Asking Referrer for Team-Match couple of Weeks before Results expire

I have interviewed for a Technical Account Manager role at Google, but they failed me in the behavior round because she said this position is closed because we already took an internal in. I interviewed for a data center technician role, but this time I didn’t get any team-matches because my recruiter said there were already too many people who also passed in a pipeline. I had a Google referral from an AI tech leader who I met while I was at a previous company as a client. He is very senior to me. How out of pocket would it be if I say thanks for your support, but unfortunately I am a few weeks away from not getting a team match and these are my skills I have project management skills, network/vpc skills, these are the licenses I have, asking if he has a role in mind for me in any team he knows or even his team? If he pleases to add me to his team, so I have to interview or can I tell my recruiter that he wants me in his team?

@neeshalicious55 That’s not what I asked on this post so please keep focus. Also, as I have mentioned already, hiring manager on googliness round told me hey, we can’t conduct this interview because internal person was chosen.
