, thanks." she took the offered package and carefully inspected it like she'd never seen anything like it before. Right as the stewardess was leaning down to help her the passenger threw the whole package in her mouth and started chewing. One cheek bulged and her jaw went up and down. She changed the cheek and started alternating the packet between both of them with a curious expression.

"Oh God that's probably not washed, oh God she's chewing on plastic, oh God I should've helped her, now she's gonna spit it out and scream my head off, oh God." despite her dark thoughts the stewardess kept her pleasant smile, though a bead of sweat was forming on the side of her face.

The girl watched her carefully as she chewed.

"Um miss, I'm terribly sorry for not telling you this sooner but that's not how," "It's good." the girl cut her off, making the stewardess exclaim in confusion. "Huh?"

The girl looked to the side and swallowed everything.

"I want another." she turned to the woman and gave her a creepy smile.

The stewardess quickly composed herself and quickly went through the familiar motion of reaching for the tray and picking out some fine peanuts. She handed the passenger her peanuts and stood there, paralyzed from shock and fear.

"I will eat it later." the girl said, snapping the stewardess out of her stupor. She'd been staring, did she offend her in some way. Oh God. Oh God.

"I see." the stewardess quickly spat out and sprinted forward, pushing her cart forward at highway speeds away from the girl that could probably kill her with a single punch. And on her way to another passenger, who could also probably kill her with a single punch. Why'd she have to take this job where the only advice they gave her was not to upset the passengers. No wonder the money was so good. The gig was shady as hell.

Oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God.

And so the stewardess ran forward.

Gross. How could people eat such things.

Morgiana had disposed of that thing she'd swallowed like one would dispose of poison they'd swallowed. Currently she was in one of those bathrooms they had on the flying magical item. She was crouching on her knees over the toilet as she was still dry heaving from time.

She wiped her lower lip with her wrist and went for the sink. She put her hands under it and it started producing water. How could they cram so many magical items inside of a magical item was beyond her.

At first she thought it was some sort of soft transparent pastry, but she couldn't properly chew through the disgusting upper layer no matter how much she chewed. She wanted to spit it out but then that woman, looked really worried and Morgiana didn't want to offend her. So she swallowed.

Her throat was still sore. Then she'd given the lady the best smile she could muster and asked for more as was common courtesy when you liked something.

Although she had probably realized Morgiana didn't like them when she didn't start on the second helping. She probably offended the poor woman by not liking her household's cooking. But she'd apologize the first opportunity she got. That was a promise!

With her new resolve and with something to occupy her during the flight, looking for the woman with the tray, Morgiana exited the bathroom and sat in her seat with a newfound determination.

Clicks, clicks and sounds of excitement filled the plane as people opened these suitcases they were given by the women dressed in black and white. Spirits popped out from items inside and greeted their Shamans.

Morgiana sat, with her knees on her seat, her arms propped against the back of her seat in a rather childish fashion as she watched the scene before her. Were these Spirits like Djinns. Would everyone here including her become Metal Vessel Users. The thought of such power in such quantity made her head spin, yet excited her. For the first time she would be fighting such strong people alone. It was scary, but also a chance to prove herself.

When her turn to receive a briefcase came, she couldn't hold herself back, she quickly took it and pulled it close. Without even considering the careful squinting she'd been doing to see how the others opened their beforehand, she broke the suitcase in two over her knee and let the contents spill over her lap.

It was cloth.

A garment of some sort.

Quite different from any she had seen until now.

She scanned the garment, stretching it, feeling the material. Along with the costume there was a headpiece, a mask. She looked left and right. Nobody was watching. She put the mask on. So cool.

Alibaba would probably compliment her and tell her she looked awesome.

No. She had to stay focused.

Morgiana pushed her cheeks. She took off the mask and thought.

"What can I do to get the Spirit out?" she thought aloud.

"Do you see the emblem on the chest part of the suit?" somebody next to her said. She checked the suit and eventually found and emblem that looked like the mask she'd worn earlier. "Yeah." she answered.

"Press the emblem and check if the connection is good. Something like: "Space Ghost. Do you read me, Space Ghost? Come in, Space Ghost." should do."

"So his name is Space Ghost." Morgiana nodded and pressed the button.

"Space Ghost. Do you like to read, Space Ghost? Come inside Space Ghost, it's cold outside this high up, you'll catch a fever." she said, though she didn't know what reading had to do with anything.

"Hear you loud and clear, Shaman." both the voice from the emblem and the voice beside her said. She turned to the side, towards the man sitting on the chair beside her, wearing the same outfit she had in her hands. He met her eyes and gave her a smile. "Though I'm already here. Mask fits you like a charm."

Morgiana turned to the side, embarrassed, and poked her cheek with her index finger.

"Joking, joking." he said, causing Morgiana to turn back. Space Ghost met her determined eyes and she met his ghostly white eyes, hidden behind his mask. "Though the jokes end here, I'm afraid. At least for now."

She felt it. A power similar to that of a Djinn. This man. This Space Ghost, was no ordinary person. As a fellow combatant she could feel it with her intuition, in his posture, in his eyes. This man was at a level similar to a Metal Vessel User. If she had to face him she would lose.

He probably saw the alarm in her eyes as the next thing he did was pass his hand through the seat in front of him. It offered no resistance. A ghost, no, a Spirit he was indeed. He watched his hand for some time before retracting it.

"As you can see, I am in no position to harm you in this form, for better or for worse I am now a Spirit who has died twice." he turned his head to face her. "At least I cannot hurt you indirectly, but be wary, should I not offer my help to you, you will most likely die in combat in this competition."

Morgiana's eyes sharpened. This man was testing her. She was gonna pass at all cost.

"What will it take," Morgiana asked without hesitation "For you to lend me your strength during the upcoming competition?"

"One question." the man answered without skipping a beat.

"Like a riddle?" Morgiana asked. This was bad.

"No." the man shook his head. This was good.

"I want you to tell me, Shaman, what will you do if you win the title of Shaman King?" Space Ghost asked, eyes steady, focused on her, piercing through her to find the truth.

"That's simple, I," Morgiana stopped herself. She had spoken without really thinking. The Spirit's mask shifted, as if he were lifting an eyebrow.

"What will you use your wish, your power for. Will you become corrupt, judging others as you see fit? Become a madman rampagin around the universe with her powerful weapons and wishes of conquest? What do you want my power for, Shaman?"

"I," Morgiana hesitated. She looked down. She knew what was right. She knew what she wanted. But was that really what this Space Ghost wanted to hear? Was he not like a Djinn? Attracted to rulers. Giving them strength in hopes they will one day become kind. Will he he reject her when he finds out she has no such wishes, that she was no great leader of people?

"I will," She started again, but hesitated. Her wish was noble, so what if she was rejected? If this Spirit was for her he would realize the good of her wish, if he was good he would make her his Shaman. Morgiana would bet on this Space Ghost's goodness of heart.

u/glowing_nipples Feb 17 '19

"I will help my friends." Morgiana said with conviction, meeting her Spirit's eyes. "I wish for them to succeed in their quest to stop Al-Thamen and do good in this world and I will be their support in doing so."

She did not waver even as his white eyes continued to probe hers.

Finally he conceded. Space Ghost reached out a hand with a warm smile.

"Thaddeus Bach" he said as she took his hand and shook. Good thing Spirits and Shamans could apparently intereact with each other. Morgiana would feel pretty uneasy passing through him, she shuddered just thinking about it.

"But please call me Space Ghost. The man behind that name died long ago." he said and Morgiana nodded.

"I'm Morgiana, but," she looked down and pouted.

"My friends call me Mor" she forced that out. Her feet shifted under her. "If you want to be my friend."

"Nice to meet you Mor." she smiled as he called her that, though she couldn't meet his eyes yet. She was still kind of embarrased. She wasn't good with people like those two.

"Say, how about I try some of those peanuts?" Space Ghost said in a mock thoughtful like manner. "It wouldn't be a flight without them."

Morgiana grabbed the peanut bag she'd placed on her seat next to her thigh, looked around for the lady in the black skirt who had given them to her, making sure she didn't see her handing them off to some other person and after confirming she wasn't anywhere in sight, she dropped them in Space Ghost's awaiting palm, or more accurately through his palm. The packet fell on the seat he was resting on.

They both watched the packet impassively.

"Mor," Space Ghost addressed her. "Have you heard of possession?"

"So I have to scream it out?"

"Yes."

"And make a cool pose?"

"That part's crucial from what I've heard."

"I see."

Morgiana stood in the passageway between the seat, arms crossed, processing the information she was given. Some Shamans and Spirits watched her with a measure of interest, but most were minding their own business.

"Okay, Space Ghost." she called out as she held her arm outstretched. The Spirit that was next to her dissolved into a wispy black substance, gathering in front of the palm of her hand until it took a the crude form of a face. It was similar to the face on the emblem she'd used to communicate with Space Ghost earlier.

Morgiana widened her stance and lifted her arm high up, the mystical energy from the Spirit in her hand bending the light around her in unusual ways.

Then swiftly she thrust the spirit into her stomach. Energy swirled around that point until the spirit was gone. Morgiana's stance shifted ever so slightly.

