COURSE PICS/VLOGS First round with my daughter today

Post image

My 7 year old little girl took some indoor lessons during the winter and spring, today I finally took her to a course for the first time.

A 3-hole short course for beginners, we had such a blast together, she hit some great shots and even had a short putt for par!

Celebrated with an ice cream sundae on the way home.

I’ve played a lot of golf, but these 3 holes will be special for me for a long time ❤️

General Discussion Enough with "growing the game". We need to shrink this damned thing already.

Just saw an ad for Coca Cola telling us how they're gonna grow the game.

In the Denver metro, if I don't book a tee time 10 days out for a twosome Thur - Sun, then I'm not playing. 3some or 4some .... Fuhgeddaboudit. And if I try to sneak a single on, I'll be lucky to find a 4pm tee off.

All the good tee times are booked solid for 5 hours for tournaments and leagues.

Green fees are pushing $100 for munis, and the nicer courses are $150 and higher. Even the goat tracks want at least $85.

This game does NOT need to grow. We need a sponsor telling us how they're going to keep people off the damned course. Try pickle ball or something people.

Golf Travel/Trips It’s $35 for a drink from the cart girl at Torrey Pines.

The course also just wasn’t in that great of shape. No joke, my dad’s public course back home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which costs like $30, was cleaner, the grass was in better shape throughout, and ain’t nearly as exorbitant.

The views at Torrey are unbeatable and the sand traps (which I was in a lot of) were well-kept, but I was very underwhelmed.

Also found a dimebag with some leftover white powder around the 13th.

General Discussion How crazy am I? I wanted to go on golf trips but hotels are expensive. So I built a micro camper.

I wanted to start going on golf trips but hotels are expensive. I figured if I could build something for under $1200 it would pay for itself in a couple trips. This camper is made out of poor man’s fiberglass. The whole thing weighs under 500lbs fully loaded. Thought you guys would appreciate it.

Joke Post/MEME Best round in ten years today

Post image

Been playing all my life but took a few years off to get my life together around 2018-2022. I've been stuck in the mid to low 80s all year. Wednesday I needed to par the last for 78 and put two in the water. Yesterday I was in the exact same position and finished with a birdie. Felt pretty damn good to finally break 80 for the first time in ten years.

Took my wife out to the movies last night with my Nassau winnings. This is how it felt.

Driving me crazy watching this dude play. How long he stands over the ball the shuffling of the feet.

General Discussion Can’t watch Cantlay

It just hurts my eyes. The endless wiggle waggle before hitting any club is too much for me. He is slowing down fleetwood and doesn’t seem to care about that. Falling back 2 holes behind the rest of the group. Can they please introduce penalties for this.
