I'm not sure how warm you want it but me and the family went fuerteventura in February and it was around 23 degrees but went a little chilly in the evening

3

u/samstyles_12 Jul 27 '25

ye that’s fine 23 as long as we are able to sunbathe in the day an get in and out of the pool without it being cold i’m happy

2

Apparently fuerteventura means ‘strong wind’…. Maybe another canary island would be a teeny bit warmer.

Also… Cape Verde is a great option at that time of year. Apparently it can get to 27 degrees on soke days. Is great for ‘fly and flop’ holidays

Be no pool unless you have a wetsuit or its heated....

1

u/CoatDelicious9289 Jul 31 '25

I went to Fuerteventura in December. Please do not get in the pool unless you know it is heated 🤣

I made the mistake of jumping in and instant regret hit when my 🍆 went inside of me

ahaha noted 😂

Hawaii is warm all year round. Mexico is not warm in the winter.

2

u/Spute2008 Jul 30 '25

what are you talking about? The Gulf of Mexico coast from Cancun to Tulum is fabulous.

1

u/Spute2008 Jul 30 '25

what are you talking about. The Gulf of Mexico coast from Cancun to Tulum is terrific in December January and full of all inclusive resorts

Obviously, the closer you get to the equator, the warmer it will

I understand there are also inclusive resorts in Bahamas and Barbados, and probably Jamaica too

I’ve been to various Canary Islands in February and it’s always been lovely and warm… sunbathing and swimming. Did the TUI Magic all inclusive and they were all super nice.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

ye i looked at a few of them but i think im settling on a tui blue in egypt a little later in the year probably april

The Canary Islands are 21-33 year round and surprisingly not that expensive to get too from the east coast, all the islands are perfect beach vybes

2

u/Physical-Bear2156 Jul 30 '25

Look in the southern hemisphere. Australia, New Zealand and anywhere in South America will be warm because it's their summer. Try Aruba maybe?

2

u/VioletteandPhynn Jul 31 '25

Bali 🌴🏝️⛵️ or French Polynesia

I see you are from UK - Cape Verde or Egypt (depending on your wallet (budget)) could be dencet options also depending for how long and how long are you willingto sit on the flight :D. Egypt is the most affordable option, we personally love Cape Verde in the winter. If you are selecting Cape Verde - then i suggest island Sal - you have direct flights and reasonably affordable options. Boa vista is much calmer island (not much to do out of the resorts) and Sal is more touristic with enough stuff to do. If you go to Egypt there is pleeenty options/ locations to choose from. (Mexico travel time cca 10-13h, Cape verde cca 6-7h, Egypt 5h)

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 31 '25

thanks i think i am leaning towards egypt i went sharm el-sheikh when i was young an would love to go back there

2

u/Puni1977 Jul 31 '25

Good and affordable option ! Ull have plenty of sun and warm weather for sure!

2

u/Wide-Neck8639 Jul 31 '25

Go to Gold Coast bro, fly to Brisbane and book something walkable to the beach

2

u/Cardabella Jul 31 '25

Southern hemisphere and tropics.

2

u/RoiDuNord Jul 31 '25

Canary Islands....

2

u/KT180x Jul 31 '25

Thailand/Indonesia/Vietnam or anywhere else in SE Asia

Canary Islands for something cheaper to get to and closer (assuming you are in the UK which you may not be!)

Mexico / other central America destinations

2

u/samstyles_12 Jul 31 '25

ye i am i in the uk. Can u get a nice relaxing holiday in them places in asia or is that somewhere you would go to do something everyday

2

u/KT180x Jul 31 '25

I mean, Thailand is known for its beaches and islands. You don't have to do anything except sunbathe, swim, eat and drink if you don't want to! I have been 10-15 times and sometimes done activities or cultural stuff, and other times just sat on the beach for a week at a time. Can't think of many places I'd rather relax to be honest!

Haven't been to Indonesia but you can certainly have a nice relaxing holiday there from what I've seen / people I know.

