I think the long bank of them on the wall should be painted the wall color and the kitchen cabinets a different color. I like the light sage color....really makes it look fresh.

I would totally paint those cabinets. As for colour, that is a personal taste thing really. A darker colour is fine if there is a lot of natural light.

What AI tool do you use for this?

Unpopular opinion, I like the wood look, painting it makes it feel like a hospital.

I like the wood look too. Would love to have cabinets like this, so warm and homey! Personally I would leave as is and change the floor to something lighter with a warm undertone.

See i do like wood too. Thats why im stuck. But painting would make the house more modernized too. Im leaving a wood banister and staircase the natural wood that would contrast the cabinets when painted.

You could also stain these. I had a similar kitchen and we painted them. They turned out great.

If it were me I might take the doors off the upper cabinets and have open shelving. That would feel lighter and modern but not as big of a commitment as painting cabinets. I’m just thinking of how hard it would be to strip paint from the crevices if you change your mind. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Have you looked into a gel stain? you can keep the wood look but bring to more of an espresso color.

I love the darker green.

The darker green may help hide imperfections better if you’re using it as a rental. As long as there is plenty of natural light, the darker color with lighter/contrasting hardware is very in-fashion these days

Since they are already stained, you would have to completely strip them before you can paint them. Not worth the work. Probably paint other stuff in the room to create a color scheme that works with the cabinet stain.

I might pull the doors off, strip the face frame, and paint that to make it pop. It would add some nice variation in a very monotone slab of brown.

We did a similar thing to ours. Just make sure you use really really good primer. I suggest taking every door off and getting at least two coats in both the frame and the doors before you get the color on. Get all the hardware off too so no spot is missed. Then, once the color is on, coat it all with sealer
