Question How do i stop my GF bread from molding?

What am I doing wrong? If i keep it in the same packaging vs bagging individually, if I keep it on the top of the fridge vs in the cupboard, no matter what my GF bread keeps molding.

I’ve had a moldy bread issue before I was GF too. Am I doing something fundamentally wrong? Is it a temperature thing? Am I just not eating it fast enough? Loaf of bread never lasts more than a week without molding, I usually only eat 60-70% of the loaf before it molds, so I have to get a new loaf each weekend we grocery shop.

Any ideas?

Gf bread tastes better toasted. I'll lightly pretoast bread I plan to use later that day or the next day. Otherwise it's usually gummy and weird.

This is 100% true! I just learned this for myself this past week. Its a night and day difference

what do you consider a pretoast? are you getting any color on the bread or really just giving it a light toast, for like a few seconds?

Like a tiny bit of browning around the edges but not like toasting it like toast. I use my toaster oven on the light setting. It should still be soft enough so you can still make a regular cold sandwich without it being too crunchy or anything. You'll probably have to play around with it because different breads need more or less. Then I'll usually toss it in a plastic bag or something so it doesn't get dried out. I personally like the o'doughs sandwich thins for regular cold sandwiches. I can still eat gluten but the house is GF for my kid. If it makes a difference.
