This was the case a few years ago. Then bonuses started getting less frequent because they were preparing to launch GTA+, so as long as it exists, this is not happening again.

Although in this one instance I do have a degree of understanding as r* does need a decent inflow of cash to make gta6 work and not be another cyberpunk. If gta6 turns out to be rubbish I think fans have every right to turn on r* for making so much money from shark cards for years and effectively not doing anything good with it lol

Ouch. I was a little more than halfway to 201 when career mode unlocked, and I think I had a fair number of specialist credited right away.

Only thing left for me in the agency is the Franklin and Lamar episodes, which suck. I’m on the third one. Long, boring and unskippable cut scenes, followed by a long drive, then another cut scenes. I tried doing them last week with a couple randoms. One guy quit as soon as he got out of the car. Next guy got killed once and quit. Third guy died a couple times (I died once), then he quit and I gave up. At some point I’ll just have to suffer through the repetition until I complete them.

They're all worth buying as long as you'll like them lol.

You can easily look up "fastest gta 5 cars" if you just want what's meta. Otherwise, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Calico GTF which is on discount right now (so get before the reset in a few hours if you're interested); and for this new reset, the Stinger TT is fun if you're into sports cars, the Dinka Sugoi if you're into JDMs, the Panthere looks cool too, etc.

tl;dr just choose the cars you like the look of and will have fun driving.

Just get what you like to drive or would like to drive irl. For me it’s the sentinel classic and a declasse drift truck. I love them both to death and honestly as long as you know how to drive keeping up with people isn’t hard. Most people spin out constantly.

I really wish Rockstar would use more specific language when giving bonuses on "the Data Leaks" - it inevitably leads to speculation and necessary clarification, as evidenced by these threads.

Edit: Apparently this has to be explained to some people:

The Dr. Dre content was always/initially called "Dr. Dre: The Contract," or "The Contract." Then, it was occasionally referred to as "The Data Leaks," which also happens to be the name of one of the setups. At one point, some people online even called the finale "The Data leaks," when in reality, the finale is called "Don't F*ck with Dre."

And this is why there's confusion. It's not a user problem, it's a nomenclature choice problem. Full stop.

As a newer/returning player I noticed a lot of the GTA YouTubers exaggerate things a bit to keep up with the Joneses.

A lot of them said they'd do the dre contract in an hour (or less even in some cases) but then I'd watch and they'd be missing certain skips here and there. I doubt any of their unedited runs would come in under an hour. A funny one is people take time to turn off the air defenses on the yacht even if they're going to quickly respawn on the jet ski after sending the pic.

I'm assuming cayo perico will be more optimized when I get into that, since people run it all the time.

To learn all the tricks and ways of doing the dre missions you kinda gotta watch different ones as well as read tips on here.

Pretty much, I didn't know until like 3rd day into this x2 bonus that you can basically kill yourself once you're done with intimating the high society folks and damaging the heli, it'll directly spawn you at the cutscene and then use vigilante to jump into the military base to get the jet.

Is 30% discount on agencies the highest we will get for non-gta+ players or wait for higher discount? I got the salvage yard over the weekend for that 40% discount.

Seems like lately, 30% is typical. Hard to say what Rockstar will do in the future, and we did previously get better property discounts on a regular basis, but if you want the agency, chances are good this this the time to get it at least for a while. If it's low on your wanted list, there's always a chance we'll see it again later in the year at a better discount.

They're just too fast and sensitive for half the playerbase who have no concept of braking or lifting. Especially with the damage and tyres actually influencing the handling

Almost everytime I’d get bashed from behind from someone going full speed not even trying to slow down around a sharp corner, yeah there are new players doing open wheel but it doesn’t take long to figure out the corners. To win those you have to be in pole and pull out ahead. Seems there were always a few people who just cared about taking out players then leaving

Open wheel no collision should be default in gta. The handles are nice but realistically you can’t race with more than 3-4 in gta. Honestly, the early crashouts that mess up a lot of the pack, the drifters trying to pass on the left going into a sharp left turn, full gas on a line into 3 parts of 1 wall. You forget most gta randoms don’t actually drive a car

It would have made absolute sense to make at least the first lap non contact default to allow the pack to spread out and kids to crash the first corner without messing up the whole race.

Would give them more reason to learn not to crash too. Such a simple thing that would improve the races hugely.

The nightlife leaks in dr dre contract is still broken. All possible workarounds to avoid that infinite loading black screen after exiting the penthouse while chasing the dj that I have tried in the past to successfully navigate the black screen glitch do not work anymore

EDIT: so something told me to try the mission again but and to do it the original way it was set out to be. Didn’t apply any workaround needless to say. And it worked. I was able to complete the nightlife leaks section of dr Dre contract
