His third favorite move? Diving at the players skates when he can’t catch up

"awww yeah Burns Slapper... why is it in our zone now"

My least favorite thing in beer league hockey: my teammate launching it outside the net at a bad angle so it goes back to my goal line for a no-icing and I have to gas myself going to retrieve it.

we were more surprised when his slappers didn't end up in our zone

plus he would step in to the clap bombs off the rush, guaranteed 2v1 the other way

They are, aren't they? Looks like the goal is to dodge.

Yep! We do this at the end of practice and the kids have almost as much fun as the coaches! Go fast, try to hide, wait for the coaches to run out of pucks…they all have their own strategies…and miraculously nobody ever gets hit! 🤪🤷🏻♂️

they are, its a common drill you do for fun with kids. Usually we do cones because those are easier to see coming but you can do pucks to as long as the shooters know not to go hard.

Yep. It’s a really fun one. Coached line up on the sides and the players skate end to end trying not to get hit. If they do, they go to the sides and also try to hit the skaters still going.
It’s a good way to get the kids sprinting end to end while also keeping their heads up and alert, not to mention edge control trying to suddenly dodge and shift weight. Then when they’re out, it’s good passing practice.
