Do not buy eufy security camera

Bought a eufy s220, turns out it does not work at all. Worst camera I ever bought. No video saving to NAS, only if you buy their expensive home base, and even cloud backup requires a home base.

No third party protocol supported, phone app tries to force you quit video stream every minute by poping a video claim “this consume the battery fast”, desktop web view crashes randomly. And there is no desktop app

The camera just do not work, there no way to stably record a video stream unless you spend $$$$ on this company

Seems like you bought a camera without researching its features vs your desires? I've had Eufy cameras for over 3 years without major issues, but I wanted easy to install battery cams without a subscription model. If extensive recording and long term playback were a priority, I'd have gone with a wired system like Reolink.

This was your fault. What did you expect from a consumer battery camera?

Of course. That's not a professional equipment but standard consumer smart camera.

Any recommendations for professional equipment?

I’d like a ubiquiti network and camera system but the cost is ridiculous.

Reolink is decent for a budget brand

Look for Axis, Bosch, Mobotix, Ajax

My Cove system is garbage with the Eufy cameras. Cameras don't charge and always having connection issues. Cove is for people who don't know what a real security system is like.

I have this solar cam. its only runs on 2.4g you need to change the router to run a lower (older) wifi.

also the solar is only good for about 1-2 hours after sun stops hitting it. I did add a micro sd card so it does save some videos. (playback works)

otherwise its fine. (LOL) (very happy with Reolink)
