Do I have a chance?
Been in this hiring process for over a month for a position at a super cool company. Offer is great, responsibilities are aligned with my goals and experiences, benefits are awesome too. Passed the first interview with the hr person - moved forward to the interview with the hiring manager - was selected to go through an assessment - one more call with the manager to explain my assessment presentation - and now they finally reached out to me to saying exactly this “the hiring manager would like you to meet the head of people, we know this is an additional step but for us it’s really important to choose the right person for the role”.
So of course I accepted it and took the interview with the head of people. To my mind, it was awesome. I was calm and gave him clear and strategic answers that showed how much I was ready for this role and my expectations for growing inside the company. They said they’d give me an answer by today (didn’t get any so far) or tomorrow.
Anyway, what do you think? Do I have a good chance? Would they move me so forward in this process If they didn’t mean to hire me?

You absolutely have a chance! Nobody gets dragged through that many rounds unless they’re seriously considering you. Meeting the Head of People is usually more of a culture-fit check than a dealbreaker, and the fact they even want their top leadership to see you is a strong sign.
Delays on “we’ll let you know today/tomorrow” are super normal — hiring teams juggle calendars, approvals, sometimes even budget convos. Radio silence doesn’t equal bad news.
If anything, you’ve cleared all the hardest gates. At this point it’s basically down to a yes or a “we’re still aligning internally.” Rooting for you hard, and honestly, I’d be surprised if you didn’t get it.
