Agree. Confirm you are terminated in writing as they can easily turn it around and have you as a quit if you don't continue to ask about shifts. Since they never stated you were terminated.

So much vagueness. "No shifts at this time", "last paycheck" could be interpreted as "your latest paycheck"...
