in fairness modern " pickup trucks " are basically semi trucks... I hate my country for doing this

No, you just want to bitch about it. You wouldn't actually buy it. It's why they no longer make them. They don't sell.

They don't make them anymore because the way the emissions laws are written makes it easier to pass emissions if the truck is bigger.

The Maverick is literally comparable size to the old rangers. Anyone who says otherwise is just romanticizing.