Her body, she couldn't move it. She could feel with it, hear with it, see with it, but she couldn't control it. Like a prisoner. Like she was inside a cage.

She forgot how to speak. How to think. She was a prisoner in a cage again. She was trapped again, in her body this time.

Scary, scary.

They'd beat her, force her to beat others again.

No.

She was a slave again.

No.

She was helpless again.

No.

She was alone again.

No.

Her body reached for the peanuts that were on her seat.

As its gaze was focused down she saw the gauntlets on her feet. While they were once shackles that bound her, now they were symbols of her freedom.

Her hands ripped the bag open, making the contents inside available. Wait that was a bag? It wasn't part of the meal? Huh, no wonder she thought it tasted bad.

Wait a minute. She was starting to think clearly again!

"Mor, you okay in there, you know I can hear you if you want to speak to me while I'm possessing you?" she heard Space Ghost's voice inside her mind, their mind? No, her mind.

Get out.

"Get out." she spoke with her mouth, wrestling it by force. She felt her eyebrows rise. Space Ghost was shocked.

My will is mine alone.

"My will is mine alone." she stomped with her own foot under her own will. Space Ghost immediately left before she could kick him out.

Morgiana stumbled and sat on her seat.

Space Ghost said something but she was too busy staring blankly at the back of the seat in front of her to hear him.

Ugh. What foolishness he had shown.

In an attempt to bond with his Shaman he had attempted to ease her into the fighting aspect of this tournament while keeping things light, but he had ended up reminding her of a traumatic experience.

Still, it was not like he had not dealt with troubled young people before. He was the adoptive father of two teens.

Mor hadn't responded to his apology. He'd wait until she was ready to speak and then he'd show her as much compassion as he could muster.

Space Ghost sat in his seat next to his Shaman and waited patiently.

Soon she looked at him with her usual emotionless stare.

"I'm sorry."

That caught Space Ghost off guard. This was the second time today she'd done that.

"Excuse me, I should be the one apologizing, I didn't consider," "No." she cut him off. Her impassive eyes stared into his. "I'm the one who let my past get the better of me. I'm over it."

"I wanted to appologi-" "Wanna peanut?" she asked him, holding up the now open bag of peanuts. She wanted him to posses her. Thinking through it they had to do it sometime. It was their only way to fight. She probably couldn't do an Oversoul with their current level of skill.

It was obvious Morgiana had some background in either slavery or mind control, and to let someone else control her body for the sake of a peanut. She was a nice girl.

So he possessed her again. Space Ghost took a peanut from the bag as fast as he could and ate. Once he swallowed he left immediately.

Outside her body, he found Mor staring impassively again. This wasn't easy on her.

After a few seconds she turned towards him. Staring impassively at him she said to him:

"Peanuts taste good." and then she proceeded to pour the remaining peanuts in the bag into her mouth like they were a drink.

Space Ghost was amused at the display.

He watched as she raised a hand to catch a stewardess's eye and ordered a dozen packets of peanuts. As she was stuffing her mouth, she suddenly turned to him and asked:

"Do you want one?" she had her arm out, holding an open bag of peanuts in his direction.

"One's more than enough." Space Ghost smiled. Then he decided to tell a tale "These peanuts remind me of the Creature King and the numerous beasts he had to capture and feed..."

And so the two of them talked about Space Ghost's space adventures in space. Until Morgiana's throat dried from all the peanuts and she called for some wine to quench her thirst.

Space Ghost was quick to ask her age and replace her order with grape juice after he found it out.

That resulted in talks about Morgiana's homeland and the different adventures and misadventures she had there.

And that's how Shaman and Spirit bonded over peanuts and grape juice.

Suddenly Morgiana heard a loud voice coming from a mysterious location.

“Everyone, thank you for enduring this flight. We are currently 40,000 ft above US land. The Village of the Patch Tribe is 900 km away. As of now, everyone please get there by yourself. We will only wait for 1 month. We will not tell any of you how to get there. The first round of the Shaman Fight is beginning. The object of the round is to arrive at the Patch Village within 1 month. Please hold onto your things, once this message is over, we ten tribesmen will disappear as will the plane over soul you are currently in. Prepare yourselves, we look forward to seeing you at the Village.”

She was quick to grab the half of the briefcase she'd stuffed the suit in before the plane disappeared before her eyes. Instead of the seat in front of her she now faced he back of the person in front of her.

"Put the Power Bands on. Quick!" is what she heard before she started falling towards the ground at rapidly increasing speeds.

She looked up. There were a few people keeping their composure. A man dressed in red was somehow levitating in midair with his arms crossed and seemed to be laughing heartily though she couldn't hear due to the winds rushing around her. She wondered if he would help others.

Similarly a young girl with one arm and wooden sandals didn't seem too worried by the fall. It was like she knew she would not be hurt by it.

It would use up some Magoi, but if she made her wings of fire she could fly similarly to the man in red.

She poured some Magoi into the gauntlets on her feet and chains shot out of them on either side of her. Morgiana realized she couldn't do anything else. Using any more Magoi would make her lose consciousness.

What?

She'd been sitting for so long. Why did she have so little energy?

The ones above her were finding themselves in a similar predicament.

The girl without an arm was currenlty wearing less revealing clothes and now she didn't have wooden shoes. She was also starting to panic.

The man in red was now falling same as anyone and seemed to be cursing the heavens' for his fate.

Whatever.

If she was careful in how she landed with her powerful legs backing her she probably wouldn't break anything.

It would be harder if she tried to save others but she could pull it off.

Then her bones started to hurt. It was the first time experiencing something like this. Every single point in her body hurt. This was not a simple injury. Was this magic? Poison?

One thing was for sure. If she landed like this, the shock from the pain would probably kill her. She looked around her, the people around seemed to be experiencing similar pain.

If they didn't do anything they would die.

What could she do in a situation like this. Somehow she had to make a fire, if she used it to power her Household Vessel even for a tiny bit she would live, but what of the others, and how could she make a flame.

Something caught Morgiana's attention as she fell.

Among all the fear and confusion a single figure stood tall, ghostly as she might be she was more solid than most living people.

A heal clicked as she moved forward to a better spot.

"Weakness is strength! Strength is weakness! Dependence is freedom! These are the facts of this tournament and you will all surrender to them! You pigs in human clothing!" the woman yelled.

She soared mightily through the air, sword propped against the back of her ride. She was standing on the back of a young man, who was wearing a very revealing white and blue suit that seemed to be some sort of Djinn equip. He appeared to be wearing a kind of skirt and from the skirt a blue fire blasted, which propelled him forward.

Despite the harsh delivery Morgiana and several others appeared to get it. In order to win she had to accept her weakness and depend on her spirit.

What had Space Ghost said. Power Bands? She checked through the half suitcase and found some gauntlets with some weird buttons on them. That was probably it. She put them on.

Not knowing which to press she followed her instinct and picked a button.

"Mor told me of her ability to fly, but for some reason she's not using it. She only called forth her chains. What could be causing her to use her magic halfway." Space Ghost wondered aloud as he hovered beside his falling partner who could not hear him.

A sudden memory flashed through his mind.

"That's it! The juice!" he remembered, there was a strange label on the bottle he'd seen when the stewardess was pouring Mor mor juice.

"I've got to remember." there was a strain in his voice. He put his index and middle finger to his temple and pushed, hoping it would jolt his memory in some way.

"That's it!" it finally came to him.

"On the juice label were the words "Magoi draining juice + Bone hurting juice"" Space Ghost called as the image of the bottle became clear in his mind. "Mor has been drugged, as have been all the other competitors. Like this they have no choice but to rely on their Spirits. And whoever can't will kiss the tournament and their life goodbye. Teamwork is good but you shouldn't have to risk your life to build it." Space Ghost said angrily as he glared up at where the plane had been.

"I wonder how Mor is doing?" Space Ghost said and looked at the direction of his Shaman. He was shocked as he saw her, beams periodically firing out of her hands and hitting the ground, making her jump around like she was riding a needlessly big pogo stick.

"Oh no I've forgotten to teach Mor about how the Power Bands work and she's activated the Piledrive Ray by accident. If she keeps at it like that she'll run out of energy and then I'll have no way to help her. I must stop this dangerous circus performance!" Space Ghost called and he flew towards Mor. Suddenly a voice from above caught his attention.

"Ah, I suppose I could use my Spirit in a creative way, but I can't be bothered. I'll just use it like a Stand and let it take the fall. Do your best Tie-in-breastpocket-kun." a young man was sitting on a Spirit's back, sword resting against his shoulder, as they fell. However, the thing Space Ghost noticed was that the Spirit seemed to be having an effect on the physical world. Looking closely, Space Ghost saw that the spirit was bonded to the sword.

"An Oversoul. On his first try. Impressive. Just like that 'pigs in human clothing' woman from earlier." Space Ghost commented as he watched the duo.

"It? Are you referring to me as an object when you want me to save your life. At least remember my name!" the Spirit seemed to be displeased with the current arrangement.

"Shut up. Talking Stands are annoying. The only thing I wanna hear from you is 'ora ora' or 'muda muda'." Okita Sougo, if Space Ghost wasn't mistaken, said.

