How many times must I watch this poor man get his gold earrings ripped right out of his ear

444

u/J-nathan 16d ago

You know that’s gotta hurt. They even stole his mic & nearly choked him out with his own chain.🤦‍♂️

123

u/Beneficial_Size6913 16d ago

Yeah I saw a girl get her earring ripped out in a schoolyard fight in the 7th grade and this video always reminds me of it

23

u/eidetic 16d ago

Someone in my middle school gym class got their earring ripped out when it got snagged on a mat during high jumps. So very much blood. Surprisingly though, while he was definitely in a lot of pain, it almost seemed like it hurt less than I at least would have expected. Maybe the pain came a little later though, because he was quickly whisked to the gym teacher's office then the nurse's office.

3

u/UnitedAttitude566 15d ago

To be fair, he started it by talking into the mic

92

u/hovdeisfunny 16d ago

The mods said it's my turn to post this tomorrow

-8

u/Renent 16d ago

Her der you made a funny that has already been made 1000x times.

703

u/thejevster 16d ago

It's actually kinda crazy how many people had the same idea immediately. It's almost as if someone should've told him that stage diving in this state/country/wherever this is, is a bad idea.

301

u/Secuter 16d ago

Probably somewhere in Africa. But yes, know your audience. For instance, that sort of violence would (likely) not have happened in... well, most places. But find a place poor enough that doesn't give a shit and you will.

-312

u/usernameisokay_ 16d ago edited 16d ago

So don’t do it in the United States of America either, on the same if not worse level.

Edit: 3rd world country people getting mad over this comment and threat being me in DM’s? Good I don’t live nor go to bad places.

u/CL0ver4Leaf 16d ago

I've been to many concerts in American, like dozens, none would ever do that to the performer.

37

u/lsb1027 15d ago

With how expensive concerts in America are these days, if someone can afford to pay front row in a concert probably they don’t need to rob the performer for money

-32

u/ThatPatelGuy 16d ago

Yes I've been to hundreds of Taylor Swift concerts and this has never happened

14

u/cremaster304 15d ago

There is a very distinct difference between the crowd at a swift concert and this crowd.

-32

u/buford419 16d ago

63

u/CL0ver4Leaf 16d ago

Lol a $24 million dollar diamond vs $500 ear rings... plus the fan got beat up and he got his diamond back. So yea kind of ig but not really.

-40

u/someLemonz 16d ago

to be fair, exactly what you said would "never happen" happened and now you want to throw $ limits?? you were wrong

9

u/LuquidThunderPlus 15d ago

Why in hell would you expect no price limit as if that doesn't change the severity??

9

u/CL0ver4Leaf 16d ago

Nah G 😘

-23

u/usernameisokay_ 16d ago

For instance, that sort of violence would (likely) not have happened in... well, most places. But find a place poor enough that doesn't give a shit and you will.

0

u/Xenomorph_25 4d ago

You're saying that this would never happen in America, but it has on many well known occasions. A$AP Rocky being one of them:

69

u/Secuter 16d ago

Let's be honest. That's very likely not what would happen in the USA. The social fabric is too strong whereas it barely exist in some countries in Africa.

-20

u/ThatPatelGuy 16d ago

There are absolutely areas of the US where this would happen especially if it were a free concert.

14

u/SushiGato 16d ago

Like where?

8

u/ion128 16d ago

Wale SXSW 2012 Austin, Tx. I was at this show and found it funny that he framed this as some sort of 'moment of clarity'. I was wondering why he was getting rid of all his valuables. Right up until he jumped into the crowd.

When he did join everyone on the floor I realized why. He had been through this before and knows what people are capable of.

-50

u/NinjaWrapper 16d ago

Have you ever seen a Black Friday midnight opening? Are we referring to the same USA? The one where people have died in concert stampedes? The one where concerts get mass shootings? The one where over half of voters went against their own interests in order to hurt other Americans? The same America that had slavery, Japanese internment camps, and now alligator Alcatraz? Maybe there's some other USA in Scandinavia that I'm unaware of.

24

u/eidetic 16d ago

This is such a ridiculously dumb comment.

Yes, people go crazy for black friday sales. Yes, we had slavery, internment camps, essentially exterminated the native population and forced the survivors to horrible reservations, and have committed all sorts of atrocities.

None of that means a performer at a concert would have their earrings ripped out at a concert. I'm not saying it is impossible, but rather that using those examples as proof is about ridiculous as you can get.

-31

u/Relative-Ganache-824 16d ago

Nothing but the truth, of course they will downvote cause 'murica best

22

u/eidetic 16d ago

Yes, everything they said is true. However it is a ridiculous jump to use it as proof that a performer would get their earrings ripped out at a concert. That's what the downvotes likely are for. They aren't because "Murica is best!", but rather trying to shoehorn America's unsavory history in the topic when it isn't relevant to the current topic. Essentially, it's at least borderline - if not outright - whataboutism.

1

u/InevitableAd2436 15d ago

I want to agree with you, but I think they would if they weren’t insulated with security.

