Looking to start (green)

Hi guys the green In the UK is around £80 pounds plus I need a dongle for around 30:. Is this the best way for me as a beginner. If it's cheaper to use a mini pc could you provide me links and costs at all . Would be really helpful. I'm comfortable using YouTube to install any os I need if I have too

a green is a great place to start. you could pick up an old 2nd hand thin client type machine too if you want to try and do stuff really cheap. but they will be less power efficient and such.

The problem I have is when I start I know it will become a new addiction. I'm worrying about future proofing is all

if you want something with a little more power that will future proof you then my go to recomendation at the moment would be a "Beelink S13" https://www.amazon.co.uk/Beelink-MINI-S13-Lake-N150-Processor-Computer/dp/B0DPJ1DTQM but thats gunna be double the cost of a green on the outset.
