Why do they do this?
Why do hiring managers and hr people say they’ll give you an answer by X day and almost never meet this deadline? It only creates expectations and restlessness.
PS: I’m at the final stage of a super long hiring process and the head of people said I’m a finalist and would give my an answer by Thursday (yesterday) or today… Any advice?

Because my organization is very disorganized and it annoys me lol. What should be a 72 hour process becomes a week long or two because the department im hiring for has a supervisor that's absolutely clueless or just outright indecisive which seems terrible for a leadership role.
Im not sure about your situation but thats my situation lol