"If you're gonna treat me like that I should just drop you! Ungrateful brat!"

"Oi, if you do that you'll end up hurting the poor girl here too." Sougo said with a devious smile.

"Huh?" Space Ghost said.

"Huh?" the other Spirit was equally confused.

They both looked and hanging from Sougo's sword by a chain was a very dizzy Mor, tied up with her own chains in a depraved pose.

"Why you!" Space Ghost cried in anger from afar, prepared to charge in.

"Oi," the man seemed to be staring right at Space Ghost as he said this despite speaking to his Spirit. He flashed a sadistic smile. "The girl is tied to me by a chain. If I get to the ground unharmed, so will she."

Space Ghost stopped. Despite his villainous act he could tell. This man was a good man. He did this with the intention to help. He would preserve his energy for now, until Mor was safely on the ground.

Then something unexpected happened.

The Oversoul flickered, the Spirit Mor and Sougo were being supported by disappeared. Similar things happened around them. People helping others found themselves losing energy and faltering.

"Haha," Sougo and Space Ghost turned in the direction of the laugh. It was less of an evil laugh and more the laugh of somebody enjoying something funny. The sound seemed to be coming from the direction of a young girl encased in a familiar black, armor-like substance "I see the system is working nicely." a voice he'd heard recently said.

"Armstrong!" Space Ghost called in contained fury. "What is this about?"

The Spririt showed himself, materializing above the falling girl who seemed to be his Shaman. She probably couldn't hear their conversation due to the wind.

"Nanomachines." Armstrong smiled. "I made a deal with the organizers of this competition. Instead of just being a mere punching bag, I decided to give them information on nanomachines, in exchange for competing. Through various means, all Shamans now have them in their bloodstream.

"The guys on top can mess up their spiritual connection at will to prevent such childish displays of affection. This competition is to weed out the weak, not for the strong to carry the weak! Now let's see how much guts, your Shaman has, literally or figuratively, we'll see which turns out the be the outcome!" Armstrong smiled smugly and disappeared.

"Armstrong!" Space Ghost cursed.

"Ah, I hate this wind, I couldn't hear that guy's lame villainous monologue." Sougo commented impassively and Space Ghost turned to face him. He looked to be having trouble holding the struggling Mor.

"Hey hero man." Sougo threw Mor's chain and it passed right through Space Ghost's hand. "I leave her to you. Treat her badly and don't give her dinner, make her beg for it."

And as if that was his cue, Sougo reactivated his Oversoul and continued his descent.

"So sadistic." Space Ghost couldn't help but think, though he didn't allow himself more time to dwell on it as he descended to meet up with Mor.

She was already hard at work, pressing another random button in the hopes of salvation.

Mor managed to hit the Freeze Ray, a useful tool, but her lack of experience was evident. She tried to create an ice slide with an 'u' shape that would have you falling, sliding and being launched up, until the air resistance took away most of your momentum or until the effects of the poisons wore off. But she left it unfinished and the slide would only launch her in another direction, giving her slightly more time to plan.

Then she did it.

"No, Morgiana, not that button!" he tried to yell but his voice fell to deaf ears. She had clicked the Heat Ray and she was pointing it at the ground!

The rocky terrain beneath her was suddenly exposed to extreme heat.

"Not that!" Space Ghost cried out in fear for his partner's life. "She has turned her landing spot into a pool of magma!"

With a look of determination Space Ghost shot forward, intending to reach Morgiana before she reached critical temperature.

"If I can reach, her, in time, and posses, her, I can, save her life." his voice was strained as he traveled at lighting speed toward his destination. Finally, seconds before she would make contact with the magma, he reached her.

Space Ghost flew towards her to posses her. She turned around and saw him, and as he was about to bond with her, she pushed him away and fell towards the red grave below.

"Morgiana!" Space Ghost cried as he reached out to her.

A few seconds earlier Morgiana was untying herself from her own chains. She was pouting as she remembered the creep who had tied her up. If she saw him again she'd give him a good scare and a talking to.

But for now she should focus on the fall.

There was only one thing that would allow her to achieve her goal. She pressed a random button again.

Ice this time.

It would be of little help. She could make an 'u' shape to gradually slow the fall but she wasn't confident enough in her understanding on how the world operated to try it. So she just made as slide that would propel her at an angle.

These 'Power Gauntlets' seemed versatile. If they had force and ice then they should have that. But which button. With the fall getting closer and closer she probably had no more than one try.

She put her hand above one of the gauntlets. As a flame Household Vessel user she couldn't be wrong.

Her eyes widened. Heat. She could feel a heat coming from,

Her finger went to one of the buttons.

Here.

Morgiana clicked the button and from her arm a beam of pure heat shot out. It hit the ground and created a pool of magma. Such potent power! Her Spirit truly was something, to have such a magical item.

Getting closer, she could feel the heat from underneath. Turning her head back, she saw that several people were going down the slide. Not too many, but there were still people that needed saving.

Space Ghost was coming too, but she couldn't afford to be distracted. He crashed into her and she sealed her mind, barring him from entering and pushing him back.

Just as he was yelling her name, she fired her chains towards the magma, dipping them into the hot liquid. The heat traveled up, turning them bright red, but being magical in nature they did not hurt her.

Now, finally, it was time to show her new friend her wings.

"Household Vessel: Amol Seiseila!" she called out and fire traveled from the magma, along her chains, engulfing them in flames. The fire took the shape of beautiful large wings.

Morgiana flew skillfully and with great power. With every flap of her wings she dipped them into the magma to recharge them as she could not give them power herself due to her depleted Magoi.

One person, two people, three people, she caught them all and placed them gently on the ground.

"Incredible." she could finally hear Space Ghost's words as she was no longer falling. "The nanomachines inside you cannot mess with the spiritual energy in your wings as it is not yours."

Morgiana landed on the ground. Then she hugged the ground, as people are wont to do after a 40,000 ft. drop.

"Morgiana," Space Ghost called to her and she looked up at her Spirit. "Consider yourself a honorary member of the Space Patrol. You showed some exceptional judgement and bravery today. I'm proud to be working with you."

Morgiana smiled as she remembered all the adventures Space Ghost had talked about. Maybe now she could join them on their next outing!

"Thank you!" she said enthusiastically.

"And our first order of business will be to give you a jet pack like Jan and Jace, to avoid any further airplane related incidents." Space Ghost said and laughed and Morgian and everyone she'd saved also laughed. For some reason. Probably the adrenaline high.

As Shaman and Spirit traveled together along a dirt road, the Shaman suddenly remembered something.

"I never did apologize to that lady for offending her." Morgiana said.

"The one with the peanuts you told me about?" Space Ghost asked. He looked thoughtful. "I don't know Mor, I think she should have explained to you how to eat them instead of just watching."

"Maybe she was at a loss for words." as someone not too good with people Morgiana could relate. "Did you see what happened to her?"

None of the stewardesses were among the people Morgiana saved.

"As a matter of fact I do." Space Ghost said and started explaining.

"Oh God, oh God, I'm gonna die. Oh God, I'm gonna die because of some stupid job! Why don't one of you freaks help me!" the peanut stewardess cried out as she held onto her tray for dear life.

Her cries were met with silence.

"Why am I the only one panicking. Scream you bitches!" she yelled in frustration, but her face turned mellow when she saw the other stewardesses flying away, using their trays like flying jet bikes.

"Oh right I was in the bathroom playing on my phone while we were getting instructed." she muttered to herself. "Who goes to those things. It's just some boring safety regulations."

She roamed with her hands all over the tray's surface, until finally she stumbled upon a button. "Oh God!" she cried as the jet thrusters pulled her forward forcing her to hand on for dear life.

And soon she was gone over the horizon.

The peanut lady had crash landed in the middle of some desert. There was a road thankfully. So she planned to hitchhike and hoped she wouldn't be brutally murdered by some psycho.

"There you are." a familiar female voice came from behind her. "I have something to tell you."

So much for not getting murdered by some psycho. She didn't even have the will to turn around. She'd die without looking at her killer like a coward.

Peanut lady had never had much motivation in life.

"Um, I came here to apologize for not appreciating your food." what? "It was actually really good when I tried it properly?" wait where was the brutal murder, was this some twisted murder foreplay? "So please don't be mad, I'm glad you introduced me to something so delicious. I've eaten peanuts before, but peanuts in a tiny bag, that's really awesome."

She turned around and found the young redheaded girl smiling at her sincerely.

What a bitch.

Toying with her like that, trying to break her.

She'd go enjoy her life with no regrets see how the bitch felt murdering such a content person.

"Oi, don't mess with me." she glared at her future killer. "I'll become so prosperous you'll cry and kill yourself when you kill me, got it?"

With that said, she huffed and started walking along the long road ahead of her, now determined.

Walking on the opposite side of the road were Morgiana and Space Ghost.

"She really is a bit weird." Morgiana commented.

"At least she's energetic." Space Ghost said.

Morgiana nodded and pressed a button on her 'Power Bands'. She took flight, arms outstretched in front of her.

And like that both Spirit and Shaman flew in sync towards the setting sun.

Under the scorching sun, a lone samurai with a wooden sword and a natural perm walked along the long stretch of road.

