QUESTION Put hood range controls on a switch?

Just bought a house that has the hood range mounted 6ft high because of a cutout in the wall. It's a stretch for either of us to reach the buttons on the hood range and we'd like to figure out some way to create a wall switch lower down the wall to control it. First: what's the simplest way to accomplish this? Second: are there any ways to make it a smart set up where we voice control it (i.e. 'Siri, turn on the hood range')? Picture showing the buttons of the range as well as the wiring diagram.

honestly you could just hook up relays in paralel for the hood

I have aliexpress Zigbee 4ch relays and you can power them safely from 12v, use the relays to open and close the switches without interfering. There is a mode to have only one closed at a time, one momentary independent and one latching independently

This is why I got the zephyr cyclone. Analog switches.

The hood can get very hot so I was carful. I bought silicone cabling and tapped all of the motor and switch connections and pulled them through a hole to the top cabinet above so my electronics could stay cool. I use a esp32 8 channel really board from kincrony. I only need 5 channels (light high and low, fan low med and high).

The rely board is flashed with esphome and has on device replication of all the original switch functions but the also allows controlling them from home assistant.

I have an air quality sensor elsewhere and an automation which cycles the fan on and off as needed. I can still use manual control. On note, with this automation when the outside air quality becomes unhealthy the range hood would kick in. To prevent that I have a “baseline “ sensor in my basement and the automation only runs when the kitchen air is unhealthy by greater than a set margin from the basement.

Possibly with shelly relays? Not sure if there would be enough room inside the hood

Be careful, rang hoods can get very hot and parts might melt if not rated for those conditions.