2

u/samstyles_12 Jul 31 '25

thanks sounds really good

2

u/KT180x Jul 31 '25

Also, while you'll spend more on flights than the canary Islands, you'll spend less when you're there. Its not as cheap as it used to be but still much cheaper than western/northern European prices.

2

u/samdvf Jul 31 '25

Tenerife. It's the middle of their winter but still summer weather by all other measures. My dad lives there!

2

u/roxxyR Jul 31 '25

Canary Islands usually about 18-22 around that time but chance it will be cloudy and chilly at night

1

u/Dr_Vonny Jul 27 '25

Anywhere in the tropics

1

u/piezomagnetism Jul 27 '25

Cape Verde, if you don't mind the longer travel.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 27 '25

ye i’ve heard it’s nice there is it pricey tho looking to spend around 1500-1800 pp

1

u/piezomagnetism Jul 27 '25

Yeah it costs a bit more but it's beautiful. But maybe Aruba, Bonaire or Curaçao are a bit more affordable then? Even from Europe (I don't know where you live).

2

u/samstyles_12 Jul 27 '25

i like in the uk but i will have a look at them thank you

1

u/AussieKoala-2795 Jul 30 '25

Australia. January is peak summer here.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

would love to but probably way too out of my price range

1

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

Ok so I HAD to look up prices for planetickets from London to Sydney and I found tickets for 'only' 1100eu pp (which is 950gbp) . I thought it was 5k or something! Damn, might consider traveling there myself lol!

Edit: I chose middle of january as dates

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

still a lot of money just for flights like would defo do it when i’m older tho

1

u/Mother-Plant-684 Jul 30 '25

New Zealand is the height of summer Jan and Feb. Any kind of holiday you want, great beaches or great tramping

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

i’d assume the flights r just gonna cost too much with me being in the uk

1

u/Mother-Plant-684 Jul 30 '25

Might be cheaper than you think, but depends if you want to lie on a boring beach for 10 days then you'll find something closer

2

u/thatscotbird Jul 30 '25

Why so rude lmao? I don’t think there would be much better lying on a “boring beach” in January, the longest year of the year in the U.K.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

ahaha fully

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

don’t think there is anytbing wrong with that i’m wanting to go away to relax im more than happy to go to an all inclusive hotel an not move a muscle apart from walking to the bar and restaurant for a week

1

u/Mother-Plant-684 Jul 30 '25

Didn't mean it to be rude , but not much else to do if lying on a beach for a holiday

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

no it’s sound but it’s kinda the point for me i can go to party places or cities or whatever but sometimes it’s boss to do fuck all

1

u/Dry-Courage6664 Jul 30 '25

Curaçao is nice and warm.

1

u/ZestycloseAd5918 Jul 30 '25

Curaçao is one of my favorite places I’ve ever been. Much better than Aruba, which felt like Miami Beach

1

u/WeeRower Jul 30 '25

Caribbean

1

u/ZestycloseAd5918 Jul 30 '25

I would go to Jamaica, or Dominican

1

u/tedlovesme Jul 30 '25

Thailand

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

i was looking for more of a relaxing holiday just on the beach really is that something u can do in thailand?

2

u/georgixx Jul 30 '25

Yes. The south of Thailand is full of islands with some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lipe, Koh Samui. Flights can be expensive but Thailand itself is extremely cheap

1

u/tedlovesme Jul 30 '25

Lol. No it's not got any beaches 🙄

1

u/MyrddnOz Jul 30 '25

Where are. You travelling from? How far do you want to go?

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

i’m in the uk happy to travel anywhere as long as it’s in budget looking to spend no more than 1700pp

1

u/amanda30uk Jul 30 '25

Any of the canary islands will be nice in January and Feb.

1

u/Knowledge-Brilliant Jul 30 '25

South Africa will be very warm. Prices are jacked up around Christmas, but after about 13/14 January the prices fall steeply. Cape Town is where many people go, but I'd go just north of Durban (Ballito is a wealthy, safe area with lots to do) to get proper bang for your buck.

I grew up in Durban but have lived in the UK for 20 years. I go back periodically.

