Seems like a questionable marketing decision. Hopefully nobody in Japan has Google.

what makes it questionable, Mitsubishi made the M38 family for what feels like ever and ran the line from '53 to '98, pounding out hundreds of thousands.

Japan doesn't necessarily need Google, they have a competent public education system.
