It's actually kinda crazy how many people had the same idea immediately. It's almost as if someone should've told him that stage diving in this state/country/wherever this is, is a bad idea.

u/Secuter 16d ago
Probably somewhere in Africa. But yes, know your audience. For instance, that sort of violence would (likely) not have happened in... well, most places. But find a place poor enough that doesn't give a shit and you will.

So don’t do it in the United States of America either, on the same if not worse level.
Edit: 3rd world country people getting mad over this comment and threat being me in DM’s? Good I don’t live nor go to bad places.

I've been to many concerts in American, like dozens, none would ever do that to the performer.

u/ThatPatelGuy 16d ago
Yes I've been to hundreds of Taylor Swift concerts and this has never happened
14
u/cremaster304 15d ago
There is a very distinct difference between the crowd at a swift concert and this crowd.

Lol a $24 million dollar diamond vs $500 ear rings... plus the fan got beat up and he got his diamond back. So yea kind of ig but not really.
-40
u/someLemonz 16d ago
to be fair, exactly what you said would "never happen" happened and now you want to throw $ limits?? you were wrong
9
u/LuquidThunderPlus 15d ago
Why in hell would you expect no price limit as if that doesn't change the severity??

Let's be honest. That's very likely not what would happen in the USA. The social fabric is too strong whereas it barely exist in some countries in Africa.
-20
u/ThatPatelGuy 16d ago
There are absolutely areas of the US where this would happen especially if it were a free concert.
14
u/SushiGato 16d ago
Like where?

u/ion128 16d ago
Wale SXSW 2012 Austin, Tx. I was at this show and found it funny that he framed this as some sort of 'moment of clarity'. I was wondering why he was getting rid of all his valuables. Right up until he jumped into the crowd.
When he did join everyone on the floor I realized why. He had been through this before and knows what people are capable of.

u/NinjaWrapper 16d ago
Have you ever seen a Black Friday midnight opening? Are we referring to the same USA? The one where people have died in concert stampedes? The one where concerts get mass shootings? The one where over half of voters went against their own interests in order to hurt other Americans? The same America that had slavery, Japanese internment camps, and now alligator Alcatraz? Maybe there's some other USA in Scandinavia that I'm unaware of.
24
u/eidetic 16d ago
This is such a ridiculously dumb comment.
Yes, people go crazy for black friday sales. Yes, we had slavery, internment camps, essentially exterminated the native population and forced the survivors to horrible reservations, and have committed all sorts of atrocities.
None of that means a performer at a concert would have their earrings ripped out at a concert. I'm not saying it is impossible, but rather that using those examples as proof is about ridiculous as you can get.
-31
u/Relative-Ganache-824 16d ago
Nothing but the truth, of course they will downvote cause 'murica best
22
u/eidetic 16d ago
Yes, everything they said is true. However it is a ridiculous jump to use it as proof that a performer would get their earrings ripped out at a concert. That's what the downvotes likely are for. They aren't because "Murica is best!", but rather trying to shoehorn America's unsavory history in the topic when it isn't relevant to the current topic. Essentially, it's at least borderline - if not outright - whataboutism.

u/InevitableAd2436 15d ago
I want to agree with you, but I think they would if they weren’t insulated with security.
Axl Rose jumping in the crowd to fight fans was cinema though

You don't seem to understand how conversations work so I'll explain it real quick for you.
Usually when ppl converse over something and someone makes a statement the other party disagrees with, they will convey whatever information they know so as to spread knowledge and help said person to not look like a fool moving forward.
Stop being a fool bro

I’ve seen and had a lot better experiences in whole of Africa a I’ve had in the 8 months I’ve toured in the USA.
Robberies, murders, straight up junkies talking bad to you? Yes it happened in Africa but compared to the USA? Yikes.
I can leave my phone unattended in quite a lot of busy places in Africa for a while and in the USA it’s gone in under a minute.
Get off your high horse.

Literally watched Juicy J throw a $20,000 chain into a crowd and they gave it back….. in Mississippi
-2
u/usernameisokay_ 13d ago
Do that 100 times and 99 times you won’t get it back. It’s a terrible country, literally the worst out of all I’ve been and I’ve been to countries that are in a war or war torn. Only ons that topped it were Jamaica and Haiti.

u/Secuter 16d ago
Don't know why you're being down voted. He was almost choked to death for his jewelry at a concert. If that isn't uncivilized I don't know what is.
20
u/distorted_kiwi 16d ago
Well, the end goal wasn’t to choke the man. It was to snap the necklace and steal it. The end result though was choking man in broad daylight.
