Post image

Hi guys its been a while now but here is a hackintosh that i did within the timeframe that i wasn't active

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-7500U Processor (7th Gen, Kaby Lake) iGPU: Intel® HD Graphics 620 dGPU: NVIDIA GeForce 940MX RAM: SK hynix 8GB DDR4-2133 (1×8GB) Motherboard Chipset: Intel Sunrise Point-LP Audio Codec: Realtek ALC256 Ethernet Card: Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller Wi-Fi/BT Card: Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 Touchpad and touch display devices: I2C Touchpad Keyboard interface: PS/2 BIOS Revision: Dell Inc. v1.15.0

Working: • Camera • HDMI • Card Reader • 2x USB 3.1 • 1x USB 2.0 • Sleep • Speakers • Microphone • Brightness

Semi-Working: • Wi-Fi (Very Slow Sometimes) • Bluetooth (Fully Works But if the laptop came from a sleep state or woke up from sleep state you gotta wait for 15 mins before it works again • Keyboard (Fully Works But if the laptop came from a sleep state or woke up from sleep state when you try to type your password too early the keyboard will break it self together with the Touchpad • Touchpad (Affected by Keyboard) • Headphone Jack Combo (When i plug a Headset with a microphone the macos doesnt see it as a microphone source it just sees it as a audio source and the microphone just sets to the internal microphone that the laptop has)

Not Working: • Ethernet (I dont know why it doesnt work like i have the Kext for it and its fully up to date and still nothing) • Battery (I dont have a battery installed)

Not Tested: Airdrop (I dont have a iPhone laying around)

guys help me with the Semi-Working and Not-Working Functions of the laptop 🥀

Thanks for posting a success! If you haven't already, remember to document your build please. Success posts like screenshots without documentation add little value to the sub. Adding a bit of documentation to your success post can also help others in the community who are interested in similar builds.

Minimally, you should add your hardware:
CPU:
GPU:
RAM:
Motherboard/Laptop Make and Model:
Audio Codec:
Ethernet Card:
Wifi/BT Card:
Touchpad and touch display devices:
BIOS revision:
Which of the guides on the sidebar you used.
What's working, and what isn't working.

Any changes that were specific to your build that were a little (or a lot) different than what you found in the guide, or anything that would be helpful to others with a similar build be sure to talk about that. More detail is always better.

Add extra info... Maybe add something you would like to point out about your setup, what you'll be doing with your Hackintosh, or something that might be insightful to others beginning their journey. A tree view of your EFI would also be helpful, but it isn't required.

Remember, don't share your EFI as what works for you may not work for anyone else, even if they have the same hardware. If you do share your EFI, your post and/or comment will be removed.