Axl Rose jumping in the crowd to fight fans was cinema though

-18

u/Relative-Ganache-824 16d ago

☝️🤓

6

u/LuquidThunderPlus 15d ago

You don't seem to understand how conversations work so I'll explain it real quick for you.

Usually when ppl converse over something and someone makes a statement the other party disagrees with, they will convey whatever information they know so as to spread knowledge and help said person to not look like a fool moving forward.

Stop being a fool bro

-4

u/Relative-Ganache-824 15d ago

I don't particularly care to be honest mate, Its reddit, I'm not exactly coming here for social interactions.

Yeah, wtf? He hit the nail on every point.

8

u/Firewolf06 15d ago

everything they said was just irrelevant whataboutism. yes, each individual statement was true, but thats a low bar

-31

u/usernameisokay_ 16d ago

I’ve seen and had a lot better experiences in whole of Africa a I’ve had in the 8 months I’ve toured in the USA.

Robberies, murders, straight up junkies talking bad to you? Yes it happened in Africa but compared to the USA? Yikes.

I can leave my phone unattended in quite a lot of busy places in Africa for a while and in the USA it’s gone in under a minute.

Get off your high horse.

4

u/Firewolf06 15d ago

africas a pretty fuckin big place, my friend

-1

u/usernameisokay_ 15d ago

Yes, so is the USA and been to many countries in Africa, felt safer in most places compared to any place in the USA.

10

u/MoodyEngineer 16d ago

You’re hilarious 😂! Go take a break from the internet. I need one sometimes too

3

u/TattedDLuffy 13d ago

Literally watched Juicy J throw a $20,000 chain into a crowd and they gave it back….. in Mississippi

-2

u/usernameisokay_ 13d ago

Do that 100 times and 99 times you won’t get it back. It’s a terrible country, literally the worst out of all I’ve been and I’ve been to countries that are in a war or war torn. Only ons that topped it were Jamaica and Haiti.

4

u/TattedDLuffy 13d ago

Lmaooooo ok bro. Whatever makes you feel better.

1

u/Mayonaze-Supreme 15d ago

Wasn’t aware America was unaligned with NATO or the Warsaw Pact.

11

u/KentuckyFriedEel 15d ago

When you're poor and somebody is waving gold and diamonds in front of you, for the taking, you're ALL gonna have the same ass idea.

4

u/pigeonwiggle 13d ago

wouldn't be a problem if people didn't celebrate gold and diamonds.

270

u/tiktock34 16d ago

Wait till they find out its all cubic zirconia and fake platinum

-24

u/TheFamilyMafia 16d ago

That's ok, they will just eat it at that point

208

u/0krizia 16d ago

They are willing to choke him to death for the necklace

1

I do think he's gonna need some actual ice on his neck now though

67

u/Rbkelley1 16d ago

Looks like a scene from the walking dead

39

u/LeBronze_Jayce 16d ago

The irony of "ice on my neck" playing in the background fucking gets me everytime this is posted

12

u/BadKittyVortex 16d ago

He's going to need some ice on his neck from the look of things.

17

u/Feeling-Ad-2867 16d ago

Welp his wallet is gone.

184

u/Sang1915 16d ago

Why are they so uncivilized?

137

u/Secuter 16d ago

Don't know why you're being down voted. He was almost choked to death for his jewelry at a concert. If that isn't uncivilized I don't know what is.

20

u/distorted_kiwi 16d ago

Well, the end goal wasn’t to choke the man. It was to snap the necklace and steal it. The end result though was choking man in broad daylight.

52

u/infiniZii 16d ago

They weren’t raised right.

21

u/Perca_fluviatilis 15d ago

Poverty.

-3

u/cremaster304 11d ago

Poverty is the result of being uncivilized

40

u/koolaidismything 16d ago

Towards the end he’s pretty much unconscious lol holy shit. Choked him out. Aaaawkward.

10

u/Falcon_Alpha_Delta 16d ago

Crowd knows he’s allergic to fake jewelry. They’re just tryin to help him

34

u/Wonderland-Of-Alice 16d ago

Wtf is going on?

93

u/throwitoutwhendone2 16d ago

He dove in with a bunch of jewelry and the crowds ripping it off him

39

u/ThatPatelGuy 16d ago

They think he has gold in his head

9

u/adognameddanzig 16d ago

8

My guy with the red shirt went for the kill

8

u/OrbitingCastle 16d ago

The zombie horde got him.

8

u/LGL27 15d ago

Imagine finding out your fans are absolute horrible people

6

u/Warfyr84 15d ago

Imagine being surprised that the people who enjoy listening to you sing about committing multiple felons are in fact not the best buds you thought they would be.

1

u/1Oaktree 1d ago

They deserve each other.

24

u/SnooSongs2345 16d ago

Did they tried to get his eyes for lucky charms or something?

30

u/ThatPatelGuy 16d ago

They think he has gold in his head

4

3

u/RUSTYxPOTATO 15d ago

Wait so do they like him or hate him? Lol

7

u/OmegaPegasus 16d ago

I remember when I was a kid, one of my friends tossed a junebug onto and anthill and we watched as the ants swarmed it. This reminds me of that
