Offer release delay in a Global Company
Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask for some perspective on my current hiring situation. • I completed my final interview on July 31st and felt it went well. • On August 8th, I received an automated rejection email through Workday. • On August 21st, the recruiter called me and said the rejection was a mistake. They gave me a verbal confirmation that I was selected for the role but explained that the official offer letter is delayed due to regional legal approvals. • Later that same day, I received another automated Workday email showing a new requisition ID with the status “Offer in Progress”, which the recruiter explained was because they had to create a new requisition to move me forward. • The recruiter also mentioned that they will release my offer as soon as the next batch of approvals comes through and that if the current region’s approval doesn’t work out, they would try to fit my profile into other regions instead. • Since then, the recruiter has reassured me multiple times that the offer is real, that I shouldn’t worry, and that approvals are just taking time. They asked me to check in weekly. • Today is August 29th, and I still haven’t received the official offer letter.
Has anyone else experienced a situation where: • A verbal offer was given but the official letter was delayed for “legal/approval” reasons? • Recruiter reassurances and Workday emails seemed misaligned?
How long can such delays usually take, and at what point should I start getting concerned or looking elsewhere more actively?
Any advice from people who’ve been through this would really help.
Thanks!

Large companies take awhile for approval process. Sometimes it takes multiple people to sign off on it.
Have you also reached out to the hiring manager and see what they say ?
My recommendation is to apply to other companies while waiting for this offer to come in.