"Man it's hot," he complained to nobody in particular and then turned to his companion walking beside him and fanning him with a shirt he was no longer wearing. "Yuta-kun can you put a little bit more energy here, I'm about to die of heat stroke?"

"Um, mister Gintoki vi Sakatania? Remind me again why I must serve you?" the kid, a red haired high schooler, asked.

"Oi, oi, we've been over this already, your amnesia must be really getting to you Kall*n-chan." the man complained, while indicating with a bored gesture for Yuta to wave his shirt faster, which he did.

"Who's Kall*n-chan? And it's not that, it's just that it's a lot to unpack." the boy looked hesitantly at Gintoki and then looked down. "Are you really the son of the king of Sakatania who murdered your mom and whom you seek revenge against in the guise of the terrorist Zero Point Zero One, while pretending to be a regular teacher during the day?"

Gintoki walked forward silently. Yuta slowed down with the fanning and Gintoki gestured for him to pick it up.

After some time, Gintoki stopped in place, arms crossed, staring forward.

"What did I tell you Yuta-kun?" he asked, calmly. Yuta bowed his head, still fanning.

"Just that." he said.

Gintoki nodded and stared at the horizon for just a bit longer.

"I know it's hard for you Koz*ki-san, but you have to pull through. After that evil vampire used his Stand Ability to steal you, my stand from me, ever since he turned you into a boy and washed away your memory, making you think as if you're a regular schoolboy and not my companion." Gintoki's shoulders shook and Yuta turned to look in shock.

The man, he couldn't remember turned towards him with a face filled with deep sorrow, directed right at him, tears barely held back. Yuta couldn't help but be taken aback.

"Sakatania-san." he couldn't help but mutter.

"Ever since then I've felt like an important part of me is missing." he grit his teeth and looked down, hiding his eyes underneath his wavy hair. "And I guess I'll never get that part back."

Yuta looked at the man, his fists tensly bowed, his eyes hidden in shadown, as if afraid to show the pain inside his soul.

Yuta would believe.

"I'll," Yuta, paused thinking this through, then he discarded his thoughts, there was a man in need and from his words he could tell this man was precious to him. "I'll do it Sakatania-san, I'll help you beat your father and mentor who sacrificed his arm for you and then you'll find the island at the end of that sea and become..."

"Great, great, Yuta-kun. Keep up that spirit. Now switch up with Caliber over there, giving me shade, I think he's kind of tired." Gintoki's previous mood evaporated, replaced with a cool uncaring demanor. He nodded up at Caliber who for some reason had decided that the best way to keep Gintoki shade would be to jump around and try not to fall too fast when his shadow covered his target's body.

Yuta stared at this man, shocked. Was he bottling his emotions due to grief or...?

Caliber started his attempt to cool off Gintoki.

Like with the shade, he put in too much effort into in and started waving his swords around, creating a whirwing which threw Gintoki back right into the windshield of a truck. It sped forward, dragging Gintoki along with it and his spirits, being both bonded to Gintoki's clothing, were pulled along.

Gintoki looked at the truck driver who was driving half asleep due to her familiarity with the road and hadn't notced Gintoki who was her field of vision.

The samurai got up and rubbed his shoulder, complaining about overzealous Stands ruining his day and did a manouver to climb in through the passenger window. He took a seat and put on his belt.

"Oi, old lady, you taking hitchhikers?"

The driver grunted and looked him over, then turned her eyes back to the road.

"Where to?"

"Somewhere with a pachinko parlor, I'm feeling it today granny, I met some Stands that can help me cheat for sure. I'll make it big."

"I think this place, I'm headed to," she stopped to think about the name, "Patch village was it? I think it has one of those, or was it a dangerous fighting competition?"

Gintoki widened his eyes.

"Hey granny, the difference between those two is night and day, how can you confuse them? Is it one or the other!" he said with great panic in his voice, but the driver didn't respond.

He looked forward, worried that she might crash, but no, it was like she was going on auto pilot. This wasn't normal at all. Gintoki turned to face the driver. Someone who drives for a living should...

Oh.

There was some weird guy with a pyramid for a head sitting next to him. So the old hag was under a trance or something.

"Oi, are you a mummy on a budget or what?" he asked while reaching for his sword. It glowed with a black energy. Caliber had already entered it, creating an Oversoul. "You spent all your allowance on card games and forget to build yourself a big enough pyramid?"

"There is no need to prepare for combat, at least not for a few moments or so." the guys said. "In fact, one such as you, who only got this far through random luck, barely knowing how to use his Spirit at this stange of the competition should just hand in his resignition letter now."

"And what if I don't?" he asked, firmly planting his feet to the ground, ready to strike.

The device on his wrist pinged, indicating a next stage to the Shaman fight.

"Then prepare for danger and learn fast." an Oversoul activated, it was that guy's pyramid head. Before Gintoki could react he was pulled into it, falling down through nothingness towards an ethernal blckness.

With a jolt he landed.

What was this? He felt something soft against his palm. Some guy was blabbering about labyrints and Egyptian rivers, but Gintoki didn't pay too much attention. This was definitely the old fall onto a girl and accidentally grope her trope. He'd get slapped about ten meters back next thing he knew it.

Then somebody groped his silver balls.

Could it be the fat guy, mistake him for a lady due to man boobs, open your eyes and it turns out to be a stereotypical okama, trope? Sigh.

Gintoki fearfully opened his eyes. A pleasant smile greeted him.

"White Demon is it? I've heard a lot about you. Wanna take this somewhere private?"

And was pleasantly surprised to find a pretty succubus under him.

"Help, help! My spirit's being all depressed and mopey!" a girl in red with a scythe in hand yelled out in distress.

"Whatever." the girl by her side shrugged as she boredly played with some of the traps, using the water she controlled to form hands and interact with the environment.

"Young lady," a man with orange hair, wearing a suit appeared suddenly with a briefcase in hand and a warm attitude. "It sounds like you're in need of a psychic to assist you and your spirit."

The man flashed a smile, the weird lighting of this giant pyramid glinting off his teeth. His hand blurrend in motion and it eventually settled in a thumb pointing boldly at himself.

"Reigen Arataka, professional psychic, happy to assist in all matters of the supernatural."

Lapis, the blue spirit looked down, a shadow obscuring her face.

"Can you make this pain, the pain caused by my finally finding friends and a home after so much loneliness and then dying on them, brought back to some fight in some war."

Reigen didn't lose his smile, yet he didn't react either.

Ruby, the red shaman leaned over and whispered in his ear.

"She hasn't been like this for a few days. We were making progress but the whole pyramid thing stressed her out a lot. Can you help her with your mystic mambo jumbo?" she asked and Reigen made a look as if he were pondering, while in reality no such thing was happening. He did this because customers got nervous if he showed himself to be too eager. After waiting the appropriate amount of time, he nodded. "Please lie the young lady anywhere she'd like."

"Who are you calling young?" the spirit grumbled.

After Lapis had been laid down Reigen prepared his tools. He took in a deep breath and then with a martial arts yell he hit an opened pack of salt with a palm strike and then he did the same with the other hand. He kept his motions controlled yet powerful, like he'd seen in martial arts movies. Then he slowly, with purpose, the purpose being to show that he was cool and in control, he walked over to another open pack of salt, a different brand, and repeated the same thing as before.

He walked over to Lapis, who looked to be asleep in the sandy floor.

"I see you're hunted by spirits of the past. But in order to banish a spirit from a spirit, you need two layers of salt pressing really hard against you."

Then in a sudden motion he slammed his hands down on her shoulders, putting some of that furyoku on his hands as not to sink through her body, and started seemingly violently, but actually very skillfully, massaging her.

"This, actually isn't too bad." Lapis buried her head in the sand, not letting her face show.

"Double Layer Sorcery Crush!" he called out the name of his move as his hands blurred due to the speed of his movement. The scene froze. The logo depicting the attack name showed next to Reigen as the narrator explained the move.

Reigen's special move where he relieves the stress from emotional fatigue and gets rid of > stiff shoulders and back pain caused by slumped posture.

"Ha..." Reigen exhaled as he finished.

Lapis shifted from her lying position to a sitting one. She didn't look at either Reigen or Ruby as they stared at her expectantly.

She turned to Ruby.

"Sorry, for being all wound up and angry," she said and paused a bit before continuing, "...again. Now that I've calmed down a bit, let's try to make the best of this and make it as far as we can."

Ruby squealed and went over to hug her spirit who in turn turned to the other side and rolled her eyes. She did allow herself one small smile though.

Just as Reigen turned to leave Ruby called out to him.

"If you ever need anything, call us!"

As he walked, he raised his hand in acknowledgement and continued onward.

Soon, when the other team was out of sight, Magneto decided to appear. It was kind of annoying having an old guy as your spirit. To top it off, this guy, who could be his grandfather, was acting like a super villain and endangering people's lives while he was at it.

Reigen did not approve, but you had to work with what you had.

"I see you're still making connections." Magneto commented beside him. He usually stayed hidden when Reigen talked business, His face was bad enough for the clients, but when he actually started talking. Let's just say it's bad when clients run away from you screaming.

"Yup." Reigen said. Even now he was typing something on his phone. "Maybe someday, someone will decide to quit and they'll give me their kind and likable spirit."

