Sprouts for the win
I recently became gluten sensitive (over the past year) and it’s been depressing discovering I can no longer eat things I’ve been eating my entire life. One of the things I’ve missed is baked goods and sweets.
My local stores where I normally do my grocery shopping have poor/small gf options so I decided to go out of my way to the closest Sprouts based on a post I saw on this sub (for a gf ice cream cone).
I came across this in there and legit almost cried lol. There’s also gf foods THROUGHOUT the store (cookie isle, cereal isle, bakery, displays throughout the store etc.) Not just one section.
I stocked up but had to run out of there before I spent all my money lol. 10/10 this will be a regular spot for when I need to stock up on gf junk food.

Those mini cream puffs have an unhealthy hold on me. I can’t buy them anymore 😂

Check out your area for liquidation/discount groceries! Because gf foods are expensive and have a smaller audience, they often end up at the discount stores near me (I know they source from sprouts and Whole Foods) and I am able to afford to eat yummy alternatives for average $2/item.

Those cream puffs and Claire’s are so good. I could eat the whole box and one sitting.

suggestion op
katz are amazing for convenience but learning gf baking is soooooo much closer to regular baked goods. it’s not even funny, after my first gluten free king arthur bread flour mix… i became a whole human again.

I would love a yeast-raised donut that’s like a gluten one. Fried though, not baked if possible.

The cream puffs and eclairs are the best things in there. The honey buns and cinnamon buns were tiny and had a bad texture and flavor, save your money. The chocolate donut holes are good when you heat them up. Those pies and pie crusts by Maine pie company are indistinguishable from regular gluten pies, very good splurge for a holiday.

Is the Katz frozen stuff actually good? I had their version of a pop tart and they were horrible. I had to throw them out.

I’m the same way. I so wish there were a Sprouts where I live, but there are at least Whole Foods and a Fresh Thyme. They are out of the way for me too, and I definitely go overboard and my wallet cries out for help — but it absolutely brings about that ‘kid in a candy store’ feeling!

Katz hurts my belly so much and I’m obsessed with their donut holes
Someone or anyone else ? I cannot figure out why. I’m Gfree and can’t do almonds
But Yass they’re amazing Their pies are bad though.

Sometimes when I need a pick me up, I go look at this section and remind myself that there is good in the world. I love dessert.

My 2 cents - and request for input on Love & Cookies
- Katz glazed donuts are good, chocolate, not as satisfying but OK. Powdered really good (not featured). Apple pie is good.
- But the Oatmeal Cream Pie featured here is hot garbage from the depths of hell. If you're expecting gluten-free Little Debbie just put it out of your mind.
- Katz Texas Toast is extremely delicious, kept in freezer, haven't tried this brand here.
- I haven't tried these Katz blueberry muffins likely never will because run don't walk to get the Antonina's blueberry muffins.
Feedback on the Love & Cookies?

Yes!!! They opened a new sprouts near me last fall and I was overjoyed walking around it the first time and seeing so many things I could eat, and not just ingredient things, but actual specialized foods
They even have a lot of GF stuff in the bakery section, usually on its own side of a shelf display (premade/packaged cupcakes, brownies, etc.)
And sprouts does some really good manager's special/clearance markdowns sometimes, last year I got some GF carrot coconut cupcakes for like $3.50 when they are usually over $7!

I’ll run a church bus off the road for those mini cream puffs and eclairs. They’re so stupid good.
