Mkhitar Hayrapetyan

In 2018, he was assigned minister of diaspora. It was odd because 1) he was young, 2) he is not a diasporan, 3) he has no experience with the diaspora or diasporan organizations. There are people with masters degrees in the Armenian diaspora in Los Angeles, who have great rapport with different orgs. So this was odd.

It turns out he had been participating in foreign “trainings” and going abroad.

At that time he had been working for Hamshen Tours, doing tours to Turkey. This program mostly attracts people from Armenian villages.

When he was questioned, he said “I have been a tour guide for years, so I know how the diaspora thinks” This was very odd to me because the diaspora has a gigantic range of experiences. It sounds narcissistic.

He came to LA and met Zareh Sinanyan as well as the western region diaspora orgs.

Now, there is a definite attack on the ARF and the diaspora (see Arsen torosyans facebook status calling them terrorists, after he participating in terrorizing the entire Armenian population for years).

It feels so clear to me that his appointment was made to spy on the diaspora, which Turkey is so paranoid about, even though the truth is the diaspora is not that active and mostly disengaged.

He moved on to become the minister of technology, which feels like data collection and is quite frankly really creepy. The engineering village sounds a lot like the smart villages being built in surrendered Artsakh, which are created for surveillance a population that wants to be farmers.

His latest post on Instagram is so sickening, vile.

It's not the first or last person in Armenian government that makes us think "how did this person get in this position?"

Our current MOD for example is someone who went to prison for stabbing his commanding officer while serving in the army.

A lot of these appear to have anti-social traits. They are not representing Armenian interests.

Whatever the faults of our current government, they’re a step above the prior morons and anyone who disagrees is either a propagandist or delusional.

Disagree with you here. With all the problems of previous regime, we didn't have such a crisis of national security. I mean there was always question of "if war starts, can we win? Will war start?"

But with Pashinyan administration it has turned into a situation where Pashinyan may raise the Turkish flags in the opera and the discourse will be "is it necessary to avoid war?"

Don’t gaslight us. Get out of my country.
