Why Nuuk flights today have been cancelled. Stuck in Kangerlussuaq until Monday, 1 September

Winds were much stronger than this earlier. Hopefully we will get there on Monday or Tuesday. In the meantime, will enjoy Kangerlussuaq. Gotta make the best of the delays.

As someone who has operated into places like Nuuk, if you tried to get in, it would be as rough as hell. Eyeball bouncing rough. No thanks. I'll stay in bed.

The low visibility and cloud ceiling. There's even the chance of snow later, so you've got freezing fog as well possibly.

It might have been windy this morning, but visibility was better (glad I wasn't on a plane though.. Dash8 jump so much once you get past 25-30 kt