"Insult me as much as you want when I cleanse you all and you're rotting away in the afterlife, you faker mutant." Magneto spat.

"How are preparations going?" Reigen asked. He stared at his phone in wonder. Would a wink emote be too brash to text to a client, even a regular. Should he just keep it a regular smile. Perhaps a toothy smile. No, make that two. Excellent. Sent.

Reigen flipped the phone shut and turned his attention to Magneto.

"I've gathered all the metal traps within a two kilometer radius. I could do more, but you refuse to use more energy on our current oversoul." This guy just couldn't say one sentence without criticizing or insulting Reigen.

"If I put furyoku into the phone medium then it'll start glowing and people around me will think I'm picking a fight." Reigen explained, again. Magneto didn't seem to get why he didn't want his fight to be against somebody random. He seemed to have such a loathing against everyone here. "How much metal do we currently have?"

"Enough to intimidate any of the weaklings you've put on your list into giving up." Magneto explained and Reigen nodded.

"Great, that's one opponent down. I'm currently exchanging messages with a few former clients. I'll take into consideration their power, personality and if they've already taken down an opponent and offer a partnership to whoever meets my standards." he paused his typing for a bit and then looked up at the helmed man floating beside him. "Good work Magneto, I'll treat you to whatever you like after this, I'll also invite our teammates, so we can bond over a meal."

Reigen smiled at the man and then turned to his phone. Whatever he thought, it was always good to treat an employee after they did a good job. Magneto was strangely silent though.

"You know, me and my pupil, the one I was telling you about, Mob, we always go for some food after..." he paused and sniffed the air. Fire? Why did it smell like fire? There was also crackling, like there was a fire nearby.

Strange.

He looked around as he walked forward, yet he didn't see anything like that. Yet as he walked it was as if the crackling became stronger and the air became hotter.

Oh n-!

Before he could jump back he felt himself burst into flames, he rolled around in the sand, but it did little to calm down the roaring flames.

"Amol Selseila" a girl said, as she appeared out of nowhere, along with a giant pillar of flame behind her. Her hair was read and violent, yet her face was calm and composed. "Inviso Flames!" she finished naming her attack.

"I can't believe it Mor!" a ghost appeared behind the girl. It was probably her spirity, but boy did that guy look like an actual ghost. Born for the role? Or did he die for the role? He should probably actually voice his quips, but the fire was really distracting him.

Oh.

Reigen was on fire! He started frantically rolling in the sand again, this time covering himself with furyoku, allowing his spirit's essence to overpower the other one's. Eventually the flames stopped and he started standing, one foot and a knee to the ground. Smoke was coming off of him as he stared at the opponents.

"Somebody actually fell for this trap. You'd have to be deaf, and have the heat tolerance of a rock to walk into a flame like that, even if it is invisible." the ghost man said with a smirk. That was Space Ghost, if his late night chat at the bar with some of the contestants had proven useful.

And the girl that looked so filled with pride, taking on a power stance, was Morgiana.

Great. Just the opposite of the easy match he'd been looking for.

He channeled his power into the flip phone, making it radiate spiritual energy, his own spirit appeared over it, menacing, and glared at their enemy.

Gintoki glared at his enemy. More accurately he glared at his enemy's boobs.

"I see Stand users attract other Stand users." Gin said.

"I see Darkstalkers attract other Darkstalkers." Morrigan said.

They looked at each other and blinked.

"Hey, I'm not a Darkstalker/Stand user!" they both complained.

"How come, you look strikingly similar to what the people on the surface are calling the White Demon." Morrigan said as she checked him out.

"No, no, you see that's just a misunderstanding. It's a moniker they gave me during the war. I'm nothing as scary as a demon." Gintoki explained and Morrigan nodded.

"I see so the fabled White Demon is a human." she smiled at him seductively. "Impressive."

"And you? Aren't we all just a bunch of Stand users? Why did you say you weren't one. Did you have to get pierced by the arrow to unlock yours. Aren't you a natural?" Gin leaned in close and put his hand near his mouth so only she could hear him. "Relax, I only recently got mine too."

"You do realize we're Shaman, right?" Morrigan asked.

"Ha ha ha" Gin laughed a strained, uneasy laugh. "Very funny, but if it were like you were saying then that would mean that these are actually real spirits I'm spending my time with and not fake psycho spirits. Ha ha ha"

Gintoki laughed again. Sweat fell down his forehead as he looked behind at his spirits who had appeared to see what was going on.

"I see. So even the White Demon has things he fears." Morrigan said more to herself, and then she spoke to Gin. "How about you test them out. I'm assuming you've only been materializing your spirits' bodies up until now, but the real trick to these 'Stands' is binding them to a weapon or object."

"Let's do it guys!" Gin said and his spirits stepped forth, a man with a bad posture, wearing a suit - Caliber, a boy with red hair - Yuta, and the old computer on wheels they were pushing together - Junk. They started looking around frantically.

"How many spirits do you have and why do you have the spirit of an old computer?" Morrigan asked as she casually glanced around for what they were looking for.

Gin gave her a resigned smile.

"I already checked the piece of junk, it's not a time machine, there's no going back from this." he said. Then he looked like he'd thought of something. He pointed at the old computer. "Say, do you happen to have a socked I can plug this thing in. Apparently they can't fight without it."

Morrigan's eyes widened. Then she looked to be thinking it over and finally nodded.

"Genos," she called out and her clothes glowed with spiritual energy, her spirit materialized from it, semi-solid.

"What is wrong mistress." his eyes focused on Gin and who were digging for a socket in the desert. Though Gin seemed to only be digging through his nose. "Must we do combat with this band of hooligans?"

His voice seemed off.

"No, well yes, but first they need a place to plug that piece of junk." Morrigan explained.

"I see," her servant, Genos, said. He allowed his shaman to unplug the phone charger that was in his nose.

Morrigan clicked her tongue when she saw her phone battery but ultimately shrugged and plugged in the Junk's cable instead.

The monitor activated and on it appeared some kind of robot.

"Greetings, I am Gridman." the robot man greeted.

"Hello Gridman! Ready for a brawl?" Yuta asked as he approached the monitor, looking more excited than Gin had ever seen him.

"Always!" the robot replied and then Yuta entered the screen and the robot appeared just behind Gin, only this time it was gigantic, taller than an apartment building.

Morrigan moved in closer to Gin.

"Is that the robot, the kid, or some weird combination of them both?" she asked as she looked up at the thing. "How is that thing even a spirit? Does it have a soul?"

"It's a Stand alright! Nothing dangerous like a spirit." Gin snapped. "And don't ask me questions like I know the answers."

Morrigan backed up, Genos by her side. She smirked.

"We're doing a two out of three, all out battle. Winner gets to check one shaman off their kill list for the round." she winked at Gin. "And maybe a little something extra as a reward for a splendid performance."

"Oi," Gin turned to the side, blushing, he tried to make his voice sound more masculine and failed terribly. "If you say it like that, then I can't hold back, idiot."

Morrigan looked pleased.

"I was hoping you'd say that." she paused, a ponderous expression on her face. "Only a little less tsundere. I'll show you how to bind your spirit to your weapon."

"Genos," she commanded, "move into my wings."

And so he did. The spiritual energy covering her clothes, shifted onto her wings. Her spirit manifested behind her, looking more solid and powerful than before. Though he still had the plug up his nose.

"Now you-" Morrigan paused, she saw before her the apartment building sized robot, looking extremely solid, limbs tucked next to his body, posture straight, as he was being held up by Gin, like a really big sword.

Gin swung the giant thing.

"Giant Robot Ultra Slash Cutter!" he called the name of his attack midway towards Morrigan. It was just a regular slash but with a giant robot as a sword.

Morrigan was stupefied by the silliness of this oversoul. So stupefied in fact that she didn't dodge. The robot hit her and she spun through the air, her body spinning but at the same time not shifting from its pose.

Gin rested the giant robot on his shoulder and squinted, using his palm to shield his eyes from the mysterious sun inside a Stand. He watched as Morrigan flew out of sight.

"So this is the power of the SSSS Gridman." he commented to himself.

Morgiana took to the sky on her giant flaming wings coming from the metal bracers on her ankles.. She hovered above her enemies for a brief time and then bombarded them with balls of flame.

Reigen winced, reflexively lifting up the hand with the phone in it. Magneto appeared, along with a shield made up of a large quantity of arrows, buzz saws, spears and a plenitude of other traps he’d picked up along the way. It protected them from above but nothing crashed into it.

Reigen looked around and saw the flames hovering around him. So many that a fly would have a hard time navigating between them without getting burned.

“Amol Selseila: Flight Flames” With her attack name being called Morgiana freely dropped down towards them, the flames moving away from her descend and towards Reigen so he couldn’t move out of the way of her attack.

“Pitiful, you actually believe this will work.” with a hand gesture some pieces of metal split from the huge mass and spread out, forming into thin shields that went to push away the flames around them and form a path.

This stopped Reigen who had in the meantime started doing a ‘Salt Throw’ attack, an move in which he picked up handfuls of sands from the ground and threw it at the flames in an attempt to put them out.

