Montreal is such a great place to visit. I met some super classy people when I was there a couple times. Not surprised by this gesture from my experience. Even the small hotel we stayed in gave us extra muffins when we were polite to the staff lol

Toffoli himself posted on the players tribune about his love for Montreal basically as soon as he got here, never saw a player fall in love with a new city so quickly. I miss having him on the Habs.

To my fellow fans of struggling teams (hello buffalo) I can strongly recommend San Jose as a second team. They’re still just as disappointing as you’re used to, but they’re waaay happier about it.

honestly, i think the two players who habs fan were most bummed about seeing traded in recent years were toffoli and monahan. a lot of others were divisive or just not that popular but i feel like, when it comes to those two, the pretty unanimous sentiment is between either "yeah that guy was really cool i was sad to see him go" and "man we kinda could use a guy like this on our team now :/". anyway shout out toffoli he looks like such a nice guy i miss him in montreal :(

The Rebuild episode on the Monahan trade was sooo sad because the locker room clearly loved him so much and he’s such a gem :(

but understandable Hughes wanted to keep the promise he made Sean that he would move him to a contender at deadline. I’m glad at least they’re both in places they love where they got some long term security
