My house has artex textured ceilings. How hard would it be to just.. remove the ceiling?

Forgive me, I am very green to home renovation. I’m curious what the process is to “reveal” your beams, or if it is even possible in every home.

Google “how to remove an Artex ceiling” and you’ll see it’s not that difficult.

I know how to remove artex, but I have always loved exposed beams and I’m wondering if it is an option.

Remove a portion and see if you like it. You can always cover it back up if it does not please you.