But once the metal touched the flames, it immediately became red hot and not soon after did it start melting. Reigen’s eyes widened. How hot were those things? And to think that he was considering jumping and rolling in the sand to get through them.

“How?” Magneto mused as he looked up at the descending Morgiana. She was channeling a hell of a lot spiritual energy into the metal bracelets around her ankles. Magneto nodded. “I understand now.”

“You went through a life threatening experience soon after you became a shaman. Going through such a thing can greatly increase one’s quantity of spiritual energy. This allows you to imbued those flames of yours with that very same energy and make it impossible for me to fight off with regular metal.” Magneto explained. Reigen tried to keep his focus and make sense of this despite the rapidly approaching girl.

“So then, let’s do this.” Reigen, somehow had a familiarity with manipulating energy from within him and managed to send out some of it to the mass of metal magneto used as a shield. The same blue energy that emanated from his phone started emanating from the metal.

“You can do this?” Reigen asked and Magneto nodded, concentrating. He spread out the big metal shield above them, slightly curving it and prepared to take the girl’s onslaught. In addition, he was gathering their stores of metal, subtly moving it towards their location. Reigen filled that metal with energy as well.

It was rather easy for him to sense it for the same reason as it was easy for Magneto to manipulate metal so far from them. Being bonded with his cell phone, he could send out waves of his power anywhere within the confines of the pyramid they were in.

“Amol Selseila: Ghostly White Flame” It was powerful and focused on one spot, like a beam, yet he could feel the heat spreading out and damaging the entire structure. He couldn’t afford to focus his energy in any specific point, lest some other point melt and shower him in hot magma.

He withstood, barely. Morgiana landed on top of one of the balls of flame and hovered with it, looking down at them and preparing another attack.

She jumped high in the air, above the hovering flames and let them fly towards her opponents, like missiles. Magneto was quick to put up a cocoon of metal around them, but Reigen could feel each crash against their barrier. Every time the flames melted a part of their defense his spirit had to thin out the cocoon to keep its integrity and Reigen had to focus more and more energy into it.

Finally it stopped. She’d run out of flames. For now that is.

“It’s over.” Magneto said.

“Yeah.” Reigen agreed. He wasn’t worried. The girl looked reasonable enough. They’d admit defeat and be on their way in no time.

“For them.” Magneto clarified, shocking Reigen.

“What do you me-!” Reigen stopped himself as he watched Morgiana being yanked downwards seemingly by her wrists. They led the way and she drew and arc in the air, crashing on her back on the cold ground.

She coughed blood, before being yanked again, this time to a pyramidal structure nearby. Her spirit appeared behind her and pressed a button on the bands of his wrists. The same bands Morgiana was wearing. The same bands Magneto was using to yank her!

Reigen finally got it.

The girl’s lips, quivering from the pain as she moved them opened up high for a shout.

“Amol Selseila: Burning Forcefield.” Morgiana yelled out her attack name. It helped a lot to snap her away from the pain. The previous blow had nearly knocked her out cold. She only kept going due to Space Ghost screaming in her head not to give up.

The forcefield activated. It burned like a mighty flame that did not hurt. A flame that gave her as much energy as she spent to keep it alive. It was because of the memory of that man back home that it gave her such strength.

This new defense combination between her Household Vessel and Space Ghost’s magic, like all their new moves.

When she crashed into the stone pyramid she felt the blow, but there was barely any damage. Unlike before.

Magneto yanked her around. He crashed her into various objects and traps but seemed to be realizing that they had barely any effect.

Morgiana tried to attack before he did anything with this new revelation but as she prepared her White Flame, she was roughly yanked in a single direction and misfired.

No good.

Magneto pushed her down to the ground, spreading her arms to the sides, it was as if she were glued to the ground. Then a great shadow fell over her.

A giant pyramid.

“What is this?” Space Ghost said with great shock beside her. “For somebody who controls metal to control a pyramid as big as this… This thing must be brimming with traps!”

Morgiana was not happy. Here she thought that a metal user would be a good match for her. Since fire melts metal. Though fire also melts most other things. She clearly really hadn’t though this through as she hadn’t once considered the possibility of the pointy bit of a giant pyramid falling on her chest. It spun like a drill attempting to pierce through her armor, with the tip being coated in the shaman’s spiritual energy.

“Space Ghost.” she called to her spirit.

“Yes Mor, I’m thinking.” he sounded frustrated. Not seeing any options apparently.

“We should’ve left the Power Bands behind somewhere.” Morgiana said.

“No,” Space Ghost shook his head. “They are my connection with the Physical Realm. Without them I can not travel with you.”

Morgiana groaned softly, frustrated.

“If only we could, find a way, to stop his connection with the wrists.” Space Ghost lamented.

Morgiana’s eyes widened.

“Space Ghost, if I bond you to the Power Bands instead, will you be able to stop Magneto from controlling them?” she asked and he looked to be thinking. She wished he could think faster! Her chest was starting to hurt from the pyramid trying to drill into it. and it was getting harder and harder to breathe.

“Yes,” he said hesitantly. He immediately followed it up with “But if he can not control the metal on your wrist he can control the metal on your ankles once I’ve let go of it. That is unless we attempt a double medium.”

Morgiana considered but ultimately shook her head. The pyramid drilling her helped with her hasty decision.

“No,” she said. “No, he cannot. the property of a Djinn’s household cannot so simply be controlled by one such as him.

Space Ghost stared for a moment then nodded.

“Fine,” he said, “We’ll use the the Power Ray to push that thing off us for a split second and then I’ll change over. You can handle the Power Bands as a medium? We’ve barely practiced with them Mor.”

Morgiana nodded.

“Okay, when you’re ready then.” Space Ghost said. The fire on the forcefield was starting to dwindle.

“Ready.” Morgiana replied with an urgency in her voice.

"Let's go with the Destroyer Ray." Space Ghost said as he clicked a button on his Power Bands. Morgiana could feel a surge of power going into her Household Vessel and melded that power with her own. Strengthening it.

The fire from the forcefield gathered at the tip of the pyramid, levitating and pushing the huge structure slightly up. The flames abandoned their usual color and started burning in a deep red.

"Amol Selseila: Flames of Destruction!" Morgiana called out the attack name. And like that the flame shot up in a thick current. Pushing back and crushing the giant pyramid. The flames cracked its spinning top and entered inside, spreading further in, creating cracks on the outside from which flames shot out. The attack reached the base of the pyramid and it shot out like a mighty beam.

The pyramid blew up, raining rubble on the surrounding terrain.

And in the screen of dust and ash created from the attack, Morgiana stood up straight, a glow emanated from her wrists.

"Fool." Magneto insulted. "All those fireworks just to change your medium. You think I can't control the one on you ank-? No." realization slowly crept upto Magneto's face. "It can't be! A metal I can't control."

Morgiana shot at Reigen with a beam. He raised his phone to block and it worked. Though the force of the blow flung him back and out of sight.

Gin finally reached the location where his blow had flung Morrigan.

Gridman, who had been walking in a handstand position since his medium started at his feet, jumped up with his hands and landed on the ground, Gin next to him.

"Oi, sorry for using your face to hit a home run." Gin scratched the back of his head. "How about I buy myself a chocolate parfait in apology and we both forget about this."

"Nah, wanna team up?" Morrigan asked.

"Ehhhh!?" Gin exclaimed.

"Ah I really screwed up this time, I don't have any money to be paying for a mental hospital, oi. I'll go even more bankrupt, oi!" Gin looked Morrigan over ponderously. He took a baseball stance with his giant robot as a bat. "But if I hit you like that again, then-"

Morrigan moved over, placing a hand over his, which clutched the giant robot.

"If you think a hit like that can harm Morrigan Aensland, then you've got another thing coming." she said, her face close to his eyes staring into his. "So how about it? I hear you're working Odd Jobs so I'm hiring you as my partner. Let's negotiate the terms."

"Tsk. I can't turn down a client, even if they are a beautiful seductive succubus." Gin looked over his shoulder. Someone was going to ruin this. Things just didn't go well.

"Your job is to serve" her hand went to her breast,"my" to her abdomen, "every" to her hips, "need" to Gin's chest. Morrigan pondered for a bit and added "Also the occasional fighting."

"And what am I getting paid for all this?" Gin said, trying to keep his gaze focused on hers. He was failing of course, his gaze being elsewhere, but he was putting in effort. Very very lax effort.

Morrigan wiggled her hips in response.

"Deal!" Gin agreed, reaching out a hand, blood steadily flowing down his nose as they shook hands.

He turned to his colleagues. He'd forgotten they were there. They weren't the most talkative bunch but come on.

"Oi, none of you object to this? None of you are gonna go all: "What the hell, Gin-san!", "Go to hell you perv!", "Don't take such shady jobs!"? Nothing?" he turned to the Junk where the giant robot was present on screen. "Oi robot, play the straight man. Take a jab at the ridiculousness of this situation."

The robot gave thumbs up.

"I for one welcome your new bond. The more people to fight the Kaiju the better. I wish you happiness in your relationships."

Gin frowned. He turned to carrot top and called out to him. The kid was trying not to stare at Morrigan and was having far more success than Gin.

Useless. He turned to the final member of his team, Caliber.

