Is it ok to call?

So, I interviewed for a part time job, and I was told I would have to wait about 2 weeks because the manager was going on vacation. I texted a week and a half after and was told I would be updated friday at 11. I assumed it was today, because the manager sent it to me on wednesday of this week. Should I call tomorrow? I really cant afford to keep waiting and i desperately want and need this job. To call or not to call?

Im in the beginning of a masters degree and this job is amazing for pay, scheduling, and its still in my field without being the exact thing i go to school for. Its literally perfect, and I really need good advice. I do have the experience for it, and I was told I would be one of the contenders and I feel the interveiw went really well too. I just want to be the right amount of pushy and not overdo it.

After two weeks, I would call. What’s the worst they can say?

I guess it was more of a should I call tomorrow or would it be better to give it another day and call Sunday? For this place I was told Sundays are pretty much the slowest days. Or would it be best to wait until a Tuesday. That kinda thing. Like when do i call? And i now realize after the panic post that i was very much not asking that question.

I’m sorry, I didn’t understand. I’d go by if it’s a restaurant? On the slow day. You will have better success in person imo

Its a music school, for after normal school hours and on weekends that offers lessons. And the slowest day is Sunday. My biggest thing is i already made plans to travel home over the weekend as im not sure of the next chance I will get to see my family. So, showing up in person wont exactly be possible until later in the week, which is why I planned to call rather than text or go in person. (I was never contacted over email, or given an email to contact them, so that is not an option.)

Then call , I am sure it’s not a problem to call. You can open the conversation that because you are very interested in the opportunity, you surmised that Sunday might be the best day to call. Good luck 🍀 think positive
