What current NHL player will you defend no matter what?

Your emotional support player, if you will. It doesn't even have to be a current player on your favorite team. Just someone you will always support and defend so long as their in the league.

Also, not talking about supporting decisions or the players opinions outside of hockey. Strictly hockey related support!

Ehlers.

Because when the game devolves into chaos he defends the defenseless.

I was already a fan of Ehlers’ game, but when I saw him protecting Evans I was like THAT’S A GOOD EGG RIGHT THERE! I’ve seen him toss the mitts to defend teammates a few times, too, so he isn’t afraid to get a little sandy, either.

If I were putting together a list of guys I wish played for my team, Ehlers would be at the top of the list.

Yeah, sorry man. I’d be bummed too. Been down that road.

Agreed. But fuck Sheifele for that criminally dirty hit.

Honestly, bad hits happen and players I like have thrown dirty hits ( Paul Byron for instance) but he's claiming it was a hockey play and he was trying to prevent the goal turned me off him forever. Own up to your lapse of judgement you coward.

Not only did he not own up to it, remember how he tried to paint himself as the real victim because he took heat for it? He's a complete piece of shit, now and forever. I was so happy when he was snubbed for 4 Nations. It was the best karma especially since most of the games were in Montreal.

I spent the whole summer with a boner that wouldn't go down knowing he had to sit the first game of the next season after sweeping them

Svech for all his penalties, always does this too. He’s had a lot of moments where he abandons play just to check on someone, and I can’t ever be mad about it

Most wholesome player in the league, absolutely devastated to lose him :(