"As long as it does not hinder our fight against Kaiju I will not mess with your personal affairs."

"Oi, is none of you seriously gonna try and prevent me from making such an indecent decision!"

His spirits didn't say anything, except for the robot who was still giving thumbs up encouragingly.

Gin's eyes widened. He looked up at the bright sky, filled with mysterious light. The brightness illuminated his face which seemed to shine on its own. His very spirit glowing with the sudden revelation.

He was no longer shackled by the warden of the socially acceptable, the straight man in the comedy routine, who frowned at and punished anything immodest or inappropriate. From now on he was his own man.

He tore open his own clothing revealing the leather BDSM suit underneath. He rested his whip on his shoulder.

"Let's go somewhere private, whore, there will be a lot of screaming going on tonight, gehahahaha!" his lips twisted into an awful grin, his eyes gained a tint of madness and he cackled like a cheap sleazy villain stereotype.

"Sure, sure." Morrigan said distractedly, preparing some magic. "I'm doing a spell that will bind us in a contract, so that one cannot betray the other. Plus it'll give us a boost when we fight together."

"Ah, okay." Gin's face returned to normal and he calmly sat down on the sand beneath him, watching as Morrigan performed her sorcery.

Two shaman flew through the air. Magneto had gotten some Metal onto Reigen and was moving him around like a child playing with a doll. It wasn't really necessary but it did put a smile on Magneto's face.

"Hey, Magneto, let me try something, just build me a bridge towards them." Reigen said, looking serious all of a sudden. Magneto was obviously skeptical and he let it show on his face.

"I'm serious, I know what I'm doing." He said with determination.

Magneto reluctantly, put up some metal as a platform for Reigen to walk on. The man approached their enemy with the same confidence he approached everything else with. If he could comment that filthy non-mutant on anything, it would be his confidence, the way he looked like he was always in charge of a situation.

But Magneto knew that he was never in charge.

"Morgiana, I've come to bargain." he approached her and Morgiana nodded, motioning with her head for him to come. He stepped forward and just as he reached the edge of the platform his arm shot out.

"Self-defense pu-" his strike proved useless as Morgiana maneuvered to the side and shot a powerful kick at his ribs, shattering two of them, then her leg fell to the platform and she used it as a stepping stone to launch the same leg up again, right into Reigen's jaw. The frame froze at that moment and the narrator started talking.

Reigen's special move where he attempts to both surprise his opponent with an attack and get out of any potential legal trouble by claiming self defense. In this instance it was countered by a superior opponent.

Magneto watched with some glee as his broken shaman spun through the air. He was still conscious as evident by Magneto still being bound to the medium.

Let's get this over with.

Since they dealt with the metal on their bodies all he had to do was get more metal attached to them and continue his earlier scheme. He flung some pieces of metal at his enemies.

"Mor, wrong button!" the space man said. "That's the Senso-Ray, it is used to fight invisible forces. You need something offensive, quickly now, before those dastardly pieces of metal latch onto you again and move you like a string puppet."

"I can see it, Space Ghost. His power. It's a bunch of beams hitting the metal and controlling it." Morgiana explained. She looked shocked. As she should be. His power definitely did not work like that! Was that girl hallucinating? "There are beams everywhere, Space Ghost. From us to the ground, from the light on the ceiling to us, from our bodies to the air. It's incredible."

"By gosh Mor. I see what's going on here!" the ghost man exclaimed. Did he really? Cause Magneto sure didn't. Fools! Were they just going to ignore his attack. Then let them both rot under his iron clutches. See if he cared.

"Your Furyoku pooling into the Power Bands is strengthening them. It's like they're working on overdrive, no, more like maximum overdrive. We shall call this power Beam Vision. Incredible Mor, maybe if you can use the Negatron Ray to absorb those beams we can negate his power!"

"Is that possible?" Morgiana exclaimed, finally glancing worriedly at his projectiles.

And of course that wasn't possible. It was ridiculous.

"We won't know unless we try, Mor, come on, together now." the ghost from space said and they both clicked on their bands. They both aimed at his projectiles and then they merged, an empty white socket, like a ghost's stared at Magneto for a split second.

Then his control on the projectiles slipped for a second. It was enough for them to cross the distance to his shaman. Magneto tried to hit them with some metal but it didn't work. They sucked out his energy controlling those projectiles, for a split second and then they decked his shaman in the face.

Magneto's bond with the medium was severed and he started falling.

That girl who defeated him. Morgiana. There was pain in her eyes. The same pain as his. The one of rejection, of being different from everyone around you. Yet how could she fight with such pure fire, with such innocence.

He remembered Reigen talking about his apprentice. Like him he had a power others did not understand, yet Reigen helped him adjust, turned him into a good person.

Magneto remembered his first night with Reigen. No, not like that you fool.

The shaman and spirit combo sat by the campfire, neither speaking, both knowing what was on the other's mind. Hate for each other. One a dishonest hero, the other a honest villain.

They did not mix well, yet they had to work together in order to win.

Reigen had enforced a strict no killing or crippling policy for their partnership. Just to mess with his shaman, Magneto asked.

"If a situation presented itself where I had to kill out of 'self defense'. Would you condone it?" he asked and Reigen didn't look up for awhile. He bounced his leg up and down and typed on his phone. Already the man had made acquaintances.

Absentmindedly he ruffled through his bag and pulled out a bag. Without looking away from his phone he opened a specific page and gave it to Magneto.

The spirit took it, curiously.

It was a book on law. The page was the start of the self defense clauses.

"If you can honestly with a 100% certainty tell me that your situation fit the criteria covered here, then I will forgive you." the man simply said and kept on musing over which was more appropriate to type to a potential client. 'Hello!' or 'Hi!'.

That was a man, who was like a mountain made of cardboard. So majestic and impressive, yet so weak and brittle. Yet was this not all that a young person needed? Someone close to the sun to look up to.

Had Magneto had a mentor such as him, like that Mob boy. Had Magneto met people like this Morgiana had, who had helped her stay herself despite the pain.

"No," Magneto finally concluded "This is what I was meant to be. I mustn't get sidetracked."

Magneto thought of that man's back. So weak, yet it was so far away as he chatted with clients and made connections and didn't stop moving forward boldly. Magneto almost wanted to chase after it and reach that man.

He allowed himself one small smile. This partnership hadn't been as bad as he expected.

Magneto ultimately shook his head and went back to his falling shaman.

"White Demon, I need you to close your eyes for the ritual to work. When I say the words and we open our eyes, we'll be bonded. We must then not betray each other or we shall face the consequences." Morgiana explained.

Gin nodded.

Morrigan then said a bunch of mystic nonsense and then she said "I hereby bond us. Open your eyes, White Demon."

Just as he was opening them he heard a loud thump. Two in fact. Once he could see again, instead of sexy succubus he found himself facing an average teenager. She did a little fist pump which made her spirit smile. Then she started jokingly beating on him for laughing at her.

"Eh?" he questioned with a confused smile on his face.

"Eh?" he looked over at Morrigan who stared at a passed out man in a suit by her feet.

They looked at each other.

They both hounded on the redhead. And she smacked both of them with her feet. At least she tried to.

Gin and Morrigan caught her feet with the palms of their hands and glared at her with menacing expressions.

"Hey brat, you're a few years too early to be messing up a relationship like this?" Morrigan said, causing Morgiana to yelp and turn the other way.

"Oi, oi what's with that massive convenience of dropping in at just the right moment. Want me to drop you off a plane, eh?"

They threw her away like garbage and converged to talk strategy.

"This is really bad. I'm stuck with this Morgiana brat and you're stuck with that broken husk of a man. Can't we trade partnerships?" Gin asked desperately. He glanced at the confused Morgiana who was talking to her Spirit.

"Won't work, the partnership only breaks when you either fail at the goal you set out to do or accomplish it." Morrigan explained and Gin tisked. Not good.

"So we have to go to win this tournament to break the contract?" Gin asked. This was false. He knew. But he hoped he knew wrong.

"Gin, we both know why we entered this contract and it wasn't to win this tournament." Morrigan said with a teasing smile.

"Shit, so I have to do th*t with the brat or our contract will never break?" Gin asked, palm to his forehead in shock.

"Or attempt to do it and fail, which is equally bad. Also it's not 'our' contract. It's yours and it is mine, but it is not theirs. So if you attempt to fight her during the tournament you won't be able to since you'll be breaking contract and betraying her." Morrigan said. "Your best bet is to team up with her."

"Ah!" Gin groaned in frustration. Then he turned to Morrigan. "We're still gonna?"

"We're still gonna."

"Hey, hey." Morrigan tried to get their attention. "How do you even know my name? And why do you assume I'll just join you?"

"Don't you know all redheads know each other?" Gin asked, Morgiana jumped back as if she were just now noticing Yuta who was whispering in his ear, telling him secrets of Morgiana's past.

She shuddered, but then shook it off, holding her ground.

"If you want to join me." Morgiana pointed at Morrigan, "you have to beat her."

Then she glanced over her shoulder at Space Ghost who gave her double thumbs up. She looked pleased with herself.

"Guh," Gintoki clenched his fists and looked down, he glanced at Morrigan who also looked downkast. "Damn you!" he muttered through grit teeth.

