Woohoo another year of suffering Intel isn't dead!
2018 and 2019 Macbook Airs are out of the running, but their hardware is shared with the Macbook Pros of the same years. Therefore, if your setup works with Sonoma, it'll probably still work with Sequoia.
Thankfully nothing to hackintosh users, besides needing to update your SMBIOS if it was on an older model.
Starting with OCLP 2.0.0, you can finally make your old trash hardware run Sequoia to its fullest extent. You'll need OCLP if you use Broadcom WiFI.
Broadcom is still officially dead, but OCLP can be used to bring back its functionality. A great post by u/ChrisWayg details how to do this. https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/1gvu5n1/broadcom_wifi_on_macos_sonoma_and_sequoia_fenvi/
Intel WiFI works with itlwm and Heliport, but not Airportitlwm.
Either with gibmacos, or through the Software Updater.
Next year hopefully, but their approach with dropping hardware comes at odds with Sequoia's compatibility list. They will likely either drop all of Intel at once, or drop models slowly.

As Apple now polls for more T2-specific information from its Macs, you can't update to Sequoia without either of these fixes:
revpatch=sbvmm
.Note: You may encounter issues with the update not installing if you have BluetoolFixup.kext. Disable it while you are updating and re-enable it afterwards.
And as always, follow the Dortania guide first before asking questions!

Hackintoshing lives for another year! macOS Tahoe will be the FINAL release for Intel Macs, as stated during the Platforms State of the Union presentation. It's been a good ride.
Officially supported Intel models:
All graphics that worked in Sequoia should work in Tahoe.
Wait for an official announcement. If you post about OCLP before that I am going to send Tim Apple to remove every Mac from your house.

Yes, with a custom Opencore build linked here: (requires GitHub account to access)
https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/actions/runs/15548251082/artifacts/3292569096
Replace your existing Opencore.efi with the one from the download link. Make sure that your current configuration works for OC 1.0.4 first (OCValidate is a good tool to verify.)
Make sure you include -lilubetaall
in your boot arguments.
AppleALC is broken because AppleHDA was removed from Tahoe. Use HDMI/DP audio for the time being.
WhateverGreen is bugged on AMD cards, so you can't use boot arguments like agdpmod=pikera
. You are affected by this if you get a kernel panic with AMDSupport
mentioned.
IntelBTPatcher causes kernel panics
IntelMausi may not work correctly with certain Intel ethernet chipsets

My first hackintosh on my mum’s old work laptop, took around a week to complete everything. Only thing missing now is airdrop but that is limited by my wifi adaptor. Huge thanks to u/alebypegasus for helping me with graphics acceleration.

Hi everyone just starting with hackintoshing and I just wanted to ask the experts whether I should try to run MacOS on my HP Victus 15. CPU is Ryzen 5 8645HS with iGPU Radeon 760m. If so, which macOS version should I go for.

I had to use a usb wifi adapter because my broadcom wifi card doesn't work on mac os so i bought the TP-Link archer T3U AC1300

I guess it's because of the .plist configuration, but I'm not so sure of what SSDTs, and other stuff to use. My PC specs are:
HP All-in-one AMD Ryzen5-4500U with Radeon Graphics 6core. Motherboard 86F1 (?).
I'm following opencore's guide, but I don't know what is really the problem, as i'm not getting any additional output, just the "prohibited" icon.

Hi guys, I think I need some help on this one - for context, I sold someone a solid Hackintosh in 2021 and he mailed it to me recently to do a lot of updates, and basically a "tune up". His USB ports were inconsistently responding since updating to macOS 15.5, from Ventura 13.7.7, so the main goal was to sort that out while doing other things.
Everything was going great, I was about to consider things all solved and ready to go, but then I did a BIOS update from version 1802, to 2101. It succeeded as normal, and I had to manually set the BIOS settings back to how they were (which also seems fine).
Now I cannot boot into macOS, or macOS Recovery. It always seems to be stopping on AppleCredentialManager, can anyone help me get this booting again? I'm sure I'll figure it out one way or another.

im not sure if this is the place to ask this so sorry if not. I hackintoshed my thinkpad e14 6 months ago, triple booting it with windows and Kali Linux. I was trying to open macos today but all the boot options are just gone now. the only one left is the Windows Boot Manager. is there any way to fix this or do I have to reinstall MacOs?

Hi everyone! Thanks in advance for any help 😃
Trying to install MacOS on my Dell E5550. (5300U w/ Intel graphics).
I made the USB stick using the Windows process, pasted the contents of SkyrilHD's EFI into the root of the drive, modified BIOS. The picker was not showing "Install MacOS" but whenever I press space bar, it would show an icon with a gear and the volume label of the drive and dmg. Whenever I start this icon, the apple logo appears, after a while a progress bar shows up, advances a bit but freezes.
Tried a fresh install both on Sequoia and Monterey
Am I missing something? I much appreciate any help on this

Hello, sonoma here, latest. 14700kf, msi z690 unify, 64gb ddr5 6200. Everything works, open core and latest kexts.
Dual boot with different nvme, 1 for macos with opencore. 1 for win11
I benchmarked both systems. On mac os and win , cinebench single and multicore are the same.
For gou insted, windows use it at 100%, mac os only a 70/80%. In fact cinebench gpu test is 30% lower on mac os.
What could be the problem? It’s obviously not hw related, there is something wrong on software side.
All kexts, bios are updated. Temps are ok.
Any hint? Thank you

I’ve just upgraded from an 8700K, which I used for many years, to a 14900KF paired with a Z790 Aorus Elite AX and a Be Quiet Pure Loop 2 AIO. I’m already running a 6950 XT GPU. Would you consider this a solid upgrade?
Which SMBIOS would you recommend for this setup on Sequoia? Anything I should watch out for besides the Dortania guide?

Hi guys its been a while now but here is a hackintosh that i did within the timeframe that i wasn't active
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-7500U Processor (7th Gen, Kaby Lake) iGPU: Intel® HD Graphics 620 dGPU: NVIDIA GeForce 940MX RAM: SK hynix 8GB DDR4-2133 (1×8GB) Motherboard Chipset: Intel Sunrise Point-LP Audio Codec: Realtek ALC256 Ethernet Card: Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller Wi-Fi/BT Card: Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 Touchpad and touch display devices: I2C Touchpad Keyboard interface: PS/2 BIOS Revision: Dell Inc. v1.15.0

After I took 9 years break from hackintoshing in general I diceded to try it again. (I am going to admit a lot has changed and I was a bit rusty).
What works:
- basically everything
- sleep
- iCloud services, iMessage
Broken:
- WiFi ? (I mean bluetooth works, airdrop works, all handoffs works, wifi does see all the networks around me but for the love of god it refuses to connect to any of them - wifi extension exited error) I think this must be a related hardware issue as the same happens in windows for whatever reason.. Thats what i get for trying to save myself few weeks of shipping and ordering from a random local guy..
PC specs:
Intel Core i5 14400F
Chipset: B760M
AsRock RX6600
WiFi: BCM943602

Hello all. I'm a comp sci major and per the new school semester, I am required(?) to take an Apple development class, which requires Xcode and thus a Mac. I didn't look into my class requirements ahead of time so I'm unable to do any assignments away from the school's lab. Mac devices are insanely overpriced, but I am willing to invest in a Mini if I am unable to somehow turn my laptop into a hackintosh.
After scrolling through the sub for a bit before posting, I see a great number of people throwing in the towel and buying Mac products. What's the reason behind this? And would it prevent me from using my laptop for my coding?
Specs:
Device name MSI
Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H 2.70 GHz
