Discussion How do I downgrade a 2016 iPhone SE?

I have this 128gb iPhone SE 2016 on iOS 15, the battery isn't lasting long (health is at 84%) I wanted to go back to an old version of iOS. How to do it? Does a downgrade that can boot the cell phone without a computer, without complications already exist?

unless you have blobs it'll be a tethered downgrade with a PC. you got turdus merula at sep.lol if you're fine with that

What are blobs? I didn't want it to depend on a computer

If you don’t know what blobs are then it’s pretty certain you won’t have them (and it’s no longer possible to get them for older versions so don’t worry about them).

Can I get it from another cell phone?

Unfortunately not because blobs are unique to each device, and are only obtainable for versions of iOS that are still being signed.

It is possible to still save blobs for current versions, but they’re basically useless now. If you want to start saving blobs though (because some people still do), then you can do so with Blobsaver by airsquared, but you’ll need a computer.

If you don't know you almost certainly don't have them. Think of them as "tickets" that allow you to downgrade to an older iOS version that Apple don't currently sign.

You can't get them, you had to have gotten them while you were on that version of iOS

Put a Flux Capacitor in your nearest Delorian and get it to 88 Mph.

Just downgrade tethered at sep.lol not a big deal tethered in my opinion just avoid restarts and battery flat

Too Bad, Install Linux on dualboot on your PC or hackintosh.

sorry, you must not have been a member for as long as I have in this community. This was a really funny post that was circulating for months when it was written up. Try a search for "fuck is a blob" on the sub and educate yourself...ffs

You can downgrade to any iOS version tethered using terdus merula. All the way back to iOS 9. But u need a mac to do it. Requires a computer to boot into downgraded iOS everytime your battery dies or u turn it off.

doesnt ios 9 have some issues where you cant activate the phone?

iPhone 6s and 6s plus have those issues. May be SE too. But why not give it a shot? Some 6s models activate randomly even on iOS 9.