He leaned in close to Morrigan.

"You're gonna help me rig this?" he asked.

"Sure." Morrigan nodded.

They stood in front of the pleased Morgiana and glared at each other.

"You beat me once by blindsiding me but I won't let it happen a second time." Morrigan taunted, creating her wing oversoul.

"We'll see. Careful not to get hit by my big fat sword this time." Gin grinned.

"Hey, putting it like that's no fair. It only makes me want to get hit!" Morrigan grinned as well.

They both moved. But Morrigan moved faster. The jet propulsion of her wings strengthened by her oversoul which spewed powerful flames. She was upon Gin before he knew it. Her kick sent him flying back.

Before he knew it Morrigan appeared again above him. But this time he was prepared. He yanked at the cable that was in her spirit's nose, getting them both off balance. Gin's Gridman crashed down upon them before they could get their bearings.

"I'll protect you, mistress!" Genos called as he took the blow with his back. He screamed in pain.

"Genos!" Morrigan cried.

"Do not think of me, mistress." Genos, who had been turned into modern art, said. "Just use my power to finish them off."

"I will!" she said with determination. Her green spiritual power that surrounded her wings, flared. She extended them, turning them into pointy tentacles which in turn became, robotic hands. Hands with incinerators in their palms.

"Wall of Flame!" Morrigan called as she fired a giant burst of flame at Gintoki. He blocked with Gridman but soon his oversoul broke under the pressure, signaling his defeat.

Once Gin got his bearings, he looked up to see something wonderful. The shapely body of Morrigan was moving around, serving Genos in whatever way she could, while wearing a nurse's outfit.

Also she was wearing a mask of the Saitama district in Japan. It was literally map with holes cut out for eyes.

"Oi oi, what's with the mask?" Gin asked as he sat on the spare bed. Where she'd gotten those, he'd never know.

"He can't get turned on otherwise." she said as she poured Genos tea while pressing her breasts against his face. "Believe me I've tried."

"Master, please, you needn't concern yourself with my injuries, please go about your day as normal." then Genos shifted to the side, making Morrigan's breasts jiggle. "But if you really must stay, then, then I don't mind!"

"This is my spare, which I didn't expect to work." she pointed at her mask. "The original got...damaged."

Gin made a positively disgusted expression for a few moments and then motioned at his stomach.

"Oh by the way, nurse. I stabbed myself by accident, can I get some medical care from you?" Gin asked casually.

Morrigan looked down at the red line across his stomach which ended in his wooden sword. It was currently spraying liters upon litters of blood.

"That's seppuku." she said in deadpan.

"Accidental stab wound." Gintoki said as he met her eyes, unyielding.

Morrigan sighed and motioned for him to lie down.

She shoved her breasts in his face and started pouring him tea.

"You know, this feels strange." Gintoki mused.

"How so?" Morrigan asked. And then he heard it. The same voice. She had the same voice actor as that bastard.

The nurse leaned down. No longer the cute Morrigan. She was replaced by the Gintoki's rival, Takasugi, wearing a nurse outfit and looking down at Gin with a menacing smile and several syringes in hand.

Gin shook his head and the image disappeared.

"I can't do this. Not while you have his voice. It's impossible. My head won't be able to figure out which sword I should stab you with."

Morrigan nodded as she cleaned her tools. Then she said casually.

"Then you'll just have to fill my mouth with something so that you won't hear his voice."

"Eh!" Gintoki and Space Ghost exclaimed in shock. Morgiana's 'eh' was more out of confusion really.

Gintoki's spirits just kept their distance since this didn't involve Kaiju.

"is she hungry, Space Ghost?" Morgiana leaned in and whispered to her companion.

"Indeed Mor, but not in the way you're familiar with." Space Ghost explained solemnly.

Morrigan smiled as she led the way, Gintoki, reluctantly followed, glancing over his shoulders every few meters.

"Something's gonna go wrong, I just know it." he muttered to himself as he looked around. "Ah, my heart's beating so hard despite there barely being any blood to pump."

He couldn't take it anymore and ran. Forward.

"I'll race you there!" he yelled back at Morrigan.

"You're so fun, White Demon!" she was keeping up with him. As he was looking at her he ended up crashing into a building.

Oh, it was a love hotel. Good thing you can always find one of those lying around in the middle of a strange desert.

They got in and started to undress.

Oi! what kinda shitty porn crossover is this, Gintoki yelled in his mind, he was stiff as a rock as he prepared himself, in more ways than one. Can't that pervy author keep it in his pants!

Morrigan looked over at him confusedly.

"Something wrong, White Demon?" she asked him and he shook his head with a smile.

Though somehow I can't get mad at him for this, Gin thought with a complacent expression. Readers please forgive me, I've made the natural transition from Jump to Erotic Doujinshis.

He leaned in for the kiss.

Morrigan, Morgiana, I'm pretty sure the readers won't read the name after the 'Mor', they won't mind if I switch Mor with Morr right? This is okay, right? The author already mixed them up a few times and nobody noticed? I'm sure nobody will mind. This will work right? I'm gonna do this, right?

And then a monkey in a futuristic costume kicked both him and Morrigan through the wall of the hotel.

"Once again you've saved the day Blip!" Space Ghost complimented his monkey companion who in fact looked kind of sad for some reason.

"Damn," Morrigan muttered as she begrudgingly got up and rubbed her cheek.

Gintoki's beating heart calmed down. He had a straight man again and so the world now operated on normal logic. Well two straight men - Space Ghost for the oral commentary and the monkey for the physical part.

"Let's finish this, White Demon, I'm getting frustrated." Morrigan said as she walked over to the nursing bed with Genos in it.

"But your spirit," Morgiana called out to her, but Morrigan cut her off with her words to Genos.

"Spirits can't get hurt, get up, let's finish this." she stated plainly and Genos was immediately fixed.

"Forgive me mistress, it's an old habbit from when I was alive.

Genos once again bonded with her wings and Gin once again called out his gigantic robotic sword.

But it was no use, they were unmatched in speed and power. And while she still held back, Morrigan was a bit angry this time around and it showed. Gin needed to make a show of his power.

"Oi, Caliber!" Gintoki called out to the man with his hands in his pockets. "How about you come and help?"

The man ran to the old monitor while Gintoki dodged Morrigan's wing-tentacle-spears. Not soon after, Gridman was equipped with a sword and became S Gridman.

Then Gin did something stupid, he didn't parry one of the flexible spears, but instead let it pierce his stomach. It went right through him and flung him back a long way. Perfect.

Gin swung Gridman at his opponent who was nimble enough to dodge, but then Gridman also swung and Morrigan being the helpful girl that she was didn't dodge it. She crashed into the ground and Gintoki used Gridman to maneuver next to her. She opened her eyes, winked at him and then resumed to play unconscious.

Morgiana soon landed beside him and looked over the unconscious shaman.

"I see you're strong. Welcome aboard, Gin, is it?" Morgiana smiled at him. It wasn't the same. Oh Morrigan, where art thou?

"Yes, thanks for having me." he said without much spirit.

"Contestants!" the voice boomed through the entire pyramid. "I declare this round over and I also declare that the first four shaman to get out through that gate will get to stay at a five star hotel for a whole week, so hurry it up!"

And immediately a bunch of people ran for the gate.

"I'm all better now," Morrigan suddenly rose. "Slave!" she called.

"Yes mistress." a familiar person suddenly appeared from the shadows.

"S-Sogo!" Gin called out, shocked.

He ignored Gin.

"The task?" Morrigan asked.

"Two shaman as you ordered." he answered.

"Excellent, let us retire." Morrigan said as she turned towards the hole.

"S-Sogo!" Gin tried calling out again. He was ignored again. He wanted answers dammit.

"White Demon, we need a ride." Morrigan told him.

A bunch of people rode on the back of the giant robot, which was currently gliding along the sand, being propelled by two shaman who spewed flames behind them.

Blip the monkey was in the front, using the giant sword Caliber to smack away any shaman in the way.

"S-Sogo, what happened? How did an ultra sadist like you get turned into a slave? What happened to you?"

"Let's not talk about it, boss." Sogo gave him a hollow smile. Gone was the sadistic twinkle in his eyes.

"Sogo!" Gin yelled out in place of his tormented friend.

"Oh now I get it!" Morgiana called out from the back. "You guys were making sex jokes!"

She laughed and leaned over towards Morrigan beside her. She had to yell loud enough for everyone to hear in order to be heard over the fire.

"I think Gintoki likes big boobs." she said and giggled to herself.

For Gintoki research I recommend these arcs, pick whichever one you like and you'll get a good picture of how he acts(I'm linking to the wiki which has which chapters or episodes the arc follows): Benizakura, the first truly serious arc of Gintama, you should probably watch the movie since it's pretty good, I recommend the sub. Gives some backstory on Gintoki too. Next is Yoshiwara in Flames, this scene is a part of it and pretty good imo. Finally is the Kabukicho Four Devas, it is the type of thing where 'everyone we've ever helped comes to help us' it has Gintoki battling someone around his level instead of some insanely op dude if that's what you prefer.

You could always watch all three, but one should be enough.
