You obviously lack the proper security clearance

That's a really weird effect. If I zoom really far out, it's like I can almost read it.

You know when you can hear people talking in the distance, but can't tell what they're saying?

No. It's completely readable.

Kat M 4009 Original Poster Jun 22, 2022 Chrome Suddenly Showing Black Background With Dark Text Hello! I'm having a problem where dark text is showing up on a black background, but only on some websites and some specific parts of programs. In Google Docs the names of my documents are showing up with black backgrounds, and on other sites the entire texts are not able to be read. I've tried turning dark mode on/off, shutting down and restarting both my laptop and Chrome, going into settings in chrome modes, but nothing seems to be working. I have not had this issue before and have been in dark mode for a long time now. Here are some platforms for reference, including Google Docs

Something to do with the width of each character maybe? Either way, I looked closer and figured out I was completely wrong about most of it anyway.

I got up to `Hello! I'm having a problem where dark text is`, and suddenly realized if I zoomed in, I could see it properly haha

You have to go into your settings and go to accessibility and disable the option of "outlined text".
