Made gluten free pot pies. I use gluten free pizza dough for the crust.

No review? No recipes? No pictures of the delicious innards? Nothing!?!

I’ve been waiting for a good pot pie post for years. To get so tantalizingly close yet so disappointingly far away…

It’s almost 4 in the morning here and now I’ll be forced to stay sleepless until sunrise, pondering the potential pizza crust pot pies that could have been.

I use a frozen gluten free pie crust I also cook by eye and taste. It drives my friends nuts

I’ve made the loopy whisk pie crust twice to make a pot pie (even bought a gorgeous pie plate for this purpose) and it’s sooooo good. I’ve also used Liz pruiett’s sour cream pie dough with success to make a rhubarb pie and also used it to make gluten free hamentaschen. Delicious!

Did you add butter to the crust recipe to give it that pot pie-esque taste? Where’s the recipe? How could you do this to us? lol

I used an egg wash on the crust with salt and pepper To make the filling I start by making my own gravy I cook by eye and taste I have never followed a recipe The gravy I start by melting butter it’s about a 1/3 of cup The 2 tablespoons of gluten free flour Whisk until smooth Add broth about a cup Whisk in slowly Add about 1 tablespoon onion powder garlic powder basil and parsley Cook until thick add corn peas carrots and can potatoes Pour into a 9 in cake pan Put the crust on top and bake at 375 for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
