3rd/Final interview w/SVP
I have a third/final round with a great place next week. Great role, people, company, remote. Understanding it’s a meeting for culture fit, and I’ve researched the SVP thoroughly to prepare.
What question types should I expect from a 45-minute interview with an SVP?

Expect questions about how you'd handle complex business challenges, your approach to driving results under pressure, and scenarios where you've influenced outcomes beyond your direct control. They'll likely probe your understanding of the company's market position and ask how you'd contribute to broader organizational goals. Questions about difficult decisions you've made, how you handle ambiguity, and your thoughts on industry trends are common at this level.
The SVP is also evaluating whether you can operate at their altitude and represent the company well internally and externally. They might ask about times you've had to pivot strategies, how you build consensus across different stakeholders, or what you'd do in your first 90 days. Since this is the final round, they're essentially asking themselves if they'd be comfortable having you in important client meetings or strategic discussions. The key is demonstrating executive presence and showing you can think beyond just executing tasks to actually shaping direction.
I'm on the team that built interview questions AI, and it's designed exactly for situations like this where you need to nail those high-stakes strategic questions that can make or break a final round.

For a 45-min culture fit interview with an SVP, expect questions probing your alignment with company values and your adaptability to remote work. They'll likely ask about your previous work culture experience, handling conflicts, and maybe situational questions like, "How would you react to..." scenarios. Brush up on the company’s mission and be ready to discuss your personal values and experiences that reflect their culture. Lastly, have a few insightful questions ready for them; it shows genuine interest.