1

u/Weak_Top_3464 Jul 30 '25

The Canary Islands are still warm at that time of year, 4 hour flight time & you can lie on the beach or explore, they have something for everyone. That would be my bet, also what a lovely thing to do for her, she is going to love it wherever you go.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

thank you i’ve actually found somewhere in egypt later in the year around april it looks so nice 5 star hotel 24 hour all inclusive swim up room 5 restaurants on top of ur normal one there is loads to it it looks amazing

2

u/Weak_Top_3464 Jul 30 '25

Lovely, some of those places out there look like the Maldives, have fun.

1

u/SuperlativeLTD Jul 30 '25

Thailand, Dubai, Goa, Bali are all nice at Christmas. We were in Vietnam last Christmas and it was lovely weather. In a big country check the weather for the exact resort you are thinking of booking.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

do u actually stay over christmas if u did what was that like ive never been away from home at christmas

1

u/SuperlativeLTD Jul 30 '25

Yes we are often away at Christmas. Usually there will be a special meal at a Western resort or restaurant. We do instead of loads of presents and my kids are happy.

1

u/Active-Hotel1719 Jul 30 '25

Canary Islands

1

u/busylilmissy Jul 30 '25

Agadir, Morocco. You should be able to get a fairly decent price on a flight there from the UK.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

Egypt - sharm el sheikh is very warm.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

i’ve found a hotel there that looks amazing i think i’m going to go with it

1

u/[deleted] Jul 30 '25

My mum goes every year. She really loves it lol. True Brit. I’ve also been a couple of times. Very beautiful. We went for Christmas once. It was so gorg.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 30 '25

i went once when i was like 9 from what i can remember it was really nice i found this place tui blue sensetori coral sea it looks amazing

1

u/LegsElevenses Jul 30 '25

Australia 🇦🇺

1

u/unlocklink Jul 30 '25

Warmest places in January close to the UK would be the canaries, some parts of Portugal, Morocco or Malta.

In all of those places you need to make sure you look for somewhere with a heated pool, because many of them won't be...and the water doesn't warm up the same way as it does in the summer months - as it's often quite chilly in the evening or overnight.

It may well also not feel warm enough for the beach

1

u/PerspectiveOnly5429 Jul 30 '25

Thailand or somewhere in South east Asia, even with the flight prices...accomdation and food is WAY cheaper than Europe.

1

u/pinkason5 Jul 30 '25

Anywhere from latitude 20 north and southern. The southern hemisphere is on summer in January. So from the uk you can go to Africa. Or central and southern America etc. Just find a good deal and make sure the country is safe....

1

u/georgixx Jul 30 '25

Thailand!!!

1

u/Chuckitinbro Jul 30 '25

Will be expensive but NZ is very nice at that time.

Australia as well may be cheaper at least flight wise.

1

u/DepartmentMajestic77 Jul 31 '25

Go to Cairns. Burn ya eyes out in Jan.

1

u/T0urnad0 Jul 31 '25

East coast of Kenya? Absolutely stunning and although flights are more expensive, once you’re there it isn’t. Probably feasible within your budget

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 31 '25

is that somewhere u would go for a relaxing holiday like just going from the hotel to the beach an nothing else really

2

u/T0urnad0 Jul 31 '25

Absolutely. There are some amazing resorts on the coast. It’s the Indian Ocean so stunning white sand, turquoise water etc.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 31 '25

that sounds boss thanks

1

u/MiddleAgedStaffs Jul 31 '25

Have a look at Cape Town, their currency exchange means beers and food are about 1/2 UK prices, hotels great, beaches amazing, and the V&A waterfront is perfect for a late night drink and meal.

1

u/samstyles_12 Jul 31 '25

is it safe there?

1

u/MiddleAgedStaffs Jul 31 '25

Absolutely, it’s lovely…

1

u/Immediate_Mud_2858 Jul 31 '25

Canary Islands, Cyprus, Malta, Portugal, Málaga.

1

u/knightriderin Jul 31 '25

That's peak season in Thailand.
