Up until February of this year, I was never much of a TV guy for the last 40 years outside of sports.
So basically everything I now watch is as a first time viewer. With that said, here's what I'm interested in from the September release. (The M, D, S is just for my own reference.)

Almost Christmas M
Dog Day Afternoon M
Evil Dead II (1987) M
Goodfellas M
Misery M
Pirate Radio M
Prometheus M
Se7en M (I know the ending and think I've seen parts of it so not so sure I'll watch)
Selena (1997) M
Splinter (2008) M
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel M
The Cabin in the Woods M
Veronica Mars M
Friendship M
Warfare M
No End in Sight D
Ruby & Jodi: A Cult of Sin and Influence D
Live Aid: When Rock 'n' Roll Took on the World D
Most Wanted: Teen Hacker D
Seen & Heard: The History Of Black Television D
The Tech Bro Murders D
Who Killed Our Daughter? (Max Original, Mexico) D
Greatest Mysteries Ever, Season 2 D
American Prince: JFK Jr. D
Prime Minister (HBO Original) D
Modern Warfare 2.0, Season 1 S
Task S
Signs of a Psychopath S

Watch Se7en even if you know the ending. It's a masterpiece.

Warfare is 4.5/5 for me and I don’t like war movies at all. I also rarely, watch movies more than once. I’ve seen 20-25k movies and maybe 50 of them more than once.

I watched warfare twice, on back to back nights. Your mileage may vary but I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Seven is worth watching for the experience even with spoilers. It's a mood. The vibe is unlike anything else

I’m waiting for Superman to release before starting Peacemaker

4

u/Spensauras-Rex 4d ago

I’m guessing it’ll be early October

I had heard Gunn got digital for that put out early so people could watch before Peacemaker, but I also read there’s no critical info in the movie that will hinder your enjoyment of Peacemaker.

Dog Day Afternoon was so far ahead of its time. 50 years later it’s more relevant now than ever before.

Looking forward to Friendship

I have been dying to rewatch since the theatre release!

3

u/azarano 3d ago

Same! I'm excited to see it again soon, it was so funny

I feel scared to hype it up as the best comedy I’ve seen in forever because I feel like it’s not everyone’s brand of humour but holy shit did me and the entire theatre lose it like I’ve never experienced before when watching it. I don’t know how much of it was itysl fans or if it translates to the rest of folks.

I had totally the same experience! After the movie ended, someone in my theatre of <15 people was like, how many people are ITYSL fans? And it was everyone. So I'm curious if more people give the movie a shot on streaming

I Think You Should Leave, with Tim Robinson. An excellent and hilarious TV show with a certain sense of humor

Idk even know why I keep HBO they've barely put any good movies on these last couple of months, Selena the only worthwhile movie coming. They keep canceling and removing everything and if the show is renewed its at least a 2 year wait. Waiting for the Derry show and to see what they offer for Halloween before I decide to cancel.
